Re: Four New Pokemon Revealed!
I'm thinking Manafi could possibly be the water starter. Very simple, sweet-looking Pokemon, obviously water type, which has potential to evolve into something much bigger.
The first silhouette says 'Mantine/Wailmer lovechild' to me, but I think a Mantine evolution is more likely. The second looks like a Breloom/Slowking combo.

Re: Four New Pokemon Revealed!
The 3rd silhouette looks like a farfetch'd and a spearow. The 2nd one looks like nothing I have ever seen before. That must be a completely new pokemon. And the 1st one looks like, just like everybody has said, a mantine pre-evo.

It wouldn't make sense if it was a starter... because it's the "prince of the sea." So that has more a special significance, meaning it's unique. So think legendary, as in like Mew, Celebi, and Jirachi.

Speaking of Farfetch'd, it might be possible that bird is actually holding a musical note, rather than having a musical note on it's head. Though from the looks of it, probably won't be the case. Even so, it would be cool if it was like that. A battle with Farfetch'd and his leek versus this bird and armed with a musical note, lol.

Re: Four New Pokemon Revealed!
It has just occured to me that the bird pokemon's musical note might be actually a scythe. It also might be part of his body and not something he is holding.

Well the first Pokemon's shadow is Mantine's evo I hink, because Mantine was in the trailer. I don't think 3) has musical note, it looks like a scyth to me, plus it is a bird bird+scthe+new= Murkrow's evo, and #2 is.....Aipom or Totodile's second evo?
I wonder when newe starters wiill be released, and If they will all be the same water, fire, and grass mix.....

The Japanese text specifically said that Pokemon has a shape of a musical note.

I know. But the first thing I said when I saw these Pokemon [before reading the text] were "Is that a scythe he's ho,ding?!" And then I said "I know that has something to do with Mantine!"

Maybe it's somehow related to farfected? Like, it's holding a leek that is shaped like a musical note?
*shot in head for bad ideas* :D

Re: Four New Pokemon Revealed!
Well even though it says it has the shape of a musical note, doesn't mean it actually IS a musical note. What I'm seeing is an evolved form of Marowak. Look closely. Beak shaped bone helmet maybe, holding a scythe, armour around the neck and on its tail. Ground/Steel Type perhaps? I think it would be awesome.
