Default what's in a pokemon's name?

it's like a puzzle,
ok, take a pokemon's name, and split in into pieces like this:

Aipom
Aip om

aip = ape, for the monkey.
om = palm, for the hand on his tail.

Articuno
artic uno

artic = arctic, ice type.
uno = one.

Treecko
tree cko

tree = grass type.
cko = gecko.

Torchic
tor chic

tor = torch, fire type.
chic = chick, for the bird.

c'mon, it's fun!

spheal
sphe al

sphe = sphere, for the round shape
al = seal.

spheal sounds cuter than 'round seal'

pikachu - Pika is a shortened version of pikapika, spark
pikachu - chu is an onomotopoeia of a mouse squeak.

Gyarados, the gyara part sounds like gary, which means garys, Gyarados, i think, he has one, at least he dose in some of the games.

Gyarados's name may be derived from a combination of 虐殺 gyakusatsu massacre/slaughter, and 逆境 gyakkyō, hardship/adversity. Both words relate to the creature's violent nature and the hardship it experienced before evolving. The dos may just indicate that it's the second in its evolutionary line. It could also be a reference to the Japanese ドスdosu, the sound of stabbing or biting. This would certainly fit in with Gyarados's violent nature and sharp fangs. In the beta version of the games, it was called Skullkraken (a reference to the legendary Kraken, which ruined sailors in a similar way to Gyarados).
Well, there you go. Its actualy realy violent.
