Default Kan's New Pokes

Volcavache@ Chesto
Quiet
252 HP 129 D 129 SpD

Eruption
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Rest

My baby. Found on my first day of questing for shinies. Eruption over Flamethrower for theme...the rest is pretty standard.

Malfleuris@ Lefties
Docile
252 HP 129 D 129 SpD

Ingrain
Giga Drain
Sludge Bomb
Moonlight

A tankified Vileplume with great IVs. Ingrain and pound with SB/GD, with ML for healing backup.

That's pretty much what I've gotten done in the past 5 months...

By the way, the names mean something in French.

Wink Re: Kan's New Pokes

I know vache means Volca-cow, is malfleuris -bad flowers or something?

Anyways, is this for 202 or 386?

202:

Cowdude: Quiet raises spatk, but you have all the evs in defense O_o. Camerupt has mediocre defense, but decent attack powers, so I'd put 252 HP and split in attacks instead. Rest you can prolly keep, but only if your team can heal bell. Otherwise, just dump for something else. (Protect @ leftovers, eg.

Bad Flower: Same thing as cowdude, your EVs and style of moveset conflicts. Ingrain isn't a great move due to the extreme weaknesses, and with no evs in attack, you can't really attack either. I'd go for a personality that actually does something, *checks dex* Vileplume can always do Aromatherapy, or Sunny day + solar beam + HP fire (if yo ucan get it)/Sleep powder + Moonlight. This case, max out in speed (199) and then have a Modest nature with split EVs in spAtk and HP, more in the spA though. makes it a sweeper. (cholorphyll)

Well, I had to shorten it a bit, but Volvavache = Volcan+Vache = Volcano Cow. Malfleuris = Mal+Fleuris = Pain Blossom.

I forgot to mention something above...these are mainly meant for 2vs2 battles, where you have another Pokemon to back them up. Malfleuris just soaks up attacks while dishing out some damage while the other Poke, prolly a sweeper, wreaks havoc. Volcavache is just thematic, not really meant to be good.

It may be a bit sadistic, but in my double battles, i like to pick off one of the pokemon and then jus two on one the remaining pokemon when i'm done playing with him

Maybe you can add Sleep Powder and Toxic for annoyance (vile). I'd use Sludge Bomb as its offensive move. Even though Vileplume is a staller in this case, I'd give some EPs in Attack. 182/16/176/0/0/136 w/ Brave nature for example. That'll give it 220 Attack with decent defense if Vileplume scores 31 on all stats. I have no doubt that there are better ev distro than this though.

How do you plan to have a pokemon asleep and poisoned at the same time?

Camerupt: Fine IMO

Plume: You have 3 healling moves.... IMO, go with
- Leech Seed
- Petal Dance
- Sludge Bomb
- Toxic/Sleep Powder/Stun Spore

Attach a Persim Berry to get rid of the cunfusion after Petal Dance

Put one pogey to sleep, and poison others. (Assuming sleep clause is activated).

Vileplume cant learn leech seed in 202 or 386

thinking bout it id prolly go with what mlugia said..
hp fire lowers your speed 1 point so you need 252 in it and can have any nature you want [preferably modest] to outspeed an aerodactyl, jolteon,or crobat by 2 points when sunny day is in effect. this allows with modest nature a special stat of 327[with HP fire] which is then boosted to 1.5 with sunny day for both solarbeam and hp fire, there are many different sets for vileplume though.

you could have in 386

substitute
flail
sunnyday
[?] maybe swords dance
with liechi

but that set is screwed by ghosts, steels, rocks and tyranitar in particular ; /.

mmm, i dont know why but id prolly go with aromatherapy, instead of sleep powder in ruby sapphire being one of the few decent pokemon who can learn it who are half usual in ruby/sapphire i tend to find i only switch pokes like vile in against pokes who have a big weakness to vileplume, in particular swamperts. so that gives you a turn to aromatherapy or sunny day if you want to sweep depending on your situation, just my opinion there though.
