Default Natures

I was thinking it would be interesting to implement Natures to a small extent into URPG. This would add a small verity to the stats of each Pokemon.

Hardy
Lonely Attack + Defense -
Brave Attack + Speed -
Adamant Attack + Special Attack -
Naughty Attack + Special Defense -
Docile
Bold Defense + Attack -
Relaxed Defense + Speed -
Impish Defense + Special Defense -
Lax Defense + Special Attack -
Serious
Timid Speed + Attack -
Hasty Speed + Defense -
Jolly Speed +Special Attack -
Naive Speed + Special Defense -
Bashful
Modest Special Attack + Attack -
Mild Special Attack + Defense -
Quiet Special Attack + Speed -
Rash Special Attack + Special Defense -
Quirky
Calm Special Defense + Attack -
Gentle Special Defense + Defense -
Sassy Special Defense + Speed -
Careful Special Defense + Special Attack -

For Example: You choose to have Budew as your Pokemon. You get to choose her nature. You choose to give her a pumped up Special Attack. since her physical move poll will be sub par.

Thus you would say this to the ref. Budew (F) Modest

The ref would then use these stats for Budew: HP 284 Attack 143 Defense 169 Spec. Attack 218 Speed 209.

I think it would be nice to see a bit of verity in the Pokemon.

Alternatives: Rolling for Natures: A ref could roll for natures or the Mat approver/Grader. I would say starters only could have there natures chose under this alternative rule.

I personally think that it'd be a big pain for the ref. :|

No chance. I doubt natures will get accepted. It's just too much work. :/ Max stats are good enough.

While the idea itself is excellent, it's just too complicated for Refs, IMO. I think they'd find it harder. >_<

No. Natures would just make the URPG more complex than it is.

Not by much at all.

It is a simple computation.

I have a program that has on it. Does the damage calculation and have positive/negative natures as a 1 click option. Thus, it should be able to be added to the URPG calculator.

All it adds is two columns to each Pokemon's Stats.

Budew

Negative
Attack 143
Defense 152
Spec. Attack 179
Spec. Defense 215
Speed 188

Neutral
Attack 159
Defense 169
Spec. Attack 199
Sec. Defense 239
Speed 209

Positive
Attack 174
Defense 185
Spec. Attack 218
Sec. Defense 262
Speed 229

We Don't use Positive Max we use Neutral Max

I ignored HP as it doesn't change

TBH, I think this would be hard to ref in every battle.

I don't see that working at all, it needs more thought, and the stats change drasticly. Sorry, but this won't work.

Now that is nuts. These are the official stats posted. lol, I know it would be a pain to ref at first till things got automated into a calculator. However, later on this could add more verity into Pokemon. Nonetheless, this is maybe something that should not be introduced till a calc can be made with an auto nature function. If that is the case fine by me. lol

Well, it would be cool, but it would be a pain in the arse to ref.

Just wait until I finish my Reffing program, I'll add in a dropdown menu for natures so that refs won't have to worry. Then we can re-propose this.

I severly doubt someone would want to make a calc with nature implications and if someone managed it, it would most likely come out with the wrong damage.

As its been said like 10 times already, it would be a pain for refs.

Actually, thats why you make a program, as opposed to a calc. Since the formula will always stay the same, and coding is a lot easier and more flexible than Excel.

I will just wait for Azure Thanks for trying that is all that counts.

It just looks like this is the case right now. Nice idea, pain to ref without a good calculator. Thus, an idea that is too far ahead of its time. A shame but glad I brought it up.

Truthfully, I was just getting tired of. Oh I can 1HKO-2HKO this as I know his stats are yada yada yada. This is a simpler way to spice things up than EV's or whatever. Plus, with a good calculator it is less of a pain to do.

Either way too far ahead of its time. Thus, I will wait.
