Pikachu Survivor Game Reservations
As the Pikachu Survivor Game has been around for six crazy rounds, each and every time, sign ups were swarmed extremely fast, and unfortunately, lots of people who wanted to be in the action were left to sit out. Many have asked for reservations, and Iím willing to take them, butÖ I need something in return. To get a reservation into PSG Round 7, you need to submit a PSG banner and avatar to the game. Submitting a banner and avatar (Must be good, and follow the requirements below) will guarantee you a spot. If youíd rather not do it and try your luck with being one of the first 25 sign ups, thatís fine, but just know that in the past, those disappear like pizza slices at a college dorm.
HOW TO MAKE A PSG BANNER AND AVATAR FOR DONATION RESERVATIONS
First off, plan on using an advanced graphic art program like Photoshop or something similar. I donít trust Paint very much, and unless you can make an absolutely fantastic background with it, I wouldnít use it. Every PSG banner Iíve ever made has required a truckload of layers, which MS Paint doesnít even allow.
First off, make a new document with dimensions of 450x125. This is the standard size for all PSG banners. After that, make a decent abstract background with some color and all that jazz. Then, you need to add a Pikachu picture, of course. Make sure the resolution is good (donít enlarge it if its too small), and make sure the picture is decent (there are a ton of crappy Pikachu images out there, be on the lookout for good ones). After that, add in a quote that someone might say or think after being turned into a Pikachu. Make sure its funny, and doesnít contain anything someone might find offensive. That, and make sure its clearly readable.
Adding the PSG Watermark
In the lower right-hand corner of every PSG banner is a PSG watermark. To add it, simply download this watermark image, and place it into your PSG Banner.
Once thatís in, all thatís left is to draw a single pixel black border. The end result should look something like this, which is a completed PSG banner from last seasonís game:
Making the 100x100 avatar is a similar deal. Make a nice background, and put in a Pikachu picture, and then finishing it off with a single pixel black border. Doesnít need to be anything extremely special, but having it as a similar design and color scheme to the banner would be a good idea.
Hereís a completed example:
Last Minute Stuff
If I think your banner and avatar are good enough, Iíll give you a reservation into Round 7. Also, its okay if someone else makes the banner and avatar for you, as long as you do it with their permission. You can also make banners and avatars to give someone else a reservation if you're a good graphic artist, but the friend you want to give a reservation may not be as good.
And yes, I have the right to reject banners if I feel theyíre really not that well done. Keep in mind someone else could be wearing it in game. If you can look at your banner and feel confident that anyone in game could wear it and feel comfortable about it, then chances are its good to go.
Thatís pretty much it. Should be pretty easy without too much trouble.
