No, it won't make them weaker unless you never use them in battle ever.

Putting them in the daycare for a little while or giving them a few rare candies won't hurt in the long run.

Really sorry about this guys, but i have one more question and i didnt want to make a new fourm because its a really small question

so yeah he said. so its best to save the game give it some rare candies or leave it at the day care, I’d say to around level 15, check the IV’s, and then reset

1)at what stage do we save

2) WHEN WE RESET WILL THE IVS be the same

Well if you're breeding the Pokemon, the best way is probably to save the game once the Day Care Man has an egg for you. Then take the egg. Hatch it and put it in the daycare to whatever level. Then check the IVs. If it's bad, reset. Then take the egg again and repeat til you get good IVs.

The nature and everything of the Pokemon will be the same, but the IVs will be different.
