As you may know, a big announcement is to be made on the 8th of January. No one is quite sure what it could be. Will it concern the 6th generation? Could it be a new Pokemon? RSE remakes? A Wi-Fi event? A spin-off game for Wii-U? The list g

Having a Dragon Eevee would be interesting.

I would like to see some Physical Eevees at some point though.

Uh... Leafeon is a physical Eevee... it has physical bulk. They just mean what used to be just the special types back before the physical/special split.

I'd like to see a dragon Eevee as well but that's me liking dragons in general.

I think Ant meant having Eevee that would have been a physical type before the special/physical split. Like a Rock or Fighting type Eevee.

Grass is a Special type. Every Eeveelution falls into the Special type category. We have no Physical type Eeveelution

It may be possible to have a new Eevee form. I don't have proof to assure that but seeing how they introduced new evolutions for Eevee (2nd Gen added Umbreon and Espeon, while 4th added Leafeon and Glaceon) they might add 1 or 2 in the 6th Gen.

It would be cool to see a Ghost or Bug type Eeveelution.

I like this, but the western one will probaably be something more play on words like 'Drageon'.

Whoa. Dragon-Type Eeveelutions. Awesome.

Though, I cannot help but doubt the notion a little bit. Purple is also used for Poison Types and Ghost types, and who'se to say that they're any less likely? Any way, though, I just got a whole new reason to like Eevee.

This is interesting, but I'm betting more on the announcement being a new Shadow Pokemon game (seeing as they passed up 4th gen, save for Bonsly's appearance) or the 3rd Gen Remakes.

That being said, I'm not against this. But I feel it's too soon for 6th gen.

Usually main games are released every 4 years so most likely 2014. So it's about the right time for the first 6th gen Pokemon to be revealed. Lucario was revealed in 2005 and Diamond and Pearl weren't released until 2006 (Japan) or 2007 (English) for example. It seems like it will be a major announcement since they're making such a big deal of it. The last time they did something like this, they announced Black and White 2. I wouldn't say no to a new shadow game though :D

What is meant by all the current Eeveelutions including Flareon being special is that in games prior to 4th gen, all these types including Fire were "special". All Fire, Water, Electric, Dark, Psychic, Grass,and Ice moves were "Special" regardless of the move.

It's because you're a youngin. xD

Before 4th gen, all moves were divided into "Special" or "Physical" by their types. It didn't matter whether the actual move was a punch or a beam or a kick or anything. If it was a Fire-type move for example, it was ALWAYS a Special attack.
