Default There is an easy way to get shinies

Well, this is the point made short: There is an easier way to get shinies. On Yellow, Blue, or Red, catch about 50 Pokemon. Bring them all up to Stadium 1. Look at all their pictures. You will probally have a shiny. You will not identify it as a shiny on your Y/B/R game, because shinies started when Stadium 1 came out. This is an easy way to get shinies. However, they will be weird. I got a Mewtwo that was shiny. Green Mewtwo? No, the Mewtwo was red. I also got Zapdos. Gold Zapdos? No, Light Green Zapdos. I have not tried bringing them up to G/S/C, but tell me if they are still shiny when you do that.

THIS WORKS!

I'm extremely doubtful of this, as, as you stated, shinies didn't exist in R/B/Y. Perhaps you could take a picture of your TV screen showing one of these Pokemon?

Yeah, I'll do that later. The Mewtwo's name is KittyCat.

Wow, you seem so sure about this.
It could be possible seeing as you actually can trade shinies from gsc to rby.
But you should find a way to trade these pokemon to gsc to be sure they are shiny.

IIRC, shinies are just normal pokemon with an specific set of IV's.
So even if you catch 50 mons, it's no guarantee you'll get a shiny.
Maybe it's just your screen?

No, I go to my friend's house all the time. And that is where I saw Zapdos first. I will have pics up tomorrow.

...Those aren't shiny pokemon... Pokemon Stadium 1 just does that as a kinda fun thing for nicknaming your pokemon... They're not shiny... PS1 just alter's their colors a bit for different nicknames...

...Why have all of you never noticed that? All of the CPU players have pokemon that have weird names, and they're different colored... I've even tested it with 5 Bulbasaurs with different nicknames, and one was blue with a dark green bulb, one was light blue with a regular green bulb, and some other things. PS1 just goes the extra mile with that, even though it could just have a color scheme alteration thing programmed into it that just modifies the color based on the total Alphabetical value of the Pokemon's nickname (Like how your name effects what glitch pokemon appear on the coast of Cinnibar Island on RBY.) This is just a guess from a 12-year old, so I might be wrong. :P

Well then, it probally beats the guess of a 10-year-old. But hey, No one else in my class experienced this, so perhaps my guess could be correct.

Nope, gun6 is 100% correct.

Which means there's no need for this thread ^^
