Hidden power's type depends on IVs, which can't be changed. Here's the whole deal: http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/foru...ead.php?t=3299

I'm not sure but I think it depends on your pokemon type.
Just like secret power is affected by the surroundings, hidden power is affected by the type.

If that didnt make sense maybe this will

Secret power = surroundings
hidden power = pkmn's type

I think I'm right though because when a grass or water pkmn uses HP on a ground type
its super effective. But when an electric or rock pkmn uses it on ground it doesnt do much damage. That link is also correct but it doesnt explain everything. What I just put on here is the remaining part.

K, no. It's just a coincidence. Hidden power and the pokemon's type have nothing to do with each other
