Suicune, Entei, & Raikou
I was just curious to where you may have encountered the legenday dogs for the first time. I have my level 34 seel out front while I'm using max repel as I try to hunt down Suicune!

Still no luck for me, but I'm fine anyway, as I'm busy training up my Pokemon. If I happen to run into Suicune I'll just give 'em a taste of my level 70 Charizard.

I first ran into Suicune heading south of Fuschia for some training. I thought Arena Trap would work, but it didn't. Checked the Pokedex after the battle, and he was up the far side of the map. x.X; I finished on that side of Seafoam Islands and started to head south from Pallet. Got bored and checked the Dex. He was on the same route as me. So I surfed for a bit and he was the first wild Pokemon I ran into on that route. Nabbed him in my Master Ball. :)

Well yeah, I mean, for a shiny you don't really have to strategise, you just slowly weaken and then capture as normal.
As opposed to a Pokémon which basically NEVER runs into you, and when it does, it flees instantly. It's a pain in the ass to weaken, and even if you try to trap it in battle it just uses Roar. Anyways, don't the beasts only appear once the E4 have been wiped out for the first time?

I did the same thing I did to get Latios and Latias. Got my lvl 45 Wobbuffet from my R/S game after I ran into it on accident. So then I finally cornered it somewhere and had Wob out to keep it from running. When it was almost dead used an Ultra Ball to get a Suicune on my game. :)

I have tried every inch of grass, with max repel w/ my 41 pupitar, and still no luck. I have to be doing something wrong. Yes I have the National Dex, which means i beat the elite four... so why isn't the damn thing showing up? this is getting to be a pain in meh @$$!

It's random, totally random. They pop up when you're not looking for them, like I found out when I was training Heracross. XD
EDIT: I just remembered that Repels all work on the highest level in your party. ^^;

Well there is a "predictable" way to encounter a "Scaredy Poke" for the first time.
See this post: http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/foru...3162#post93162 And the one above it by me, which tells my whole method in detail. It worked for me more than once so it could work for other people. Once might have been a fluke but if it worked 7 times, it's not an accident. As for me, I saw Suicine by accident in my FR when I was trying to catch a Nidoran F to trade to my Ruby. I just threw an Ultra Ball at him since I wanna use my Master Ball on Mewtwo so I can choose his nature to be Modest. Of course, that didn't work and he ran but now I can see his Location in the Dex. The thing about Pkmn like that is that their location changes if you enter a House or Fly somewhere so you can't do that. They WILL switch Locations.

I haven't encountered Raikou at all... and I'm at what... level 75s? o_O strange...

Fire REd, encountered Entei, just threw a Master ball at it. I don't know what I'll encounter on Leaf Green for I forgot which starter I chose, then used my Action Replay to get the other 2 without having to trade. I got the other legends on Colliseum so I'll do a trade back and forth.
I encountered Entei after I went by the 4th guard going to Elite 4, and it was like in the water as I surfed!
