lol, yea, I don't really like any of the final evolutions of the starters either, although the images are still quite small. But I think I'll go with the penguin, which was my original pick anyways.

Grass final evo [Grass/Ground]
MMMM, awesome. Curse via leveling, as well as Crunch, which now runs off of attack (Same with Razor Leaf, which it also learns). And with stats like 95 base HP 109 base Attack 105 base Defense 56 base Speed 75 base Special Attack and 85 base Special Defense, he can easily become OU. Just watch out for Ice attacks ._.
Fire final evo [Fire/Fighting]
With 108 base Speed (315 max Speed at level 100 and max IVs and EVs, with a neutral nature) and 104 base Attack and Special Attack (which is 307 max Attack/Special Attack at level 100 and max IVs and EVs, with a neutral nature). Mix that with Calm Mind (a confirmed level up for this guy) and Scheme (the new Dark move that greatly raises Special Attack) he's going to have a lot of use I expect. Plus he looks awesome :D
Water final evo [Water/Steel]
111 base Special Attack is hot. While not as directly promising as the other two starters, his access to Haze, Swords Dance (level up), Flail, the new move Tide (which is 60 Attack Power, but doubles to 120 if the user's HP is below 1/2) and his immunity to Sand Storm from Steel make him look like fun :) 84 base HP 86 base Attack 88 base Defense 60 base Speed 111 base Special Attack 101 base Special Defense. Not a bad stat distribution.
I honestly can't decide which one I like best, either conceptually or usage-wise. I think I will try the fire monkey first, though.
And, just so I can share the other confirmed changes with you all, here is my list of what I felt was worthy of mention, as taken from my original post at Smogon:

Blastoise gets those I am happy. Breeding, btw. And Fake Out.
Also, Aerodactyl gets the 3 elemental fangs, which are physical, on top of the 80 BP 100% accurate Steel move which inflicts flinch, and the new physical Hyper-Beam like move. Aero looks kinda scary, Thunder or Fire Fang on Skarm is lol.
Articuno gets the Ice quick attack move, and two flying moves of unknown effect. I had to look up Arti cuz he's one of the more overlooked legends.
Arcanine gets physical Crunch and a 120 BP Fire physical move. Finally he might get some use, those nice stats and what a **** movepool he's had up until now.
Dragon Dance Feraligatr is lol, but I'm not completely surprised. With physical Crunch, Dragon Claw, Ice Fang (level up move, btw), Ice Punch, move #401 which is a 90 BP Water typed Physical move, and Superpower (level up), Feraligatr is looking good as well.
Scizor gets a 70 BP Dark ch upped move, the 80 BP Bug move, and the 80 BP Steel flinching move.
Aromatherapy is a level up move for Meganium now, with Ingrain as a breeding move. Still nothing to get excited over =\
Heracross gets the 70BP physical Dark ch% up move, Aerial Ace as level up, and a Fighting move of 120 base power ._.
Sneasel/Weavile get Ice Quick Attack, Dark ch% up move, Scheme, and a 80 BP Dark flinching move. With Swords Dance as a TM, that's a nice movepool to go along with Weavile's 125 Speed.
**** yeah, Endeavor Donphan And lol Fire and Thunder Fang. Charm is worthy of mention, as is Knock Off.
Kingdra gets Signal Beam which is now special based, and a new special Dragon move with 90 BP.
Blissey gets breeding Sub and Helping Hand in breeding.
Sceptile loses special Leaf Blade and gains an 80 BP special Grass move that can lower SpDef, another Grass move with no attack power (but targets one enemy) and unknown effect, and the Grass Overheat. Still, his movepool is limited, since Crunch and Dragon Claw and Thunderpunch are now physical Looks like SubSeed is the way to go.
Blaziken gets Baton Pass and Agility in breeding, Brave Bird, and the 120 BP Fire move.
Counter and Mirror Coat Swampert is awesome. Gets a 65 BP special Ground accuracy drop move as well, and a 100 BP fighting move.
Shiftry gets Scheme, physical Razor Leaf, Leaf Storm, and Whirlwind.
Shedinja gets Ghost quick attack, and 3 Bug moves, 2 of which are Physical (80 and 60 BP) and a 90 BP special.
Aggron gets Curse, lol.
Sharpedo gets physical Crunch, physical Water Quick Attack, Ice Fang, and that Dark 70BP ch% up move (quite popular >_>)
Zangoose gets 120 BP Fighting move, 80BP Bug Move, and (again) the Dark ch% up move.
Haze Milotic, lol.
Salamence gets a physical Psychic 80BP move that flinches, physical Crunch and Dragon Claw, Fire Fang, a physical 70bp Ghost ch% up move, a 100 BP 75% accurate flinching physical Dragon move (>_>), and Thunder Fang. That's scary.
Metagross gets Steel quick attack (****), the physical Psychic 80BP flinching move, physical Pursuit, and a 100BP physical Fighting move. Scary as well, double STAB physical moves ._______.
Rhydon and his evo get a Rock-typed Cross Chop (140 ATK and 130 DEF now, btw, with 115 HP >_>) Crunch, the 100 BP physical Dragon move, the 3 elemental fangs, 100 BP Fighting move, and a Rock hyper beam.
And while everyone complained about Muk losing Sludge Bomb due to it being special, he at least gets a 120 Poison move; the downside is that it has 70% accuracy =\
Oh, and what the [yams]. Ampharos does NOT have Tail Glow.

For those of you who look forward to playing, especially competitively, say HI to a lot of crappy Pokemon who may get some use.
Also, if you look at the icons, #487, this is what it is: Ghost/Dragon type. And his stats... 150HP 100ATK 120DEF 90 SPD 100SAT 120SDF. Holy christ, this guy is a defensive monstrosity ._.

Re: All Pokemon in Diamond/Pearl Revealed!
Do you not read? It's Ghost/Dragon. Weak to Dragon, Ice, Dark, and Ghost. No 4x weak.

Definitly. The spirites and small sprites that I've seen don't sway me about DP Pokemon. I think I might just raise Johto and Kanto through the game. There are some Pokemon that are a bit.. odd lol. I mean that tortoise has a Bonsai on it's back?!
Still, I like Potchama best
Water/Steel, interesting combo.

Re: All Pokemon in Diamond/Pearl Revealed!
If you have heard what I said yesterday, you would know what I am talking about, but, Karanakushi does NOT evolve into Lapras, it evolves into Toritodon, but who's to say Toritodon can't evovle into Lapras. If it doesn't, I will be one happy person. Bye :)

Re: All Pokemon in Diamond/Pearl Revealed!
It's confirmed that the Lapras look-alikes have nothing to do with Lapras.
