Default PE2K Ladder of Fame

PE2K LADDER OF FAME

Alright here it is, hopefully one of the moderators can make this official or something. Anyways, I wanted to see more battling on Diamond & Pearl here, so I thought why not make a tournament? This is of course only on Diamond/Pearl since it is the only way that you can battle on WiFi.

There will be 1 level of competition: level 100. If you don’t think you have the moveset, ask for it on the Moveset & Strategy board. It’s there for a reason.

Banned Pokemon: Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-oh, Celebi, Latias, Latios, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Manaphy, Phione, Darkrai, Shaymin, & Arceus.

These pokemon have been banned by the games in the battle tower, and for good reason too; their base stats are just too high.

Any move is legit, along with any held item, you may have duplicate items held by more than one pokemon if you so wish.

A maximum battle per day limit of 1 battle is in effect at all times. No more than 1 battle against anybody on PE2K’s Ladder of Fame shall be counted. This is in effect so there isn't so much ladder shuffling going around... so you can enjoy your time on the top!

The only way you are able to move up the ladder, is by battling opponents up no more than one position. For example, if you are the Saffron Gym Leader, you may only challenge the Cinnabar Gym Leader, and the only people capable of challenging you is the Fuchsia Gym Leader.

To challenge the Pokemon Champion, you need to be a Region Champion and you may only challenge the Pokemon Champion once a day.

Sign up to be entered in this, and your name will be randomly selected to fill the positions. There are 53 spots to fill, so sign up! After 53 people have signed up, those people will be the names used in the Random Drawing to determine where you will be on the "Ladder." Everyone else that signs up after that will start out as a regular trainer. I am obviously the first one signed up. Everyone left over, will be just a standard trainer, working towards becoming a gym leader, so you can eventually challenge a Champion!

If you are a standard trainer, you must start out by challenging and beating the first gym leader in any region. You may then work your way up from there.

While having the rank of "Gym Leader," you have to use that particular type and that type ONLY. You may use pokemon of duel types, but one of those types has to be the type of the current gym leader you are. There is an absolute must of having 4 Pokemon of the type of the current Gym that you are the leader in, in your party. For your fifth & sixth Pokemon, you may use a different type, but that Pokemon must be able to use the TM of that specific Gym Leader in the Previous Pokemon Games. Use this link to see if the Pokemon you want to use is capable of learning that move: http://www.serebii.net/attackdex-dp/ You don't need to necessarily use that move on your Pokemon, but it just need to be able to learn it. For example, I am the leader of the Vermilion Gym. If I want to use Alakazam in my party, he does learn the move Shock Wave, so I am able to use him. Click on the Moves below the Gym Listings below to see what Pokemon you will be able to use.

While having the rank of "Elite Four Member," "Region Champion," or "Pokemon Champion," you may use whatever type you want. This way, it makes things even more challenging. Think of it... Start out as the Gym Leader for Pewter City, and you have to use Rock types. Then you want to move up to the Cerulean Gym using Rock Pokemon... You get the idea.

Rankings go as follows:

Sure I will join, but I think you should wait about 1 week to start it or lower it to 50 because people are still just buying the games. They just came out a little over a week ago in america :P

This isn't going to be started for weeks, perhaps months, beacuse of the simple fact of not only me but everyone else needs to get their pokemon up to level 100.

Same here. EV training, to me at least, is much more difficult in these new games...

I like to use physical moves a lot and its SO hard to train from lvl1 for Attack EVs because the only ones from low lvls are shinx (its evo), Kriketune and Bibarel... which is annoying because in any area they only make up 5%-20% of the pokemon that can appear. Not to mention the ones that appear AFTER national dex.

P.S. When are you gona update the list for me to be in there? ;)

Everyone, including you and me, will be put into a random drawing to determine who is where...

And no, Use any types you want at all times...

And I assume you want to be entered, so I'll add your name to the list...

Alright, Jack, you're added, I've also edited in a new rule. Once 53 people have signed up, that is when we will do the Drawing to see where everyone starts out as. Everyone else from that point on that wants to join will start out as a regular trainer.
