Gym Pokemon
I have seen people arguing about this in the Sinnoh Gym Leader application so I really think this needs to be settled. People have been complaining on what mons are allowed in what gym.

I'm aware it gets Magical Leaf as a move, but does that mean something like Kangaskhan should be allowed in a Water gym just because it learns Surf...?

Of course there are certain exceptions, Dragonite and Cradily in a water gym due to their habbitat, PorygonZ in an electric gym for it being made of computer data, Gengar in a psychic or dark gym due to the nature and history of the pokemon in game and anime wise, but Mismagius just seems like too far a stretch. Simply because the makers of the DP games failed to put enough types to fill up a three pokemon gym leader, not even with Mismagius mind you, does not mean that the URPG should allow such a far stretch there.
The URPG has access to every pokemon except legendaries to place in a gym and should allow few of these exceptions to take place. When they do, they should at least make sense.
Just my two cents in the debate. I don't care either way if he has it but I felt the need to try and debate a little

Birth of the Spirit of Eterna: Missmaguis has quite a long list of reasons that she is allowed in this gym. I shall go down them for those who wish to know why the spirit lives in the gym. The first reason she resides here is because in Sinnoh you can catch Missmagius in the Eterna forest. Next is she naturally learns Magical Leaf and can learn the Gym TM: Energy Ball. Finally, in Sinnoh 2 gym leaders have Mons like her that either naturally or un-naturally have moves like her and/or are located near the local gyms. ( Candice the Snowpoint Gym Leader & Volkner the Sunny Shore Gym Leader). However, unlike their Pokemon Missmagius fulfills all three qualities being located near the gym, naturally learning a grass move, and learning the gym TM.
1.) Habitat: Eterna Forest DP
2.) Level-Up Grass Move: Magical Leaf
3.) Learns Gym TM: Energy Ball
4.) Other Moves: Rain Dance, Sunny Day, Lucky Chant*
5.) DP Gym Leaders: Candice the Snowpoint Gym Leader & Volkner the Sunny Shore Gym Leader
6,) Flavor: She also reminds me of the Old Dark Witch of the Forest in classic mythology.
*These moves are commonly learned by grass type Pokemon or suite the flavor.

Using that method the gyms would have a tonne of mons that didn't belong in their teams, and if it happens for one person why not for everyone else, see my point.

In my opinion, if you truly are a leader with dignity, why do you even bother with Pokemon that are not your type? There are a lot of Pokemon that learn Fire moves or breed with Fire Pokemon and would make a nice addition to my Cinnabar squad. But my gym is a Fire Gym, so I'm using Fire Pokemon only. I don't even want any other type in my gym.

It keeps going on and on. I feel it really does need to be settled. Like they have said. Some have reasonable explanations but some are rediculous. Now I understand some types have more than others, but definetly plenty to fill a gym so really either it should be it has to be really really closely related to be in the gym, only be the gyms type pokemons, or just make it so that people can have whatever mons they want in their gym. Otherwise some are given the privelege to have mons that aren't there type and they gain the advantage to have an edge while other leaders have to rise to the challenge of overcoming the weaknesses. Now I thought that was what being a gym leader was all about. Truthfully I have no idea which side I'm on, but I feel it does need to be settled.

Re: Gym Pokemon
You already have my opinion in there.
Personally, though, I think the rule needs to be specified more. We either need a list of pokemon or we need very strict guide lines on what is allowed and what is not and cannot be misread.
When I first got my water gym, I was asked if I wanted to place my Dragonite in it. I declined, but that's just my experience in the past. I would, however, like to keep my barnacle in it. =P

Re: Gym Pokemon
Its like I talked to a friend about. Just because a mon like Medicham ban be found near snowpoint and learns ice punch doesn't really mean it should be in a Snow Gym. Like Smurf said there does need to be a list. Its like saying you could have a Honchkrow in your Grass gym because Murkrow can be found in the Eterna Forest.

Re: Gym Pokemon
in the beginning I complained about Ekruteak having Houndoom.
But at the time, there existed only 5 ghost pokemon, so it had to be that way.
I never got why a Dragonite should be in a water gym, there are plenty of water pokemon that don't have its weaknesses(namely Ludicolo, that don't have the electric or grass weakness, nor Ice like Dragonite does.Plus, there are many bulky water pokemon like Milotic that can resist some attacks and fight back a lot.).
However, i tried too to do something like this. When I first became a Gym leader- of Azalea gym- I asked if I could take Flygon in my gym line, being it a Big Dragonfly, having a pre-evo that looked like a bug, and being of the Bug egg section.
My request had a serious point, unlike the Mismagius thing. I mean, it has to be somehow related to the type of the gym, and other than the attacks, Mismagius doesn't have anything.
Like if I was asking to use Lapras in my Psychic gym, 'cause it learns Psychic, Rest, C-ray(some psychic use it too) and you find one in the Silph Co. in Red.

Re: Gym Pokemon
The decision is for the League Organizers to make. The only problem is that Jack doesn't appoint active League Organizers.
