CoroCoro: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Sequel!

The latest issue of the CoroCoro gaming magazine released new images of the sequel to Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. The two versions are for the Nintendo DS and are titled Time Exploration Team and Darkness Exploration Team. There will be a total of 16 different possible starting Pokemon. The magazine revealed 5 of them so far which includes Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, Pikachu, and Munchlax.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Time Exploration Team and Darkness Exploration Team will be available in Japan this fall. There is currently no US release date available.

And given the current timetable, they'll be in the USA sometime in the late winter/early spring of 2008.

Not exactly.
The first ones came out in Japan in November 2005, and we never got them in the US until September 2006.

Seems like the overall setup will probably remain very similar looking at the pictures, and graphics don't seem to have changed at all. For one thing, I hope that:

1. The storyline is much longer, more exciting, and less wishy-washy.
2. More towns to visit, and more of an actual "traveling" system on the map. Having only Pokemon Square gets boring.
3. Actual villains rather than smacking the sense into mistaken legendaries. Shadow Lugia anyone?
4. No more bloody 99 level dungeons. I can never, ever finish even just one of them in a single sitting.
5. Some fun, screw around area to chew the fat. Kind of like Golden Saucer in Final Fantasy 7.

Hopefully most of these, if not all, become true.

I hope there's some sort of Wi-Fi Unknown Dungeon Race or Battle or whatever. I will win all the time in that. XD

And there'd better be more towns, as Neo said.

Honestly, I'm bummed. I was hoping it wasn't going to be a Mystery Dungeon sequel. Oh well. I really didn't like the first Mystery Dungeon that much. :P

Well I didnt either but I dont care as long as they keep coming with more Pokemon games for me to collect.


Wow the game looks really good by just some pictures. Cant wait to see more. Cant wait for it to come later maybe fall of 08 because I know it wont be to soon. It seems a whole lot better than the other one to.

I wish they'd have Shinx as a starter... Or, at very least, Cyndaquil and Eevee. ><

But yeah, I agree with Neo. A longer story line, actual villians, and no more monster dungeons would be great. I never have the patience for those things. Rarely do I get past the 10th floor, because of constant training. XP

YES! having Shinx would be awesome! and thats really cool Munchlax is one of the Starters too! And i Also agree with Neo. A Longer Story would be much better, Oh and i also just heard on Serebii.net that all the Starter Pokemon From Kanto Johto and Hoenn will be the other Starters, The rest is on Serebii' If anyone wants to know everything else.

I hope, that we'll be able to get Darkai/Shhaymin/Aruceas from them. That would be cool! And more people would buy it.
