Cough* Green Sprites are the original Sprites for both Red and Green Versions in Japan Cough*

What people dpn't realize is that Blue in japan was released after Red and Green, and Japans Blue is the same as Americas Red and Blue.

That geodude looks like it's braim is coming out...

Venosaur is getting squished from it's own flower.

I'm just glad that's in the past and not in the future.

Didn't they also come out in like 1995? Good graphics were hard to come by. I never really liked how they looked when you'd have them out; like Nidorina. She always looked squashed and her ass looked like the cheeks were larger than her body itself In LG she looks awesome. Hard to think how the games first came out long ago and it seems only like yesterday

I never liked Growlithe until I saw an episode with them. Same with Geodude. When I first started watching the show and Brock would send his out, I couldn't believe it looked that nice compared to the game. Growlithe just looked like they were sportin' mohawks or something... or seemed like huge fans of Sonic the Hedgehog.

One's that did look cool were Blastoise (I didn't like how Wartortle looked, though...), Charizard, Bulbasaur, Mewtwo, Mew (except for the Green one I just saw... what the hell?), Lickitung, Golem... what was up with Graveler?

Thank the Force they look so much better now.

I'd just like to point out to whoever said Green's sprites are ugly:

You guys are just conditioned to what you've been playing. If you started with Emerald, you'd think both sets are ugly. If Green was released and not R/B, you wouldn't find them half as ugly as you say they are.

That being said, RBG did have some pretty awkward sprites for these days. I always thought in RBY that eggy was more like a sphinx with 3 heads than a walking coconut tree.
