Default Star Wars: The Dark Council (PG-13 RP)

The tragic death of Luke Skywalker, who gave his life to destroy the Death Star, was not in vain. Because of the millions who died (a suspect two million, including Droids) on board the Death Star, as well as the destruction of the super laser meant for planetary annihilation, they considered it their greatest victory of all. However, the Emperor commanded a new Death Star be built-- one 400 kilometers large, making it 900 kilometers wide.

Darth Vader sent thousands of drones out to planets, because he felt there was still an unusual disturbance in the force. Though Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin claimed that Vader was the last of his ancient religion, it was becoming clearer to him there were more still alive, still in hiding. Obi-Wan had still been alive, proving perhaps there were those still in hiding, alive. If this were true, he feared with the word that the greatest force of the Empire had been destroyed, a possible beckon of hope would shine out to all the former Jedi Masters, giving them reason to train new Jedi's and help lead a rebellion against the Empire.

The Great Jedi Purge had resulted in the deaths of countless Jedi warriors, but obviously hadn't killed them all. Though his greatest fear should have been for Jedi such as Yoda, he was more concerned with this disturbance he felt. It seemed like someone-- or as he had thought, something with ungodly strength in the force had surfaced after who knows how long.

Vader, against some of his thoughts, sent a drone to the one person he knew he could trust with this knowledge-- his secret apprentice. The knowledge Vader had an apprentice had been hidden away from all people, including his Master, the Emperor. He stated to his apprentice that he would need his services to find this disturbance-- to find this possible trainer of Jedi scum who might try to bring down the Empire.

It was unthinkable by most of the men around Lord Vader, but it seemed as though he was beginning to show a spark of fear for some reason-- something unthinkable by all men. The Emperor, through means of holo-voice, demanded to know what it was that troubled Vader-- his only answer was "The destruction of the Death Star". The Emperor was no fool and knew that was not the reason, but ignored it.

Now, two years later, his apprentice searches for all possible knowledge as to what this force is that both puzzles and worries his Master. As it worries his Master, it worries him.

The Rebel Alliance has now formed a sub-force known as "The Holy Alliance", which is an elite group of soldiers consisting of skilled pilots, loyal rebels, specialist mechanics, the best in battle strategists, and a few assassins who want revenge on the Empire at any means necessary. Princess Leia Organa is the driving force behind this "Holy Alliance", which she has been as bold as to state "will be the greatest fighting force the Empire will ever see". Han Solo, reluctant to join the force, eventually did.

The Death Star II is coming along with leaps and bounds, faster than the original in fear that the Rebels might try and take advantage of the slightly soft, exposed underbelly of things in this situation. For some strange reason, Vader is not interested in the project, much unlike the first, which though he disliked because he felt it was rather underhanded, it was a magnificent power which would only aid the Empire. He is now in seclusion, away from even the knowledge of the Emperor, which only adds a hatred in the Emperor-- a hatred which sparked after the destruction of the Death Star. That spark is now a raging bond fire in his mind.

The Emperor, because of his inability to contact his apprentice, has formed a council of members whom he believes are the most elite forces in the Empire. Because of spies in the Rebel Alliance, as well as the numerous attacks and takeovers on Empire bases in the past year, he knows all too well of the Holy Alliance which is headed by Princess Leia. This elite group he has is consistent of ten people; three unnamed assassins, three perfect pilots, two perfect gunmans who double as snipers, a suspect new apprentice of the Emperor, and a battle strategist whom the Emperor has as much faith in as he does his own apprentice.

This elite group has been called "The Dark Council", as they remain nameless to the Emperor. They have been given commission of the entire Empire forces if absolutely needed. Their only goal is the complete and utter annihilation of the Holy Alliance and the Rebel Alliance.

These two sides will eventually meet, and when they do, the hair and hell shall fly. The struggle the Rebels lead against the Empire may even errupt into an outright War at the rate they are having so many join them because of the hate for the Empire.

Two sides -- one outcome.

(as time progresses, plot will be added)

This RP is a public one, but we'd much prefer it if you'd be as kind as to join The Dark Council Club. Be noted, but The Dark Council is not just a club for people in this RP-- it is an active Star Wars, Metroid, Mecha-Anime/Game club which is quite open minded as to regular chit-chat and common help. Most of the time we are a simple chit-chat club.

If you do not want to join the club to join this RP, that is fine. However, I ask it of you not to join if you're not going to take things seriously. I've worked very hard on this RP, and I don't want somebody to just come in here, make some really drastic changes to the plot, then just leave and mess it up. That happened in the first RP we ever had, and ended when we made a second one which was Dark Council exclusive. I don't want to regret opening this up for everyone.

PLEASE READ:

Do not-- I repeat, do NOT post your signups or questions here. If you want to sign-up for this RP, please go to the official The Dark Council sign-up thread here. I don't want this to be a flooded area with anything except posts that are directly for the RP. If you have ANY QUESTIONS whatsoever, please post them in The Dark Council main thread.

Q: WTF? SKYWALKER DIDN'T DIE YOU FRIGGIN' NOOB! WHY'D YOU SAY HE DIED?
A: Because this wouldn't work if Luke didn't die. Look, I've worked on this RP about ten times now trying to get a decent plot-- every decent plot that works off an original script usually works with someone beloved dying, or someone missing, or rewriting characters. Since I chose not to screw with the basic ballance and nature of original characters, I decided just to kill one of them off so it would spark a key chain of events.

Q: What's this "disturbance" that Darth Vader feels?
A: It's a secret that has to wait until the RP reaches a certain point. His apprentice is the one who is addressing this matter, so it'll take some time.

Q: Is this the same apprentice which is going to be in the new Star Wars game?
A: No. This is a completely original character who will actually be working off a completely new concept I've been working on for a year now. This character is nothing like the apprentice as seen in the game in screenshots, movies, and in story. He is someone who will be completely revealed with time.

Q: Can I help do some rewrites for this if I see a problem?
A: No. If you see a problem which is serious with the plot, send me a private message and quote the area you have a problem with. Or, quote it and post it in the Dark Alliance main thread (club). I'll address the matter if I see an actual problem.

Q: Is this a strictly good guy RP?
A: Most certainlly NOT! This is, if anything, a Empire RP! If you want, you can RP as a Rebel or Holy Alliance figure! Hell, if you want to, feel free to RP on BOTH sides! I'm encouraging complete creativity and essential originatiality with this RP! I want this to be as great, if not greater than what the second Dark Council role play was! I'm even letting you have more than one character on either side to RP as-- but do me a favor: don't drop it just because you get bored with it. If you dislike it, give it a good sendoff. I hate lose-end RP's.

Q: Can I suggest ways to make the plot better?
A: You know a way to make this plot better? Of course you can! Send me a private message with your ideas, and I'll see how they are. But be reminded; I may not have very good responce to it if it works out horribly. Remember; I'm a foul tempered person to some extent.

Q: Why did you start this RP?
A: It's because I wanted to do something fun and original for my club. Recently, it's lost some activity and I want to try and rejuvinate it. It's no longer my club, because I gave it to SamusAran when I left PE2k over two years ago... but now that I've returned, I've unofficially claimed a sort of secondary-leadership on my own.

Q: Do you have any of the old RP's saved?
A: Wish I did. all of those were lost in the deletion of PE2k from Proboards. If I'd ever thought about it, I would have saved them and backed them up for future reference to things we did. But, as it is, I didn't and don't have them.

Default Re: Star Wars: The Dark Council (PG-13 RP)

(THE EPIC BEGINNINGS!)

After the organization of the Dark Council, most of the members went their separate ways to plot how they would handle the tasks at hand. Only one or two of the members stayed-- one, the suspected apprentice of the Emperor, was the main one who stayed. He, however, did not stay by choice-- he was told to stay my the Emperor himself.

Later on, he was drawn to the meeting room by the Emperor.

The meeting room was an unusual one. The design was enormous, as a cathedral might be. The ceiling appeared to be at least two hundred feet from the floor, and a foreign alien language was scrawled across the top of it. Everywhere you could see, the words had been written in a bright red color.

In the center of the long, hall-like room was a table at where the meeting had been held. The table was a finely polished rock-- possibly marble --that reflected the dim light in the room given off by a window at the far end of the room.

At the window, the black robed Emperor sat in a chair looking out. He was at an angle where he was looking to the side, only part of his diminished, vile face could be seen. His cold, listless eyes gazed out across the planet they were on. Outside, there was a bleak, rocky, lifeless sight as far as the eye could see. The skies were a dark haze of purple and black. On the horizon, there was no glimpse of a brighter dawn.

The apprentice was a tall, shapely man. He was wrapped entirely in a black robe and a black veil over his face. The only thing that could be described of the apprentice was that he stood at least 6'6" at best and his shoulders were very broad. The apprentice walked slowly to his master, each step as silent as his breathing.

"Heheheh..." The Emperor let his hoarse, low laugh out as the apprentice walked towards him. "You needn't be so quiet, apprentice."

Slightly shocked, the apprentice raised his head and his eyes could be seen widened-- the only thing that could be seen. His two yellow eyes looked surprised. He spoke softly, "You heard--" his voice was rather weak as quietly as he spoke.

The Emperor's chair turned around and his gruesome face could be seen. The years of the dark side eating at him could be easily shown. He was a handsome man at one time in his life, but no more. His face reflected his very soul and personality-- a horrible, pale, frightening being with no goals that would benefit mankind.

"Of course I knew of your presence," the Emperor smiled mildly, "I am your master... approach me."

He did as commanded and continued across to his master. He came within at least six feet of his master and fell to left knee, putting his right arm across his leg, which he let his head fall to. He then raised his head only slightly and spoke, "What is your bidding for me, my master," he asked with great concern?

"As you know," he scowled and the chair turned slightly so he could look out of the window, "this new alliance the Rebels have begun-- this "Holy Alliance" of theirs --is a possible threat to us. The galaxies are becoming more and more resilient towards us, and I cannot-- no, we cannot have this."

The apprentice lifted his head even more so that his eyes could see the Emperor slightly. "Will fear not keep them in line?"

"Fear can only keep them in single file for so long. Our Admirals believe that fear will always keep them in line, but as history has shown, fear can only go so far before it loses its hold."

"But what am I expected to do, my master? How shall I exterminate them?"

The Emperor turned his head and smiled. "You shall not be assisting with the Dark Council to destroy the Rebels-- you instead shall be given a different, yet far more important mission," he finished my letting out his hoarse laughter.

A look of question came over the apprentices eyes. In his mind, he had always thought his master would use him for a purpose which involved the destruction of the Rebel alliance. But now, a certain sense of higher importance flowered over him. Unlike before, he now, more than ever, felt he was possibly going to become as important as Lord Vader and possibly surface into the Empire as a second-hand defender.

"You know of Vader and how he disappeared recently?"

"Yes, master. Why did he--"

The Emperor lifted his right hand and light flicked it, "Why he left is not of any importance. What is of importance is that you locate him." his eyes drew to slits, "I feel that he is hiding things from me. In recent months, he has shown possible intent to ignore my teachings-- the exact teachings I've put upon you --and do things his own way, without so much as consulting me. He may become a nuisance-- nay, perhaps even a burden, despite how much loyalty he's shown in the past."

"But... master--"

"You shall leave here and head out towards Alathrok V, where I suspect he may have headed for." he smiled, "I have full trust in you... Darth Silhouette."

The apprentice lifted his head with widened eyes and lowered his head quickly onto his arm, "Yes, my master." with speed, he moved to his feet and quickly stormed out. His silent entry no more-- he was walking out rather shaken, surprised, and proud. Though his mission seemed unusual, he felt a sense of honor and superiority now that he'd been acknowledged as such by his master.

The weeks, possibly even months ahead of him were to be his greatest moments.

Darth Frostius, Super Star Destroyer Retribution, Bridge, In Orbit of Rhenvar

"Grand Admiral!" the Lutentiant said nervously. Many of the others who had told Grand Admiral Lucifer bad news had been killed. About 99% of them to be exact. You couldn't blame the young officer for being nervous.

"What is it Hawkins?" asked the admiral. His cold eyes piercing gaze turning the young man's legs as wobbly as a astromech droid with a faulty motivater.

"It, it, it's one of our Probe Droids," the short man said stuttering, his teeth were chattering almost as if it was freezing cold "actually, several of them. They were all destroyed by unknown forces."

"Did they sense any life forms?" the Grand Admiral asked, his mercilessness showing through his voice. All of the other members of the bridge crew stopped there work and turned around. They didn't want to miss this.

"Nnnno, sir." The man's stuttering had grown even worse. "They crashed in the planets of the Alathrok system. With most of the crashes happening around the fifth planet of the system." He then said under his breath, "Almost as if they had a critical systems failure."

"What was that Hawkins?!" Lucifer roared. "Are you suggesting that I take poor care of my equipment?!" Many of the bridge oficers closed their eyes. They had been on the Bridge Command long enough to know what was coming.

"Please no sir!" Hawkins cried. He was panicking, afraid, and completely defenseless. Just the way the Grand Admiral wanted him.

As tempted as the Grand Admiral was to force choke Hawkins, he knew that he couldn't reveal that he was really a sith. Only the Emporeor himself knew of this along with a few members of the Dark Council. Instead, Lucifer pulled out his blaster pistol. Aiming it at the frightened man, the Admiral pulled the trigger and blew a hole threw the man's skull. He fell to the ground and didn't move.

"Remove the scum," he said looking at the dead officer "and then set a course for the Alathrok system, but first head for the inner core. We have an errand to run."

Rizann Lefex, Unknown Capitol Ship, heading for the Alathrok System.

Rizann Lefex sat quietly in the dim light of the Sith’s red lightsaber, his green skin shining in the red glow of the blade. He wasn’t sure where he was, but acted as though he did. He was sent to this location to oversee the building of a prototype space fighter, the MG-94 Snub Fighter.

“How long do you intend to goof around before you practice?” He said firmly.
The sith, supposedly the emperor’s secret apprentice, simply looked up. With a flick of his wrist, he sent Rizann’s vibraknife, which sat in its holster across the room, flying toward Lefex’s throat. With ease, Rizann jumped above the knife and kicked it straight back at the sith.

Of course the sith dodged the knife, but by the time that he looked over to where his adversary was, Rizann stood behind him, blaster out of his holster and pointing it straight towards the Sith’s head.

“Don’t try me” Rizann said coolly while putting the blaster back in its holster.
The Sith paused for a moment, before slipping his lightsaber back onto his belt and walking out of the dimly lit room.

Rizann exited the room after waiting a moment and retrieving his vibraknife, and headed toward the landing bay of the capitol ship.
After clearing his I.D. with the guard at the gate, he continued on with an uneasy feeling in the pit of his stomach. There was something going on here, some other objective than simply overseeing construction of a snub fighter.

There were too many questions left unanswered; Why was the sith here? Why bother constructing a fighter aboard a capitol ship? And why were they heading toward the Alathrok system?
He wasn't sure what, but he knew it had something to do with that Sith.

Kamino,Rebel Planet.

It was raining, but no one was suprised, it was always cold rain and dark skys, but someone who didn't care about it, didn't even notice it. Ben, a brutal lost Jedi with black short hair, and a cape which looked like Ben Kenobi's.

Once the Death of Ben Kenobi occured, he went mental, he didn't know if he should destroy the speices of Kamino for making the Stormtroopers, or Darth Vader for betraying the old republic.

Slowly, he ignited his golden lightsaber, making his mind up.

It was quiet aboard the YT-1930 Leia had lent him. Jalek stood solemnly, looking out into the eternal realm of space, while thinking of his mission orders. As one of the most important people in the Rebel Alliance, Jalek was sent to scout the Alathrok system for a new Rebel base. He was told specifically to look at Alathrok II, because of its similarities to Yavin IV.

Suddenly the hologram projector flashed on. "Jalek.... Jalek, are you there? This is Princess Leia."

He could see a little fear in her eyes. "Always was here. What do you want?"

"We have detected a few Imperial probe droids in the area. I want you to exert as much caution as possible when landing on Alathrok II. Try not to leave any trace of your arrival. Remember, this is a stealth mission after all, and I don't want the Empire to know of this. Do you understand?"

"What?"

"Were you even listening to what I was saying?"

"Don't worry about me Princess. I've been through a lot worse, like that whole Jabba thing. If I could get away from Jabba, I can easily do this. Didn't you say I should get the thermal readings of the planet?"

"Of course. That's the whole reason you're going, to see if the planet was inhabitable. You're also supposed to see if there are any inhabitants." Leia was getting kind of annoyed by now.

"I know, I was just kidding. I think you need to take a vacation, maybe get a boyfriend or something...."

"This mission is of the utmost importance, and I trust you to not get distracted. Over and out." With that, the hologram shut off, and Jalek was quiet again. He usually was a quiet guy, be he always like messing with the Princess. Even though he joked around her, he was very serious about the mission. He hated the Emperor with every fiber in his body, and wanted to get back at him in any way possible.

It's an RP, there are no rules.

(OOC: Okay, firstly, if you're going to start posting stuff like this, do me a favor and do the OOC thing, k? K.

Secondly, what "rule of two"? If you're aiming at the idea a person may only have one apprentice, too bad. This rule has been broken before in the Star Wars universe, and if you want I can post some links from Wookiepedia. Also, I don't think it matters on having two apprentices. Vader has been more or less a master of the Force for quite some time.

I think you forgot that this is a FAN RP that can have anything done to it.

And while we DO have FOUR Darth's-- Darth Vader, Vader's Secret Apprentice (yet to be revealed), Darth Frostius (KFT), and Darth Silhouette --it's not like this is a major issue. I mean, does it really matter? As long as we don't exceed any more than five we're fine. Besides, this'll just add to the RP plot. :\

Finally, do me a big favor and POST THESE QUESTIONS in the Dark Council thread, or just PM me with the stuff.)

Rizann stepped quietly into the all but empty docking bay, making sure that the sith was nowhere to be seen. It was almost silent, with the only sounds coming from the occasional MSE-6 mouse droids and an R3 unit working on the snub fighter in the corner. Across the bay was his ship, the Invision Slave, a heavily modified StarViper built to his specifications.

As he walked across the bay, he felt uneasy, noticing 2 things that were very out of place on a capitol ship. The main docking bay, which is normally used for mass fighter storage, was almost completely empty, and his personal ship was already on and prepped for flight.

As he reached his ship, he noticed something moving inside of it. Slowly, he reached for his blaster and released the hatch. Swinging his blaster inside of the ship and pointing it directly at the moving figure.

“Oh!”

It was a PBJ-86 mechanic droid, an older model, but efficient nonetheless.

“What are you doing in here?” Rizann said in his usual stern voice, keeping his blaster level and not moving an inch.

“I am PBJ-984, at your service sir” The droid said in a voice that sounded oddly familiar.

“Answer my question” He said, getting agitated at the machine.

“I was ordered to get your ship ready for flight and to remove all prior hyperspace coordinates from memory”

“You what!?” Rizann exclaimed.

“I was ordered to get your ship ready for flight and to remove all prior---“

“I heard what you said! Who was the officer in command at the time that you were ordered to do so?” Rizann said, fingering the trigger on his pistol.

“It was a direct order from Admiral Zeekins sir” The droid said mechanically.

“Thanks” He said with a smirk on his face. Using his strength, he yanked the droid out of the cockpit and threw it up into the air. When it hit the ground, it exploded in an unusually large ball of flame.

“Time to pay a visit to the Admiral”

The green light emanating from Alathrok II made his face visible on the visor. All Jalek could do was stare at its eminent beauty. He wiped the drool off of his shirt and thought about the mission again. If he was to get caught, since it was a stealth mission, the Rebellion would not come rescue him. It would only be success or failure. Jalek wasn't too nervous, as he had been in many dire situations before, but it wasn't like he was completely calm. He took a short breath before preparing for landing. As he entered the atmosphere, he felt lots of pressure, which binded him to his seat. This was normal, however, and he securely hastened the landing mechanisms and landed okay.

As he stepped off the ship, he grabbed all of he necessary equipment, like his blaster, food, water, weather equipment, and binoculars. He found a clearing and cut a path so he could explore. The area he landed on was a dense forest, much unlike Coruscant. As he journeyed, he could hear a slight buzzing around him. It slightly irritated him, but also kept him on his feet, wary of whatever lied in the depths of the dense green forest that surrounded him. While the temperature was humid, he could feel it getting cooler and cooler, with more of a breeze now. After about two hours of walking, he also noticed the trees changing in size and shape. Suddenly, he saw a clearing up ahead. He ran up, clearing all of the brush in front of him, and saw a lake. It wasn't too big, as he could see the other side of it, but he noticed a large marble statue jutting from the center. It was about 15 meters tall and 5 meters wide with the shape of a cylinder. He thought about swimming out to it, but the lake water was a dark brown color, which made him reconsider. He realized that one of the two suns was setting, and went back. The journey back took much less time because Jalek didn't have to cut down stuff in front him. He could still hear that annoying buzzing, but it was getting louder and louder as he walked. Out of the blue, he saw a large yellow and balck striped wasp, about the size of a golf ball in front of him, with more following.

"Ahhhhhhh.... Bees.... RUUNNNNNNN!"

Jalek splurted as fast he could back to his YT-1930 and ran inside. He checked his body for stings, of which he had 30. As Leia instructed him, he signaled her to report his findings of the planet.

"Leia... Leia are you there?"

"Yes I'm here. Do you think that the planet will be a good place for a new outpost?"

"I don't know. The temperature looks fine to me, and I found a lake. It would be difficult to clear out a lot of forest though."

"Well, sounds good enough to me. Anything else?"

"Nope. Nothing else. I don't really have any other important information I guess. Not a single thing."

"Okay. Over and--"

"Wait." Jalek stopped her.

"I thought you had no other stuff to tell me."

"Well, I do. So actually pay attention this time," Jalek scolded her.

"I was before... but .... aargh... whatever......"

"In the dirty lake, I spotted a fairly large marble statue coming from the center. I don't know if it means there are still inhabitants, or if the statue actually has any meaning, but I'll look into it tomorrow.

"Sounds swell. Report it to me in 24 hours. Over and out."

And with that, the transmission ended. Jalek kept thinking about exploring the area around the statue, but put those thoughts to rest for the night.

Darth Frostius, Super Star Destroyer Retribution, Bridge, In Hyperspace, heading to the Alathrok system.

Grand Admiral Lucifer looked at his new bridge crew. The last one had died in the Deep Core by a cellular disintegration disease that caused them to develop abnormally fast, leaving them old men in a matter of hours.

"Sir," Hawkins said "We shall be arriving in the second planet of the system's orbit in a matter of hours."

"Good," said the Grand Admiral, his lips curling into a smile only the Emporor could admire. "whenever you start to get cocky, remember what happened to my last navigational officer."

Hawkins gulped. He had hear about the horrible deaths of the last Bridge Command. The horible information of how they died had spread like wildfire from one new recruit to the next. "I understand sir," the young, short man said, shivvering "One hundred percent, no doubt about it."

The Admiral sighed. At least this one didn't stutter. "I will now return to my quarters." he said coldly. "Wake me when we are in range of Alathrok II. Any earlier and you shall die." He then walked of to his luxurious quarters in his proud uptight way.

Ben was on the floor now, starting to bleed heavily.

At that moment, Rizaan stepped in.

"Rizaan, help me," Ben cried in a last move shot.

Rizaan didn't know him, but he had questions for the admiral. He turned to the side to face Rizaan, but it was a distraction, Ben grabbed his lightsaber and slashed at Frostius's hand, it fell off.

AAHHH!!!!!!!

Frostius screamed in pain, lying on the floor, not dying, but being hurt.

"So Admiral, I have a few questions to be awnsered,"

At that moment, Ben ran out of the room past Rizaan, escaping.
(OOC: WHAT THE HELL, DUDE?

You just... you just did planet skipping, unless I'm mistaken. I would've been able to understand if you stole away in the StarViper, but the fact is you did not so much as even say you did that! Not to mention I think you just easily broke every single rule there is to know about GOD MODING.

You can't just say you cut off somebody's hand unless you give them fair chance as to avoid or allow it. GOD MODING 101, last I checked, does not allow such behavior. Now, I realize some RP's allow what you just did, but every RP I've ever organized, participated in, or viewed that had a decent plot DID NOT.

Another thing: ...wut? I didn't understand half of that post. It was like watching a single man try and RP. You seemed rather skippy headed and weird on how you did that. Nothing you said or did blended in with anything that's taken place so far.

I've told everyone to ignore that post (which I see they have) and not to so much as acknowledge the existence of said post. I don't want to see anymore posts like this. Just... please do me a favor and make me NOT regret allowing this to be a public RP? Please? If you WANT that post to be acknowledged, go back and redo it.

If you want to continue this, send me a PM or post in the Dark Council Club thread.)

(OOC: (Whatever that means) You still did't explain how you got on the Viper, which is my personal one man ship. Or how the battle started for that matter.)
