Colosseum graphics suck
Come on now, Nintendo. Your biggest franchise and the graphics are barely above N64 level. Give me more lovely cell-shading like Windwaker.
Anyone else think the graphics suck?

I'd be grateful if Nintendo would take some time with it. Just look at it, its still pixelated and full of POLYGONS! We need more cell shading >.<

The graphics on Colosseum are alright, but not the best it can be. It would be kind of hard to make all of the Pokemon we have now to be all top quality graphics. That would take a real long time and effort to make them really cool looking. I think Nintendo wanted to make the game come out close to when Ruby and Sapphire did. Waiting too long for a game comes out gets a lot of people mad and makes them stop playing.... just like Halo 2.

And thats why everyone waited so long for Wind Waker... Took them some years to make the next Zelda Game, its friggin awesome, and they took their time with it. Nintendo coulda done the same with Colosseum. Do you see any less fans of Zelda just because Nintendo took a long time with it? No. Despite all the controversy of the new graphics, Nintendo pulled through, not only in graphics, but in everything else. They need to stick to quality instead of trying to roll in some quick dough. And they really need to use some new ingenuity and ideas in Colosseum, because they add a little extra but recycle the old game with just a slight touch up. This isn't the first time this has happened. Nintendo makes a big hype about a game, and everyone buys it, many dissappointed because Nintendo decided to get it out quickly ._. Seriously, they need to quit making us spend so much money so we can get all the monsters the "real way". And they depend on Gamecube owners to own GBA, and vice versa. I do have a GBA and Cube, but I'm not about to go buy another damn game just so I can get some more monsters. Hi, Gameshark, Pro Action Replay.
I may have gone a little farther than the Pokemon game there, but I decided I'd point out more of Nintendo's flaws.

Cell shading may be more complex and all to make the game look like they made more effort, but keep in mind that some people (like me) don't LIKE cell shading =/
I do agree with you that they could've done a bit of improvement =)

I don't think Nintendo would want Colosseum to come out after the revised Red and Blue come out. I think Nintendo is planning something with releasing Colosseum first and then the revised Red and Blue. And Pokemon is mainly focused on kids, I don't think a lot of kids care if they have good graphics or not. All they know is that its a Pokemon game coming out for Gamecube... so its got to be good.

I agree with Shael, well, mostly anyways. Its not that i hate the idea of cell shading, since they look like cartoons, but then again, i dont like playing cell shading games. I've only played one or two of the Zelda games, and personally, i didnt even think about getting Wind Waker; i think 3D graphics are twice as good as cartoon style. Plus, you must remember; 386 Pokemon, hundreds of AI opponents, each with a diff Team, Story mode, Cups, etc. Colloseum was a lot harder to make in its present state than Zelda: WW was. I know Nintendo could have spent a little extra time smoothing out the graphics, but give them a break; a Team of 10-20 people doing all of that? How fast a game gets completed has nothing to do with rushing or whatever; it depends on how many people help to make the game.

Nobody seems to get the fact that consoles have limited memory qauntity, if you wanted the WHOLE pokémon colosseum, then it had to be with average graphics, but more options...and it's not about the time v_v

You are viewing the graphics via lossy JPEGs or PNGs whose source files were JPEGs rather than PNGs whose source were uncompressed bitmaps. I can't fathom how you can mar the graphics with words when you haven't seen the game perform on a HDTV. It is like seeing a video made for HDTV on analog TV and saying that HDTV's quality is absurd.
A year or two ago I showed a person who said that the XBox's graphics quality is superior to the GCN a screenshot of GCN's graphics as a PNG on his PC's monitor. After that, he said that the GCN's graphics were superior.
Then again you could have imported the japanese version (Nintendo should have a global release date...) and played it on an imported GCN connected to a good quality HDTV. In that case nothing will ever satisfy you as how real can pokemon get without genetically engineering them in a lab?

That statement is sadly true. ;[
And I seriously don't think the GC has that little memory to make them a little less pixelated. Even so, they got enough shiz out, not like they couldn't make an Expansion Pack for the Gamecube. I do believe PS2 got it or is getting their upgrade soon, or so I've heard. Anyone want to prove me right or wrong?

for 386 3D pokemon I think it's a good job. As far as I am concerned It's not a James Bond game or anything so the graphics dont have to look that awesome. For me collesium is suppose to give me some pokemon fun for the few months while I am waiting for FR/LG.
