Don't have Apprentice? First, you should know what it's all about. Apprentice is a program created Pojo that allows you to play almost any TCG (Trading Card Game) against other players via the internet. Sound like something you want to try? Just follow this simple manual (written by me, of course) and you'll be ready to play!

Getting Started
First, you must download and install Apprentice. Just click the Download Apprentice link above and download it. Afterward, just simply go through the installation process and modify it any way you want. I recommend making a Desktop Shortcut.
Now that you have Apprentice downloaded, you can start it up by double-clicking the icon. To start out, you need a deck. Apprentice comes with Magic TG cards and if you want to play Pokemon, you'll have to do the following:
Quote:
1) Unzip the patch.
2) Copy and past the contents in your Appr document and overwrite any Magic TG files it asks you to overwrite.
3) You're done.

Playing
Now, to build a deck, click File > Deck Editor and build and save a deck. After that, you can click File > New Game, load a deck, select Connect via the Internet, and then Ok. You'll need your opponent's IP address to connect (NEVER post your IP address) and or click Waiting for Call and give your opponent your IP address. Either way, the Waiter clicks OK first and then the Connecter. You're now connected and ready to begin your game!
Codes
Ctrl-D = Draw
Ctrl-F = Flip a Coin
Ctrl-S = Shuffle Library (Deck)
Other Stuff
You can view discard piles and top cards and other things by click View. Show allows you to show opponent your cards. Communications has shortcuts to common sayings in a game. Options allows you to change your name and other things. I've never used anything in References and Help is pretty much self-explanitory.
Changing Name
Click on Options > Change Name and enter your desired name in the blank and click OK.
Changing Background
First, you have to find a background on Pojo and then save it to a document. Now, click Options > Prefences and make sure Backgrounds is selected. Click change and selected the document you saved it on in the drop down box. Click Open and make sure Tile is unselected. Then, press ok.
End
You can do even more by exploring. These are just the basics that you should know. If you have any questions or need help with Apprentice, fell free to PM me or AIM me.
Enjoy playing Apprentice!
