Pokemon Diamond/Pearl: GTS, Battle Tower, Underground Shinou!

The latest issue of the Japanese gaming magazine, Coro Coro, revealed more Wi-Fi details about Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl.

GTS (Global Trade Station)
The GTS (Global Trade Station) allows players to trade with anyone in the entire world.

Battle Tower
The Battle Tower makes a return in Pokemon Diamond/Pearl. Located inside the Battle Tower is the Wi-Fi Battle Room. You will be challenged by seven opponents from the internet.

Underground World of Shinou
The underground world of Shinou will feature a capture the flag game. Each player will have a flag in their secret base, and they must capture the opponent's flag and return it to their base to win. Players can set traps that will delay their opponent from reaching their flag. Another game in the underground world of Shinou is the feature to search for treasures in the underground.

The Underground world of Shinou is what really gets me excited. There might even be a new PE2K activity based on these since there is Wi-Fi.

I can't wait to go underground. It's going to be so awesome!

Also, I can trade with people that live in Canada and Britain (once they get it!) Yay!

Lotad, I can trade with you! I can trade with any PE2K member! I can trade with my best friend despite the fact that he lives three miles away! Paradise.

When the game comes out, Ryan needs to make a thread called: GTS Station, so we can find people to trade with and such!

Yay! And that would be awesome for a thread. I just want Starmie since thats how I catch a bunch of my Pokemon.

Okay I have wifi and all do you think we will have to deal with friend codes I never like those for Mario cart or AC:WW.

There is a chance we can get new activities based on the D/P games. Like Capture the Flag in a sort of way to gain money for URPG or NBL. I dunno. It's up to Lord Ryan, master of Pokemon.

if the wi-fi thing is on the internet does that mean instead of making us go to pokemon events? (which is pretty impossible for me unless they come to Australia)... you could just download the pokemon off the internet at certain times when they release them... that would be awesome. what do you guys think?

Grumpiguno, that's just what I was thinking! Damn, this will be so sweet. The good thing about GTS, is it will be alot easier to complete our PokeDex

I imagine it will work the same as Mario Kart and Animal Crossing, you have a friend code. We could have a friend code exchange

the GTS and battle tower will not use friend codes but the WiFi areas in all the pokemon centers will use FCs

Sadly, no. There's a Japan release date, but no American one.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon looks pretty good to play in the meantime. They better let you play as Pikachu in that thing, I know they let you play as Charmander but I'm not sure if they actually let you select your character...
