Salamenace Move-Set
I went to the pokemon store yesterday (July 28th) and fortunatly went to the pokemon store , when I got up stairs there was a machine that had 3 pokemon you could get from it, Salamenace, Tropius and Gardivoir. I got Salamenace 3 times . back to real topic, what would be a good move-set for my newly hatched lvl bagon which is obviously gonna be a salamenace? I had this in mind:
-Flamethrower (TM.38... I think)
-Crunch (learns at lvl 61)
-Dragon Claw (learns at lvl 79)
-Rest (TM.44.....can you get it multiple times??)
Item Attached: Chesto Berry (for Chesto Rest)
So what's your move-sets?????

Re: Salamenace Move-Set
I'd add Hydro Pump over Crunch, and Fire Blast over Flamethrower for more power, but it's your call. Modest or Timid nature, as for Ev's, 252 Spcl. Attk., 252 Speed, 6 Hp.

Re: Salamenace Move-Set
Erm.....Thanks but I'd rather have Flamethrower because, sure Fire Blast has more power but Flamethrower has more accuracy+PP. Also whats up with Hydro pump??, how would that help him???

Re: Salamenace Move-Set
Hydro Pump covers its Rock weakness. As far as I'm concerned, it'll help more than Crunch, even if the accuracy is 80. The fact that Crunch can lower an opponents spcl. defense doesn't matter to me seeing as Salamence kills stuff easily without it.

Re: Salamenace Move-Set
I prefer a physical salamence with:
Dragon Dance
Earthquake
Aerial Ace
Brick Break
Covers its rock and ice weaknesses and can sweep teams. AA for STAB.

Re: Salamenace Move-Set
Salamence is ok with special moves but can't really cover its weaknesses that well. With Dragon Dance, Sally is uber.

Re: Salamenace Move-Set
Elemence: Crunch, Dragon Claw, Fire Blast, Hydro Pump. Crunch against popular Psychic pogeys and Dusclops, Fire Blast and Hydro Pump for verstality and power, Dragon Claw for STAB. Modest can OHKO other Salemence with Dragon Claw, Timid Nature can outrun more pogeys. I personally would go with Timid.
DDancemence: Dragon Dance, Earthquake, Fire Blast, Aerial Ace/Hidden Power *Flying*

Re: Salamenace Move-Set
Thanks guyz, I thought bout it and I desided to make him Elemence. But just 1 probablem. His nature is Carefull which raises S.D but lowers S.A, is there any way to raise his S.A (Special Attack) without having to hatch a new one cuz He's already lvl 57 .

Only way is to put EVs in sp.defense. It won't make a difference if you're just playing the game, though. On netbattle it would make a difference.
