I'm considering training a Walrein, but I'm not sure about some things.

-How do you think would I best EV train him?

-what nature would best suit him?

Protect for recovering and looking out for unexpected moves. His high HP gives it a chance to dish Toxic out.

Yawn is to phaze, and to give Walrein a free turn to attack.

If Body slam serves nothing more than to PAR, then in this case (if you're making it a tankish pokemon), spread its EVs evenly in all but speed. Stick the EVs for Speed in either its HP or its special attack, or attack if Body slam would be your main attack. Personality would add to one attack and subtract the other?

Standard non-hail walrein, if you plan on using abomasnow there's another more effective set which I can find for you. Max HP is necersarry on walrein as it improves it's overall defences. Likewise walrein's weaknesses tend to be special attacks so he gets beat up by them anyway, so max defence and plug the last EV into SpDef. RestTalk for recovery, ice move for STAB rather than water since it has better coverage paired with earthquake. Waterfall and Body Slam can be used in their place, should you so wish.

This is an epic revival of a really dead thread, so they were actually talking about R/S/E Walrein, but yes, the new standard is what you posted.
