Nurse Joy?
Anybody ever really think about what Nurse Joy says after she heals your Pokemon?
"We hope to see you again!"
Basically she's saying that she hopes you fail epically or your Pokemon get hurt. What kind of phrase is that? The programmers should've put more thought into what she says.

Re: Nurse Joy?
she is not saying she wants our pokemon to epicly fail... she is saying she hopes you return to the pokemon center again soon, which doesnt neccesarily mean that she wants you to epicly fail, but I can see why someone would think this way though.

Re: Nurse Joy?
she says she wants to see you again, that means she likes you, maybe she wants to see you again off duty. it would also be wrong if she said: i hope i never see your face here at the pokemon center ever again, bye!

Re: Nurse Joy?
I think it might be that they recieve some sort of commision the more times trainers comes up to them for healing. She wants you to heal your Pokemon a lot so she gets a lot of cash.
Also, as of recent, I think they changed it to "Please, come again!" or something like that.

Re: Nurse Joy?
My alternative thing was that she was actually concerned about the welfare of her patiants, and that coming back meant they were actually still alive. I mean, come on, the Pokemon world is dangerous, just considering the Pokemon! And assuming, of course, that there were c**ptons upon c**ptons of extremely effective, efficiant and brutal law enforcement that would have laid down laws to prevent things like Team Rocket from ever forming, and every Pokemon Trainer was competent. Considering that neither is true in the games, then in a world like that, I for one, would be utterly concerned for my fellow man, no matter how little we've met beforehand, if at all.
And yes, it's a little bit overanalyzing. But we ARE analyzing it, so that's to be expected.

Re: Nurse Joy?
Well, yeah I get what they were trying to do, but they couldn've put a little more effort into her phrase. Something like: "Take care!" or "Have a nice day!" or something like that. I mean it's not a fast food restaurant, it's a Pokemon Hospital.

Well yeah... they could of put in "take care" or something along those lines, but i guess they wanted it to sound bussiness profeissional... so they decided to use "please come again" term instead, I dont know their real reason for it though.

Re: Nurse Joy?
You know, she was possibly programmed to say "We hope to see you again!" for the Wi-Fi/local trading/battling purposes.
However, in HeartGold/SoulSilver, she says, "Please, come back any time!" She'll then say, "We hope to see you again!" after you obtain 4 Trainer stars. It was changed back to what it is now in Black/White.

Re: Nurse Joy?
I think since visiting a Pokemon Center is something that trainers do whenever they enter a new town, really, rather than only when a Pokemon is seriously injured, it's not so bad for her to say this. It's not like every time you go there, your Pokemon is really hurt. Most of the time it's just giving them a bit of a rest!
I agree it isn't the best thing to say in a medical facility though. xD

Re: Nurse Joy?
The Pokemon Center serves other uses besides healing your Pokemon team. Accessing the PC boxes and the trading/battling connection club, and as of Gen 5, contain Poke Marts. I think Nurse Joy's lines are fine, and welcoming. To me, Pokemon Centers are like a second home to me in the games. I visit them regularly.

She really, really, really wants to know where it hurts.
And she wants to fix it.
If anyone got the reference, we are now best friends.

Re: Nurse Joy?
I never put to much thought into it, but you guys make pretty good points. Aside from that, an evil Nurse Joy is kinda funny.
P.S. I did not get your reference Teddiursa of the Sky, but if it is any consolation the needles scared me.
