Default Cranidos & Skull Fossil

Where does one find the Skull Fossil? If it's in the underground, as someone told me, is there any way to narrow that down? Also, what's the earliest one can "revive" the skull fossil into Cranidos?

Thanks!

Basically, you dig it up in the Underground like a Sphere or a Shard in Diamond version, then take it to the scientist dude behind the counter in Oreburgh's Coal Museum place. So you can get your fossil revived as soon as you get the fossil.

But is there any way to improve your odds of finding the Skull Fossil? Or is it pure luck?

It's pure luck, so you might want to start getting some four leaf clovers. Not even beating the E4 helps, but seeing as I've revived at least 14 Shieldons by now, it's not too hard to get a fossil and a Cranidos of your own.

Did you remember to put it in your bag before you came up? Go back to the underground and check your treasures, select skull fossil and then select to put it in your bag.

so do you just dig under ground where it says there is gold to get the fossils? and when I am digging, sometimes i get gray litle blocks that look like Tetris pieces. What are those?

Those gray things are really hard pieces of rock that help hold up the walls from crashing down on you. Try not to hit those unless you want the wall to collapse faster.

The museum in the mine town can't remember the name but the guy in there revives fossils. You just have to digg in the underground the same way you find everything. That's how I found a skull fossil. Not sure if that's what you wanted to know but I hope so......@_@

What are the chances of finding a fossil?

I've actually snared 4 already. Willing to put them as hold items when I offer Pokemon.
