plot

Start:a mysterious man try's to steel the proffesors bag the professor throws it to you you choose the pokemon and then battle the man

before badge 1:catch some pokemon and then travel to beat first gym

after badge 1:your male rival apppears and battles you

before badge 2:your female/male riavl (depending on what gender you choose)wants to battle

After badge 2:Receive eevee egg

Not to burst your creativity, but the three starting elements are not equal. In the end, Psychic will be powerless against the Dark starter.
If you studied the original starting types, Water, Fire and Grass, they each were "super effective" to one and "not very effective" to the other, making each decision equal. Givin the other 13 types, the only other 3 types that share a similar relationship to the original are Flying, Rock and Fighting.
Flying -> Fighting -> Rock -> Flying.

I'm not sure if this will change your mind, but this is the only logical thing to happen, IMO.

Yeah, true, but Grass is already used in the Water and Fire part, so the only three different types are the ones I mentioned above.
