Pokemon Island: Lockdown, Original: Fic (Adventure)

Overview

Before I begin telling you about the fan fiction and actually begin writing it, I just want to mention that this is based off of my very first successfull RP: none of mine I've ever created has been better and more loved by others to date, although it was evnetually closed by my request for a few reasons, I still loved it, and it's what forever got me so interested in RPing, and so I dedicate this to all of the cast of the original RP, including my good friend Cipher Lord, now inactive Mistiry, and several others who helped me make Pokemon Island more active than the current DCC! *gasp* This is also for members of the current Pokemon Island cast to get an idea of what it was like when Pokemon Island first came into being.

As well as being for all people to enjoy (And unfortunately see how noobish I was BACK THEN, let alone now .) There will be some fuzzy moment,s and some not so fuzzy moments in the fic depicted originally in the RP, I've done this because I want to retell the story in my own ability of what got me into the RPing craze. I hope you enjoy my an fiction and support it. ^^

However, I will try and correct my character and make him more realistic, since I was a newbie at the time, and didn't quite understand PE2K the way I do now.

The Main cast

Swirls
Kecleon

Swirls along with his brother Swirly were two of the many main characters in the story who truly had an edge and effect on the stroyline, Swirls is a bit of slob, yet he is always prepared in a situation. He does however carry too much things with him, sometimes slwoing down the group, other times hassling the group to get their butts moving, not that he has a say in such things. He is natrually dazed, and often confused, but is a good fellow, a bit annoying though.

Swirly

Blue Coloration, white zig zag.
Swirly is the more straighter and intelligent of the two borthers. Whereas Swirls always maintains a seemingly drunken state, Swirly is always focusing on logic over over headstrong, unlike Swirls. He is organized, but like Swirls, his intelligence and seemingly incapability of enjoying himself, he usually never looks on the bright side, Swirly oftne msites his brother whenever he blurts crazy things out to strangers, which often results in Swirls being made a fool of. Nonetheless, he is not very calm, and often worrys himself.

Robert
Swampert
Normal Swampert
Robert is the more stern member of the group, often heading them forward sometimes acting as the de facto leader, although as the group travels through Pokemon Island and beyond, he has remained a powerhouse in the gropu, able to fight fast and hard, often finding it neccesary to attack suspicious strangers, he is compassionate to his friends, and an interesting fellow, but has a mean bark toward strangers, as he is not very friendly at times, he remains a vital member of the group.

Sam is a sensitive young Eevee, separated from her parents for reasons unknownst, Sam was wandering the Safari Zone of the Island until she had found a home with the rest of the main cast and became a permanent member of it. Sam was sensitive, and sad because wheneer she tried to live anywhere, she was forced out by people who thought of here as dangerous because of her odd colors. But in general, she maintains a positive attitude and is a happy Eevee who has made the best of her life, but longs to one day live among others as a normal Eevee.

Flame

Red Eevee with blue eyes
Flame is burning with personality! Like Sam, Flame found himself without a home, wandering the safari zone constantly begging to be taken with them, but always being rejected, he is a man of substance, and does not judge, but is not very generous or protecting to all but the very closest to his heart, Flame is easily angered, and will not stand for being angered, and when so, will either take it out and fight like there's no tomorrow, or sit it out and collect himself, usually the latter. But he is a fearsome Pokemon, and is a dangerous one as well.

Bubbasaur (Bub for short)
Bulbasaur
Bulb light green, spots blueish green.
Bub is a bit o a mellow Pokemon, often upset and often unconfident in herself, she is usually not very eager to "jump in" a situation, and usually let's others handle things. Though she often cries when bad things happen, much to Swirls annoyance. Sometimes Bub can act a bit unlike herself, if anyone knows what "herself" is to Bub, but nonetheless, she can make to a be a formidable opponent, and when backed into a corner, she will fight back to keep herself safe, and her friends as well. She shows signs of becoming more powerful.

Joe
Gastly
Doesn't smile, unless in battle
A freelander and roamer of the Village outskirts, who once lived comfotrably alone as a thief and freeloader, he befriended Sam, Bubbasaur, and the rest of the gang and joined their gropu as a new member, Joe fights fiercely, and only smiles inside of a fight, and is really the only person who likes to fight and feel the sheer glory of killing his enemy, nonetheless he is shady, but a kind fellow to kind people, he is a terrible enemy to deal with, but a trustworthy and incredible friend to be allied with.

More characters will be introduced through time, and some will be killed through time, but it is all the same for everyone, power players on Pokemon Island.

Prolouge

In the world today, there is a dominant race among all other races, humans, who dominate Pokemon and sit at the top of theowlrd, on top of Pokemon so they believe, humans are called invasive of the true rulers of the world, Pokemon, yet many Pokemon have came to befriend Human Life and come to think of them as partners, friends, and comrads, and same way many humans fell for Pokemon, but some humans have dark goals and dark persons, cruelly using and treating Pokemon like dirt is not what is approved by anyone, but people and Pokemon fight back. And that is what knits the two races so closely together, balance allowing them to live in a world together. Pokemon and humans side by side is said to be one of the dominant forces of the world, friendship and love which conquers all, in other words, positivity. That is what is said to make the bind between two races so powerful.

However, humans do not know nearly as much about this world as the Pokemon do, and they're knowledge is what some humans treasure. Nonetheless, Pokemon live in every corner of the world, anywhere, humans confining themselves into comftorable places, there are many places in the world a human being has never set foot, although a large island is usually not the case, one island in the world is an exception, a mysterious force is what isolates it from humans and pretty much the whole rest of the world, this mysterious force is a special breed of balance, the kind that channels and flows all over the world, keeping it at peace, but over anywhere in the world, humans breack balance. Here, is where balance is most concentrated, as well as the beings that keep balance a staple part of life. That is what makes Pokemon Island and the surrounding area so pure and untainted. Pokemon live here in harmony, and without their human majors, have themselves advanced, taking the place of humans in their own little world. Pokemon Island is where the most intelligent Pokemon of the world reside, any Pokemon.

However, nowhere is a perfect sanctuary, a haven for anything to just settle down and live forever without conflict. Wild Pokemon are still running around this island, but something disturbing, something more has struck here. Pokemon that have strange coloration, often becoming green ,there eyes filled with hatred. Large and small Pokemon Villages are keeping them at bay, but as well numbers fall, their numbers increase, it is called a disease, a plauge on the perfect sanctuary of Pokemon Island. People say it was never a sanctuary at all, as rabid Pokemon were never in their zeros, but just recently has it escalated to immense amounts of diseased Pokemon ravaging and hunting, anywhere outside of a village is unsafe, and yet, they grow stronger, it is an enigma to most Pokemon, and remains so. It is said that any open wound of wound touched or infliced by a rabid Pokemon, the victim will enventually join the infected, persuading village to kill their wounded. It is treason, but this is what has come of the island, and several Pokemon have became involved in this deadly affair with destiny, but not just like is on their side, light guides them in their fight for freedom.

Chapter 1: Gathering the collection

The Jungle of the Vast Pokemon Island streched very far across the Island, it was a portion, however, as many jungles existed on Pokemon Island. The Village of Root was nearby, and this was the southernmost part of the Island, northward were two paths, one to the Rock Village,a huge stronghold where the people are old but friendly, and tough not to mention, the other way was a more newer vilage, the Branch Village, it was a masterpiece, many house suspended on poles to protect against floods which occured constantly, the middle of it was Root, a large yet peaceful Village that was powerful as well, the entire southern tip of the island was allied with eachother, with ash Village literally on Mt. Smog which was in the center of this trade route got it's name a from a smoggy top of the mountain, it covered the peak of the mountain, and a huge dragon was said to have guarded the peak.

Today, two enthusiatic fellows were playing in the jungle, well rather hunting, The virus that caused rabidness in Pokemon, given the virus was a Pokemon itself, the two Pokemon, Swirls the Kecleon, and Swirly the Kecleon, two twin brothers but with opposite colorations, they were closely knit, but often bickered with eachother, and kept a distance between aggrivated people who protected their ears to stop the flow of incoherent babbling between the two, Swirls wa sholding an authentic laser gun, which unknownst to him, was bee bee gun. Swirly had tried explaining to Swirls it was fake, and hewas ripped off, but as usuay did not listen and really thought he could go hunting the Virususu, the causer of rabidness in Pokemon that attacked other Pokemon, Swirls was enthusiastic to kill them. He claims many strange things Swily will usually just shrug off.

"Tell me again WHY exactly I'm here with you in this damp dirty jungle?" Swirly impatiently demanded from Swirls.

"Because, I want these danged "diseased" things off this my island? Got it!?"

Swirly was only annoyed at Swirls again, because he thought Swirls did all of the most unneceesary things a Kecleon could do in their life in only 15 minutes by Swirls, while Swirly was the one who didn't exactly take t taking risks, especially one as big as this. Though they weren't very small anymore, and their parents had moved on, and they were old enough to live on their own, Swilry thought less of Swirls, and often had to keep him from annoying people anymore than he does himself.

"Since when did this isand become yours?" Swirly questioned with sarcastic disbelief.

"It's my birthright!" Swirls answered with enthusiamsm. The truly sad part about all of this is that Swirls never really realized Swirly was ever being sarcastic unless he told SWirls, but did not. Ever.

Swirls and Swirly were in the safest part of the Jungle, but certainly was not safe. It was the Safari Zone, a sun shine showered place, usually shining by the sun reflecting off the morning dew, there were a few streams here, but the only true large waterway was the Waterfall between Branch Village and Root Village, pillars rising from it's ground, it extended into platforms which had buildings andf homes, add at least 3 dozen of them, all varied sizes, and you have the ancient ruins of Waterfall Village. Some time ago, it was a powerful village with a grip on all of the souther tip, two rebellion groups Root Village and Branch Village joined together to end the grimace rule of Waterfall, destroying much of it and leaving what is left of it today. It's leader died, and so did many of it's people, but descendants of the ancestor sof the time of it's rule still inhabit the ruins today. That is why Waterfall is usually stayed away from, people who cross the cliff must use the bridge near the end of it or cross and navigate Waterfall Ruins. Not many people have come to do that, and most people have not planned for it.

Meanwhile, Swirly and Swirls were heading back to the village, Swirly having it with this "joyride", insisting Swirls cease and head back, Swirls had yet to fid his fune today, so he decided to go back to Root and annoy his friend Robert the Swampert, who was not too tolerant of Swirls himself, was more of a friend of Swirly then Swirls, but the two had no bad blood, so they might as well be good friends, and so they are. Swirls and Swirly had returned to the village and had began walking through the streets, walking up to the northern edge of town, where the foot of the volcano was, and walked up the stairs to Robert's house, ironic location for a Water Pokemon, but was still half Ground. As expected, sWirls unneccesarily pounded on the door, screaming "ROBERT!". It was annoying the heck out of Swirls fter the first threee seconds, Robert finally opened the door, and Swirls ran in, getting comftorable on the sofa.

"Hey Robert, nice you place you got here!" Swirls said as he lapped down, his hands on the bacl of his head, sitting comftorably, he saw a few ideos on the floor and the TV on, he looked at Robert.

"Watcha doing!?"

But before Robert had a chance to wag his head in a no gesture and tell SWirls to shut up and get out, Swirly walked next to Rober,t Swirls immediately got up and left out the door, grabbing and dragging along Swirly, Robert closed the door with a rather annoyed look, Swirly looked at Swirls with a tired up and thrown around look on his face, since he was forced around by his younger yet stranger brother Swirls, Swirls then got a look of intriuge on his face, like he had something up his sleeve to annoy everyone around him even more, this was pretty much the normal day for Swirly. Swirls then finally let it out.

"Let's go back into the Safari!"

True the Safari has not seen any rabid attacks yet, there was no reason one would be coming any time soon, but Swirly just couldn't control Swirls, and after thinking to himself, he had relaized Swirls ran off amd quickly caught up ,the two walking through the forest, Swirls and Swirly walked through the trees and shrubs, some other undergrowth, Swirls startled a few POkemon as he went along. THen, he saw a Pikachu, in the tree, it appeared to be a girl, and it was very laid back at the moment, comftorable and eating a Pecvha Berry, she was oblivious to both of their prescenses. Swirls looked up at the Pokemon eating, Swirly looking at Swirls looking at the Pikachu eating, Swirls just continued looking, with his annoying stare. She opd her eyes to see the two down there. She thre her eaten Pecha Berry on the ground, what was left was the root of it, and yelled quite loudly.

"This place is SO boring!"

After she was done, she had a "I don't care" look, she did not care if the whole world heard her, her attention turned to the two Kecleon standing in front of her, and a smile entered her mouth, and her eyes looked like slits, she was thinking. "Maybe I can annoy them!". She then was much more happy, and looked at the two of them with a face ready to burst with laughter, she was giggling a bit. She was ready to make a fool out of them, but before they could begin, sWirls just began talking, and in his most possible annoying tone of voice he could muster.

"Watcha eating!?"

It echoed for a second, then ceased, and the Pikachu named Mist looked rather annoyed, that she had been smited before she could even begin, so she decided to have some fun and make the both look like idiots.

"Nothin'" She managed to shrug out, then she turned her eyes to SWirly, who looked surpised right after, and Mist regained an evil smile on her face, and was almost slipping when she began talking in a VERY annoying tone of voice.

"Where ya going? Eh? Two of you? Yucky! Double the ugliness!"

Swirly shut down at that moment, and with a blank face, simply stepped back behind Swirly with disqust, and turned the other way. Nobody had noticed that the bushes near the clearing where they were babbling on all about was moving, being brushed around by something moving through the undergrowth, streacks of blue fur as it walked, it's four paws lighlty padding the ground, making little snaps with fallen rotting leaves cracking as it moved, nobody had seemed to notice until the bushes right next to them began rumbling, and an Eevee with a shy but inviting face walked out, it's eyes were green, and it looked happy, and it was happy because it had found people, but Mist the Pikachu and Swirls were still at it.

"Hello!" The Eevee said witha happy attitude, but nobody had seemed to notice other than Swirly, who was not really listening to anyone, but heard another voice from the little Eevee. After Swirls was done staring, he looked at Mist and the little Eevee, still a blank face, but it was directed to Mist, not Sam the little Eevee. But even though that was true, the young Eevee seemed a little discouraged. Then SWirly began talking again, and his next words could not annoy Swirly anymore. He looked at Swirly again.

"Swirly, why exactly did I bring my laser into the Safari?" Swirly couldn't tell if Swirls was doing this just to annoy him or if he really was this stupid, and Swirly didn't have a good idea of either of them, maybe Swirls was just an annoying person.

"You brought your bee bee gun here to try and kill Virususu." Swirly said, annoyed, and seeming a little tired from today, Mist appeared to have grabbed another Pecha Berry and began eating. Swirls did the same thing, but then just as Swirly was calming down, again he had to aggrivate Swirly's nerves. Swirls still had an irrated look, now directed to sWirly, and looked forward again.

"Of course! you ever see those little buggers around? I'm in game business here! They've been ruining my Island since they set foot here!" Swirly's face then went really pale, and he got a mad look at Swirls, as this has happened before, Swirly would have to correct Swirls yet again for being an idiot.

"Darn it Swirls! This is not YOUR island!" And to add to that, Swirly slapped Swirls sharply against the back of his head, making Swirls screech an ow, and rub the back of his head, and then Swirly turned his attention to the little Eevee, and began asking it questions. Further away, but stil closeby, another movement in the undergrowth started, streacks of red fur flashing across the green colored plants and brown rotten leaves and dead plants, he navigated to find anyone else here, he was not very liked, and was looking around for somebody.

"Hmm, I wonder if anyone else is here." He said to himself. He continued to look around, meanwhile Swirly backed down to Sam and started asking questions about the lone Eevee, he appeared concerned, and knew it was not dangerous, he looked with intriuge.

"I've heard about a Blue Eevee that wasn't accepted among others, I saw a picture, but it was black and white, I never really believed them, are you that Eevee?" Swirly asked with curiosity, Sam's face turned a little gloom,y her ears flopping down a bit, her smile changing to a weak grin, she looked at Swirly, a little sad, but still maitaining hersrlf, she turned to Swirly.

"Yes, and I don't have a friend either." The young Eevee was not liked by the other shunned, she was forced to wander the Safari, big as it was, there were no friendly souls to help her out in the time of need, she would often become sad, despite her cheerful disposition, the other thing she hated was when people had to point it out to her. At the same time, the face of a Red Eevee popped out of the brush and looked around at the Pokemon in sight, overhearing the conversation, he burst in and immediately joined it, sitting next to the Eevee.

"I don't have a home either, and I'm looking for a friend." He had a bit of an innocent face, and didn't seem to bright, but seemed like a nice fellow. Swirls overheard the conversation, spit out his Pecha Berry, and angrily looked at Swirly with anger in his eyes.

"You can stay with us if you want." SWirly's words seemed clear, and Swirls immediatelt turned red at Swirly, and was ready to burst, as he often did, he turned to Swirly, and began talking in an angry tone.

"Darn it Swirly! I'm the man of our house, you're simply the boy of it! I decide who stays or not, let me do the honors you jerk! You are free to stay with us you two." Swirls got his way, and Swirly seemed rather annoyed over SWirls yelling over such little thing,s he turned away and continued to mind himself, both Sam and Flame seemed less gloomy, but Flame still seemed sad,

"I don't have any friends, I'll never have on either..." Flame seemed rather negative, but Swirls quickly acted up in response to this, and happily told it to him.

"You can stay with us! It'll be like a sleepover, only it'll be forever! We'll have a blast!" Swirls stuck his tounge at Swirly, who tried to grab it, but missed, and Swirls was very satisfied with himself, the Pikachu having left, Swirls then looked at the two Eevees, their face shining with happiness, they apparently never experienced something like this before. Sam seemed the most joyful, Flame looking more content, but still happy, Sam cried out.

"Really? You mean it!? Thank you so much!" Flame wagged his head in a happy gesture, understanding, Swirls then began walking, signaling with his hand, urging that the two come along, Swirly then began to follow, keeping behind, knowing it was not perfectly safe, they realized that the sun was beginning to come down, but Swirls would probably stay up all night, playing around with his new roommates. SWirls was also very happy, Swirly still keeping a good look on his face, they headed toward the Village.

Chapter 2: Nightmares and Dreams!

The sun was beginning to sink into the ocean's view, as it was submerged, purple covered the sky with orange and red, with the group of Pokemon, now a new family of Pokemon, were walking through the Safari. As they walked, the trees began to reduce in number, soon just islands of plant growth against the loose but coarse ground, Sam and Flame seemed to be rather content with their new home, even if they didn't know what it was like, Sam seemed just to be happy that somebody had excepted her for her, Flame for the same reason as Sam, Sam, as Swirls and Swirly walked as brothers, Sam and Flame were unknowingly close to each other, Sam looked to see the Red Eevee, and acknowledge him for the first time, and looked happy, that she might have a friend with her, they seemed similar enough, Sam began to talk.

"Hi! You're a Red Eevee aren't you?" Sam asked with happiness in her voice. Flame looked a little confused, as that was as obvious as the back side of a barn, he looked like he was ready to turn away, he thought she was just making small talk, but talking as if he didn't know that, he answered.

"Yes I am." Flame replied to her without much emotion, the two seemed tired, though, and Sam maintained a positive attitude, but she seemed rather tired, tired than everyone else in the group. Somewhere nearby in the Safari, near the edge, a Bulbasaur was wandering the undergrowth, she had a light green bulb and blue green spots unlike a Bulbasaur but similar to an Ivysaur's, she looked at the group with her eyes, she couldn't distinguish what was walking, but saw smudges of red and blue in the group and thought that they were a Charmander and Squirtle, and with intruige, since she was homeless, she looked at them with interest, and then began trailing them ,running as fast as her legs could carry her. After Flame had answered Sam, she still seemed hopeful, and answered.

"Cool! I've never met someone like me, it's finally nice to meet someone." The two Eevee seemed to be smiling and well, when Sam fell limp on the ground, almost falling asleep, but got herself up, and seemed to be getting more and more sleepy as the sun went down and down and down. She looked at Flame who had stopped for her immediately, and Swirls and Swirly, who had stopped a moment after, she mumbled something.

"Oh! I'm sorry. I haven't got much sleep lately. Usually when I try to get to sleep I get attacked." Her forgiving voice made all three boys have suprised faces, Flame having the most wide eyes at the moment, he could obviously relate. Meanwhile, the Bulbasaur who was trailing came closer, still keeping her theory that they were simply a few Charmander and Squirtle, she was still coming. She was excited because she had never had a friend before, she was young. Maybe now was Bub's chance, Bubbsaur's chance. Swirls then looked at the two of them, and keeping a smile, in his normal voice, exclaimed.

"Well I don't know what we're doing out here, let's get back to my house and stay up all night!" Sam seemed like she'd rather just fell asleep comfortably, same as Flame, and they were rushed a bit, Swirls speeding up, everyone trieing to keep up. The Bulbasaur was close now, just a couple of meters behind, she yelled to get their attention, she looked closely at them.

"Wait up!" Bubbasaur ran up to the Kecleon with inviting eyes and a happy tone. "I'm Bubbasaur." She was surprised to see the Pokemon she thought were Charmander and Squirtle were not, and instead a Red and Blue Eevee, and those kinds of Kecleon as well, she had expected something else, but was nonetheless not completely out of hope, she turned to them.

"Um...hi." Her voice seemed more shy, she had obviously never seen a non shiny different colored Pokemon before, she seemed more nervous, especially looking at the Eevee, given Kecleon can change colors. Sam hadn't really noticed the tone in her voice changing ,and with a happy disposition, she talked back.

"Hi! Want to be friends?" She said hello first with a loud happy tone, her question in a more serious, but still happy tone, Flame did not notice nearly as much, as was still keeping an eye on Sam, he attempted to act like a big man now, and began talking to Sam.

"Sam, if anybody attacks us, I will protect you, I swear." His voice seemed more stuck up and nervous then his normal voice, he was probably just trying to impress Sam, as since they met, he kept his eyes on her, Flame was excited about his first night in a house since so long ago. Flame was as happy as her right now. Bubbasaur then looked at Sam, she was happy, she was ignoring their odd coloration and replied.

"Sure!" Even if they were odd, she did not car,e she wanted a friend, and she mustn't forget she wasn't so perfectly normal herself. Swirls was still as enthusiastic as ever about no, and hearing what was going on, he turned around, and began talking again.

"Alright! The party's all here! Let's go and party Swirls style!" Swirly thought to himself "More like idiotic style", he still was pretty happy himself, this was one of the first times he's ever enjoyed himself, he couldn't help get caught up in the up rage of new friends and no homes and all that, he couldn't help it. Sam then turned his attention to Flame, and looked at him with her beautiful eyes, green as they were, she talked again.

"Thank you very much" She answered with a happy, and she sounded a bit in love herself, going closer to Flame, a big mood killer came up, as Bubbasaur begna running ahead of the walking group, anxious to get to her new home.

"Come one Slowpokes!" Bubbasaur ran ahead of everyone, laughing with all of her new friends and a new home on it's way, Flame was the first one to follow this tease and began running. "Alright!" He began running ahead as well, he was also laughing, having such a great time like he's never had one before, Sam was second to follow up.

"Come on!" She said with laughter, and tired to catch up to their new Eevee friend, Flame lowering his speed so the two of them could run together, Swirls and Swirly caught up and began running, everyone smiling and happy, they ran into the village, and up to the large house that belonged to Swirls and Swirly, after a few delays, they made it, when Swirls opened the door, they found such a luxurious space and neat and nice place, it was because Swirly was the one that kept it so tidy. There were a few gasps, a few mouths dropped, but everyone was still smiling inside, Swirls ran straight to his room to play his games, everyone else to be taken care of by Swirly was the usual thing that happened when they had guests, Bubbasaur then realized she didn't know anyone's name yet, and asked.

"By the way guys," Bubbasaur seemed to be hiding something for everyone, and then continued. "What's your name?". Sam was the first one to raise her ears and answer Bubbasaur's question. "I'm Sam." Sam seemed very tired, and yawned, then she turned to Swirly.

"Swirly, do you have a room for me? I'm really tired." Sam was tired, very tired, she yawned again, and stretched herself, extending her legs, she had a day today, and was eager to start tomorrow. Flame had intercepted the conversation with his big Eevee ears, and asked the same thing.

"Hey, what about me, Swirly?" Swirly appeared to be under a little stress faced with the two, and then Swirls returned pretty quickly, and looked at the two of them with a happy smile, Bub walking up to Flame with a grin and asking him something that she thought she shouldn't have.

"You like her, don't you?" Bubbasaur was talking with a grin, but she still knew she shouldn't butt in, it wasn't her business at all. But she still couldn't resist cracking Flame like an egg like that is so much fun. Swirls then returned again, apparently just leaving, he looked at Flame and Sam, and told them.

"I have three guest rooms for each of you! Sam, you'll be put in the room next to Flame, Bubbasaur you're in the room next to Swirly and me, tomorrow is party time!" Swirls left, and opened two doors in the hallway which were apparently the rooms he was talking about, they were nice, even for Pokemon Island standards, his parents were well respected and known, and he inherited this house along with Swirly. Swirls went into his room, and then the sound of wood bending was heard, but it wasn't anyone in the house, but nobody had noticed at the time.

"It's awesome!" Flame exclaimed to Swirls, and he entered, and bounced on the nice fluffy bed, he loved it, and the theme too, he was snug as a bug in a rug. "I love it!" Bubbasaur exclaimed when she founder her room and loved it to no end, Sam also loved her blue room. "Wow! My room is all blue! Yay!". Swirls came out, Sam's door was left open, but she never went in the room, and the door was open, Swirls began talking to Swirly.

"Swirls, I heard something before, and I want to make sure they're aren't any infected nearby." Swirls wasn't very happy. "Augghh, tomorrow Swirly." But the noise of the conversation roused up Flame and Bub up, and they were apparently still eager today, even if night was blocking the sky now. "Hey wait I want to come too!" Flame said loudly to Swirls and Swirly, "I'll go hunting too!" Bubbasaur thought that if she helped she would be able to befriend everyone that came. Sam did not come out of the door that was slightly creaked open. The four Pokemon left onto the span of grass, and looked at the bushes for any rustling that meant danger. The bushes began moving.

Swirls and Swirly stood ready, Bubbasaur, staying strong, but hiding behind Swirls and Swirly, Flame shot the slingshot at the bush, the explosive pellet blew up, sending whatever was in the bush flying, Sam came flying out of the bush. She had came to eat a few berries before she went to sleep, and take a nap, and was blown flying. She was not dead, but she was still hurt. "Oh no!" Bubbasaur cried.

"D*m*i*! The girl I love! It's all because of me!" Flame ran off, and Bubbasaur looked at Flame, and was about to follow, but realized she had a potion and stayed nearby Sam, and as she sprayed the Potion on her wounds as she was numb with pain, she could move again, and hearing what Flame said, she had a look of surprise on her face, and looked at Bubbasaur, and asked her.

"Did he say love? He loves me?" Sam sounded very surprised at the moment, she coughed up blood, but seemed to be able to walk, and looked at Bubbasaur. Sam stretched again and went into the house, sitting on the couch in the room near the hall, Sam waited for everyone else. Something rustled from the branches, and a huge ball of floating ugliness, it looked like a germ with eyes, it was a Virus! A Virususu! The Pokemon virus that caused rabidness! It had finally broken through! Swirls launched a Psybeam making it explode, then a few more emerged, Swirls and Swirly just barely holding them off, they began coming their waves, one after the other, germ like creatures, they floated over the Village and began raining down, attacking the villager,s infecting them all, Swirls and Swirly picked up Bubbasaur, Sam saw Flame rush in running from the Virususu, Swirls and Swirly ran in and locked the door, Swirls looked at Sam, a face like he just saw a ghost,

"RUN! INTO THE HOUSE" Swirls got Sam into his arms and ran down into the cellar, down the stairs, and locked the huge door, it was pitch black in here, with all of the lights sources out, moonlight kept out by closed curtains, and nobody could see anything in there well, Bubbasaur managed to find Sam in the pitch dark, and over the screams of citizens outside, began talking to her with worry in her voice.

"What happened, Sam?" Sam meekly coughed and then answered. "Bubbasaur, does he really love me?" She coughed again, and got back a louder tone, but still soft. "I knew he liked me, but he really loves me?". Bangs were heard on the door as the Virususu took their victims one by one, soon they found their physical vessels, and screams were still echoing, the nightmare lasting for such a time, there was no change in the tone outside. After a long silence Bub answered.

"I don't really know, I knew he liked you liked you, but I didn't know that much." She sighed. "I should've asked him if he did, this would've been a lot easier." Swirls was shivering, thinking this was the end. Sam was chilled by the screams of death, and she was scared, but not nearly as afraid as Bubbasaur. "Bubbasaur? Where is Swirls and Flame and Swirly?" Sam sounded very scared, and Bubbasaur was shivering with fear.

"I don't really know." Bubbasaur sounded more and more afraid by the minute. "But I'm really, really scared!" Bubbasaur was definitely getting more and more afraid, until she began to cry and sob. "I don't want to die!" She began crieing and lying on the floor, and she was closing her eyes, trying to sleep it off, thinking it was a dream, something bumped into Sam from her side, and a familiar voice talked to her.

"Hey Sam"

Sam's cheeks went red as Flame stood next to her, both of them were equally fearful, Bubbasaur sobbing in fear, Swirls and Swirly shivering but ready to protect them, Bubbasaur was still sobbing, and hugged the nearest Sam, and was still sobbing when she was talking. "If I Die," she sobbed herself for a moment, then sniffed and then talked again "I just wanted you to know you are the best friends I've ever had!" Bubbasaur was still sobbing.

"I swear I will protect you." Sam blushed again, and looked at Flame, and nervously answered. "Oh, um hi Flame, so you love me? We're not going to die, I promise." Sam hugged Flame, and Sam felt a kiss on her cheek, and she relaxed, Flame staying strong, Sam staying low, the sounds of dying outside was beginning to silence, and for a few moments it was silent. Then the door was being pounded on by infected Pokemon, the noises yells, shrieks and roars of the infected after the living was increasing, it finally ceased, and for the rest of the night, not a sound but the breathing of the group was the noise heard, everyone fell asleep...

Chapter 3: Phantom of the Root

Sam was flushed with red on her face as she was marked by Flame's kiss, Sam seemed so much more happy, and outside, the sounds and noises of death and the infected were dieing down, and at the same time, light began to flash across the land, and across the mountain, and was filtered through the screens of Swirly's window filtered out most of the incoming shine, but it was enough to reverse the dark feeling of the house, and it became much more enjoyable, being lit up, the sounds outside were no more than little leave cracks of small Rattata emerging from the terrible night to begin looking for food, other than the bristling of tree branches rubbing together and occasional wood squeak, it was completely silent in the room, and everybody stayed up through the night, fearing for their lives, most calmed down finally, everybody seemd to have settled.

"Thank you, you guys. I've never had friends like you." Bubbasaur was still hugging everyone with all of her might when she was talking, and everyone in the room could agree with that. Sam was still speechless, she hadn't talked since Flame had kissed her on the cheek, Sam was still a little red, and an embarrassed smile, but could not be any happier. Swirly looked at the door, still fearing for everybody in the room, they could not spend the rest of their lives in here, so Swirly looked at everyone, turning around, and began to suggest.

"Maybe we should open up, just a creak, see if it's safe?" SWirly was still a little in thick, Swirls completely out of it, Flame looked at Swirly, then turned to Sam, and smiled. He was happy with himself and to be with Sam, and that he had told Sam his feelings, he purposely moved closer to her, Flame then looking at the door that protected them from certain death, he looked at Swirly.

"I'm ready, for whatever is on the other side of that door." Flame's words spoke loudly into everyone's minds, and it gave them a little strength, Swirls regaining color to his face, Swirly then approached the door, slowly stepping to it, his steps low and quick to avoid making too much noise to attract any stragglers from the night, Bubbasaur stood up proud, and began chanting.

"We will survive, we will survive, come on everyone sing! It could keep pur spirits up!" But nobody had been listening apparently, as everyone was still looking at the door, and as Swirly closely approached it, shivering a little bit, he looked at the door like opening it would be the end of his life afterwards, and Swirly grasped the door knob, Sam slowly getting clser to Flame, Buubasaur rearing herself down, getting ready, Swirls also preparing himself for whatever he was about to see, Swirly turned the knob, and slwoly opened the door, peering outside. The entire village was in ruins. House were blown holes through, many collapsed, the streets turned around and flipped over, the most horrible of it was the corpses. Countless, some not even together, it was terrible to see.

Some of the Pokemon there went under so much stress, that their ability's increased in a way, by going through strong feelings, they were motivated to become stronger, Flame able to use Shadow Ball, and Buubasaur was able to launch Razor Leaves, "Cool" Flame was satisfied. "Wow" she was surprised she could use that move, as she used it in the excitement of they having made it through the night, not everyone was as gleeful and happy as they were. Sam was trying something, to see if she had learned anything new either. But she couldn't. She felt embarrassed that everyone else was learning new things while she was missing out on it, she went back into the house, and into her blue room, suddenly, when she hopped on the bed, the door slammed shut, darkness concentrated near a single corner, red eyes flashing...

Another problem presented itself. Pokemon began to climb out of the ruins, the infected, but a group of villagers who had survived the fighting were also drawn by the sound of non hostile voices, and they began to fight the infected once again, battling, the killing resumed from the night cut back, and once again fear was installed on the group, both Flame and Bub realizing Sam was nowhere in sight, Bubbasaur looked around.

"Where's Sam?" Bubbasaur was scared and nervous, shivering up and huddling back, Flame himself then looked around, realizing Sam had probably gone back in the house, Flame jumped up the stairs quickly and barged at the door, but it simply would not budge, Flame was trying again and again to help Sam, but no good. "Flame!? Help!"

"It's that d*mned little omen Eevee! She brought this upon us! Get the little thing!" Villagers made a run for the Eevee, but Bubbasaur, Swirls, and Swirly immediately got in front of her, Bubbasaur snarling at them with anger. They must of spotted her when she exited the house for a moment, going back inside, that was what must have drawn them out of hiding and trying to kill Sam.

"Don't. You. Dare! She's my friend!" Bubbasaur began to viciously attack the villagers, killing everyone on sight, she was fighting viciously for her friend, and without a question, Swirls and Swirly began firing Psybeams and attacking the villagers with her, keeping them away from the house, they were surrounded by them and the infected, they were having the most trouble with Swirls, Swirly and friends, keeping them well off of Sam's trail, Bubbasaur saw a Gastly near the flanks of the crowd, not fighting, simply looking at the fighting, he had a weak slit on his face, as if watching this as a game, Bubbasaur saw him, and called out to him.

"You there! Help us! You could be helpful!" Bubbasaur, speaking to the lowly Gastly, who then just began to pay attention when he heard Bubbasaur, he looked at her. "What's the matter?" the Gastly did not seem very heart set on helping her out here, but he still did not seem to interested, and unlike a normal, malevolent Gastly smile, he never smiles, unless in combat. Then he saw Bubbasaur holding off a few of the infected, Joe quickly caught up, and then began fighting, jumping into a group of enemy's, he used a Night Shade, and sent a wave of of dark energy knocking down a group of infected.

"How about a Night Shade? A Hypnosis? Dream Eater on the side? Heh, you guys are just too easy." Joe smiled to himself as he wiped out the enemies, some knocked out cold, others too injured to move or continue. Meanwhile, Flame's futile efforts to break down the door with sheer physical force alone, and then decided to charge up a powerful Shadow Ball, and launched it at the door, shattering it into pieces, continuing into the wall, making a hole, but not to the outside, Flame saw the incoming danger slowly approaching Sam with it's evil eyes. As Bubbasaur outside noticed how well Joe was fighting, since she didn't know his name yet.

"Nice job, what's your name?" Bubbasaur said as she was launching Razor Leaves and using Vine Whip all over the place to keep her foes at bay, Joe turned by. "I'm Joe, and you are?" Joe said as he launched a Confusion on a group of enemies, sending them flying, Joe smiled and stuck out his tounge, Bubbasaur took a glance at him. Inside Sam's darkened blue room, the ball of red eyes was very close to her, Sam shivering, she noticed the door was busted down and saw light reflecting off of Flame's red fur, she screamed.

"Ahhh!" The figure that was slowly approaching was just about within striking range. "Flame! Help me!" Flame looked at her with his flaming eyes, and looked at her, charging a Shadow Ball, "Leave my friend alone!!" Flame shot a Shadow Ball at the creature, blowing a hole in it, and blasting it into the wall, and outside, it was blown into a tree, Sam looked outside, and looked at Flame, and ran over to him. Outside, the fight continued to keep them away from Sam.

"I'm Bubbasaur, good fighting!" Bubbasaur had a good smile on her face, she looked like she made a new friend, and he was enjoying himself, more than anybody else outside probably, the Virsusu blasted through into the house, about to deliver a strike on Flame for revenge before dieing, outside, the fight itself was beginning to die down, the rest of the vilagers either running away, the rest along with the remaining infected, Swirly then realized that there was two missing members of the group, and looked around, realizing it was Sam and Flame, Swirls and SWirly headed in first, Bubbasaur and Joe following a slight bit after, Swirls and Swirly arriving just in time.

"PSYBEAM" A Beam of Psychic Energy diverted the Virus Pokemon and it exploded, splattering everywhere, Swirly looked around and familiarized the mess in the room, it was a Virususu, the cause of the island's rabid Pokemon, Sam and Flame, along with everyone else, were panting and gasping for air, Sam still gasping, Bubbasaur ran up to Sam, tears streaming down her eyes, hugging her with all her might.

"Sam! You're okay, I thought I lost one of my only friends!". Sam was a little surprised, but she was still a little shaking, but not really anymore, Joe came up to Sam, "Hey Sam, I'm Joe." Everyone headed outside into what remained of the village square, Swirls looked at Joe, unknowing of him as of yet.

"Hey there, Gastly. who are you?" Swirls asked to Joe, acting serious for the first time a little while now, he looked at Joe, Sam then looked at the floating Gastly, Joe realized he was still smiling, he immediately stopped, and Sam looked at him. "Hi Joe." Then, the ruins were rustling, and a few villagers ran near them, and stared at Sam with hatred and the assumed leader of the group, with his wooden staff, elderly stature, he pointed straight at Sam, there was no doubt, he began to yell orders at his remaining men.

"Get her! Kill the possessed one!" They closed in on Sam, readieing their Spears, they tried to approach Sam, but her friends surrounded her in a circle, and they were ready to fight back. "Get AWAY from my friend you jerks!" Bubbasaur snarled at them, jumping straight in front of Sam, one of them jabbed their spear straight at Sam, but Bubbasaur grabbed it with her Vine Whip, and threw it far away, picking up the Pokemon, and throwing it into the others, these were apparently tougher and more armoed, as one powerful attack wouldn't keep them down, the old man directed more attacks. Flame jumped next to Bubbasaur, charging a Shadow Ball, he launched it at one man, straight at his belly, blwoing ahole straight through it, he was flown into a house, or what remained of it, and it collapsed on him, finishing him off. Flame hadn't yet realized what he had done ,and continued to defend Sam.

"Leave my friend ALONE!" Flame yelled, growling and baring his teeth, his fur rattled up in a threatening posture, he looked at the villagers with anger. "Don't trust her! She's pure evil!" They began yelling and screaming at her and her friends, cursing as well, trying to convince that she was evil, she fell down, and began crying, and she would not stop crying either. "Leave my friend alone, she isn't evil at all!" Flame snarled, and shot another Shadow Ball, knocking down a villager, he moaned, and had trouble getting up.

"Don't worry Sam! I trust you, you're my best friend I'll always believe in you!" Bubbasaur shot a Razor Leaf barrage at another one, cutting into their arms and legs, they fell in pain, and they were heavily bleeding with cuts, but they were deep. Swirls and Swirly both fired a Psybeam, screaming the attack's name out, a beam of rainbow appearing Psychic Energy, a few of the villagers who were hit fell down, their minds literally blown up by the Psybeam, the villagers, other than the elder, were a little shaky having seen their comrads fall down dead like that, they took a step back, but the elder gestured that it was not yet time to give up. He stared at the Eevee's eyes with anger. Joe looked at the poor sobbing Eevee.

"Would a possessed cry right now!?" Joe felt sorry for the poor Eevee, and then Bubbasaur stood herself up, mighty and tall, also speaking out for her, "Exactly! If she was really possessed, she'd be laughing or something, you're terrible people!"

"ENOUGH GAMES!" The elder screamed at Bubbasaur sharply, and he was very steamed at the moment. Then, suddenly, there was a huge crash in the mountain, and a landslide from the mountain came raining down into the Safari, but something was using the falling waterfall of gravel, rocks and earth as cover. There was a loud roaring sound, it was coming from the foot of the mountain, the elder listening as though it were familiar, and everyone else cowering behind those that stood tall and brave, the roar lasted for a few seconds, then stopped. The elder seemed to be more angry than ever now.

"You see yet!? That d@mned omen, wherever it goes, the infected will follow her! Now we are all going to die!" The elder then reached into his bag, and then pulled out a few newspapers, some old, some new, but all of them printed during the time of Sam's life. The pictures on it, though black and white, they reported that a walking beacon, that Eevee, was a magnet to rabid Pokemon, as wherever she treaded, those monsters came with her eventually, usually the next day, or even in a few hours, to a meer couple of minutes, they showed the Eevee, infected following her around, she was like a target for the infected bomb. Sam's friends looked in awe, but Swirls, putting aside his usually Dazed habits, yelled out at them.

"No...no." Sam was shivering, her eye's in awe, the roar from the Safari came again, and then, in the clear line of sight, trees began to fall down, in a pattern, one after the other in a line. There was something coming, something huge. Something powerful. Something hungry. It's roars echoed across the land, installing fear on the little Rattatas that scurrowed to their burrow's safety, bird Pokemon flying in all directions but the one the huge creature was coming from, and it was coming for them. The elder spat at the Eevee mockingly, and Swirls used Psybeam again, but one of them jopped in the way, Swirls yelling with anger.

"IF THERES ANYONE EVIL HERE!, IT'S YOU VILLAGERS FOR SHUNNING AND HATING AN EEVEE FOR BEING A BIT DIFFERENT!!! STAND DOWN OR I'LL KILL YOU ALL!!!" Swirls, breathing slowly and loudly with anger, seemingly climbing over the crashes and battering of the impending doom, SWirly looked at them. "That goes for me too." Suddenly, the impending roar came upon them once again, only the huge creature emerging from the ruins of it's wake, the elder looking in awe, and raising his staff, the braver warriors stood to fight, but the more cowerdyl ran off, the Aggron was looking at Sam when it came out. The Elder looked at the Aggron with hate.

"If this world must die, THEN WE ALL MUST DIE! YAAGGGHHH!!" The Elder along wit his warriors charged at the huge creature, only to be torn in half by a Single glowing Metal Claw attack, the creature snorted once, and then yelled in anger, the elder was sent flying, well, what was left of him, and Sam quickly ran over to his corpse, and picked up the pictures, and but it away in her bag, and quickly returned under everyone's noses. Bubbasaur noticed, but didn't turn to ask, and looked in awe at the huge creature, it's mouth wide open, fangs covered in drool, stained with blood, the creature's bloodshot stare at Sam frightened not just her, but everyone else around her, the huge creature roared...

...And caming running straight towards Sam...

Chapter 4: Rampage of the beast!

BTW, alot of this chapter is going to be fighting, and it is the first major long time fight in the entire fan fic, so please enjoy the senseless violence between cute little "war" orphans and a giant hingry rabid monster who's after a strange Eevee. Enjoy.

Chapter 4: Rampage of the Beast!

A huge Aggron was running towards the group, it's mouth wide open, drool slobbering out, it's metal hide scratched and dark maroon as a result of either blood or infection color, the huge creature's bloodshot eyes could freeze somebody in fear at a distance, but right now, there were two options avaliable. Move, or die. The huge Aggron was only a thirty feet away when the gropu finally snapped out of grasping the situation, and moved, all dashing in opposite directions, Flame and Sam one, Joe and Bub another, Swirls and Swirly a third, they urrounded the huge creature, and seemingly had an advantage, but having an edge alone could not scratch the surface of this beast. It looked around, and then Bubbasaur used Razor Leaf, shining razor shape leaves that shined against the sunlight, headed straight for the behemoth. It simply crumbled and fell when it knocked against the creature.

"This is not good..." Bubbasaur moved back, and Flame charged a huge ball of dark, ghostly energy and shot a Shadow Ball at the huge Aggron's belly, propelling it forward slightly, but not really inflicting damage, this huge creature seemed invulnerable. Swirls kneeled down and touched the ground, rocks were rising from the ground, it wa susing AncientPower, and they were flown at the huge creature, the rocks propelled at such a speed, when they made contact, they merely cracked into pieces and fell on the ground, the Aggron acting as if nothing had happened, it looked and charged at Eevee, she gasped and began running, the huge creature following in tow.

"Help me Flame! Somebody help, please!!" She cried as she ran as fast as her legs could carry her, she tried desperately to run. "Move, move, move" was all that echoed in her head as she ran for her existence, the large creature not showing signs of slowing down, the others gave chase, Bubbasaur getting ahead, she used Vine Whip, two strings of plant growth extended and caught the creature by the legs, and upon being caught, it tripped down on it, and fell face first into the ground, it sat limp, but then slowly rose itself with it's arms, and then looked very angry and impatient, growling, it emitted a horrible screech, everyone felling down, putting their hands over their ears to stop it, the huge Aggron gave chase again, Sam running once more, the others got up and ran after them again, the huge beast seemed unstoppable. Sam was a fair bit ahead, having tripped the Aggron, she gained a bit ahead, but she was beginning to feel tired, running as fast as she could, she began slowing down, and the others noticed and quickly got faster, Joe got there first, and began charging a ball of black energy, and fired it at the huge Aggron.

"Shadow Ball!" He screamed as the huge creature was hit head first, and fell over on the ground, the impact and force was what it was knocked over by, and it's simply waddling movement, it fell on it's side, and rolled on it's back, and was struggling to get up, Sam began running again, and got the group, gasping for air.

"You guys, leave me behind, it's no use if we all die!" Sam was urging them to go, but Flame nodded his head no immediately, "No way! There's no way we're letting you be Dinosaur food!" Flame said again, hugging Sam, Sam was tired, and Flame helped her stay up a bit, they looked at the Aggron, and they needed to find a way to defeat it, one way or another, the Aggron was taking it's steps to getting up, and fast, so they needed to find a way to put down that Aggron for good, fast, as Sam was losing energy fast, and she couldn't run forever, Flame looked up at the wall and saw that it could be stood on, Flame looked at the rest of them.

"Keep the Aggron busy for as long as you can! I'm getting Sam up to that patrol wall!" And without a second glimpse of what was going on, he climbed a little rubble, Sam trying desperately to keep up, they climbed some staira and got to the top of the wall, they stood up and looked down upon the battle, Flame then hugged Sam again, and began running, but looked at her again.

"Don't forget Sam, what I said to you last night." And with that, Flame paraded down the rubble to his very death, and he came up to the group, Bubbasaur using Vine Whip to try and keep the Aggron down, it was working. but then it's claws began clowing in a silvery color, and then, it chopped up the vines, hurting Bubbasaur a bit, and roleld up, roaring at them, Joe then looked at a pile of rubble on the other side of the patrol wall, and used Confusion, it began glowing, and tumbled down on top of the Aggron, burying it in a landslide of a metal wall, they began walking towards the other wall where Sam was, but it was going to take alot more thna that, as the Aggron bursted out of the rubble, and then again began charging for them, and it's claws began glowing again, it swiped them at Bubbasaur, who was the slowest, Joe saw Bubbasaur, and realized he had to do something. He used Confusion and sent her flying away from Aggron, saving her from becoming salad, the Aggron continued running towards the other wall, it's lust for blood unstoppable, Joe then got an idea.

"Guys, stand back. I'm gonna send this thing on a rampage!" Joe screamed, and began charging a glow of light in his mouth, Bubbasaur looked at him confused, "Are you crazy!?" Bubbasaur yelled as she ran, looking back, "Trust me!" Joe screamed as he launched the ball of light which circled around and around the Aggron, finally getting him, Aggron then lost control, and began running in circles like crazy, Joe levitated quickly away, as it was tumbling with off balance and running in circles, attacking itself literally with Metal Claw, it then ran to a wall, thinking it was Sam's but was actually the frontal wall, his tail began to glow the same way his claws do when he uses Metal Claw, he whacked the wall, cracking the already damaged titan, it then collapsed, literally crushing Aggron again, burying it in a larger pile of rubble, for a few moments it was limp and moveless.

"Thank god." Joe said to himself as they stood back, Sam having made it down to see them, the Aggron appeared to have been silenced, ,the rocks began to shake again, and then a metal hand reached out, and then it bursted again, walking throughm, it appeared to have been tired and weared down, a few deeper scratches, it roared with anger, and began towards the wall wiht utmost speed, it's horns straight out, glowing with energy, it was using Iron Head, an incredibly powerful attack, everyone then began to climb up the wall, but Bubbasaur couldn't make it up, she stared at the huge charging beast, she felt so scared and like it was the end, her eyes flashed for a moment, she wanted to defend Sam and everyone else, she yelled, and then a huge amount of roots emerged from the ground, they began tp entangle and constrict the Aggron with incredible force, denting and crushing it, it began yelling, but it was angr,y and began to rip throuhg, Joe helped by using Confusion, it helped, but at last, the Aggron broke through the roots and Joe's psychic grip, and then, it struck the wall with utmost power.

"No..." Bubbasaur watched, the wall cracked and crumbled, toppling down on the Aggron, it had foolishly caused it's own end, it collapsed on the Aggron, burying it for the third time in rubble of the last wall that protected what remained of the village, the village was no more, and Root was gone. But the Pokemon that were one the wall that had crumbled with it stuck their heads out, and dusted themselves off, and ran back down.

"Sam! Joe! Everyone! We're alive!!" Bubbasaur jumped around and began jumping, hugging everyone with excitement, smilling so much, Sam laughed, and smiled too, "I'm glad too. Thanks guys, you're the best friend I could've ever asked for." But before they could have a renunion, Sam dropped the pictures that she had kept safe and away from everyonelse, Joe saw the pictures, and he looked, and was uneasy for a second. Flame then caught on and looked at Sam.

"What are those Sam?" He said, taking the pictures and before getting a good enough look, she quickly snagged them from his hand, "Um...Nothing, they're nothing at all..." Sam seemed nervous, and she backed away, Joe and Flame seeming confused, Swirls heard the conversation himself and came to see the objecs in her hand.

"Sam, what is that?" Sam dropped them by accident, and Swirls saw them for a moment, Sam beginning to cry, he looked in amazement, and realized that it was a mistake, he quickly tried to reassure her, "Don't worry, they're not real, I know they're not!" But Swirls sounded very uneasy, and unsure what to be believe at the moment, Flame then grabbed them again, and got a good look at them, looking for a few seconds, and then pushed them away quickly.

"I can't believe what I just saw.." Bubbasaur was last to notice, and saw what was happening between Flame and Sam, she looked at them, nervous, "What's happening here? Sam, what are you doing?" Sam looked at Bubbasaur, everyone was looking at Sam, and she was still upset, sobbing she looked at Swirls.

"But...They are real." Sam said in small griefly voice, she was very untidy, and silently sobbing, "B-But I though you were my freind! Why!?" Bubbasaur ran off crying, and Joe quickly ran off after her, trying to catch up and calm her down, SWirly looked at them with uneasyness.

"Sam, that Aggron was trying to get you, do you know why?" Swirly asked with nervousness, Some people did not really agree with Swirly's method of questioning, but nonetheless, they needed to know why that Aggron was after her, as if that Aggron was so determined on getting her, more of them might come for her again. Swilrs tried to cheer Sam up,

"Don't worry, we'va all made our own mistakes." Swirls said, tryingto keep a postitive tone, but simply could not hide his dsiturbed disfigure, "Yeah, but you Swirls always makes mistakes," Swirly said trying to cheer Sam up too "But I promise, this won't come between our friendship, I swear." Sam looked up at them, her eyes shining with tears, her faced all wet,

"But, did you ever destroy a Village...Or nine!?" She cried out. She really sounded serious, and Swirly read the paper, it says that wherever she goes, the infected ones somehow trail her wherever she is, if she stays in a single area too long, and the infected will soon be there and kill the Pokemon nearby, she is a walking magnet for death. Swirly was a little disturbed by this, realizing how the village was attacked in the first place. SWilry turned to Swirls, and then the sun began to come up, being it was dawn when the fight took place, Joe yawned and slitted his eyes a bit, he looked at everyone, having retured with Bubbasaur, now cheered up.

"Grr, the sun is rising. Good day." Joe went into what was left of the mansion, and Bubbasaur ran behind him. It was a long day today, and Bubbasaur was after him, coming back inside, Joe fell on the floor, ready to go to sleep, Bubbasaur shook him a bit, and he got up, still smiling from the battle, she looked at him, blushing a bit,

"Joe, sleep in my room, you can lay on the pillows, I guess." She layed down a few pillows for him, adding another as a head pillow, he levitated over it, and realized he was still smiling, immediately stopped, Bubbasaur also realized her cheeks were a little red, she tried to stop herself, and for the rest of the day, they worked, keeping themselves together and safe, going into the Safari to gather berries and put them in a supplies box, on the way Swirls and Swirly munched themselves on a few Pecha Berries, That Pikachu Mist nowhere to be seen, she was probably dead by now, as they had to kill a few of the infected on the way, and until dusk, everything seemed normal.

Then, danger struck once more...

Thank you very much, this is the first real fan fic I've wrote, given I've actually continued to write it, other then a few failures I've comitted. :O Thank you, and the next chapter is coming, with another major fight close by! :O

Well, it was my role play, huh Anala? Yep, I couldn't reply to somebody else's posts without another person coming and posting faster and before me, everytime I refreshed somebody else had posted. Yep, good times, good times...

I actually rely on the actual role play, since I bookmarked it and have it whenever I need it, and thank you for the nice comments. :)

Unfortunately, I had to "tweak", especially with Flame, back then, whatever Flame said had no emotion, he was like a businessman :O So I had to completely revamp what he said, and yeah, Swirls and Swirly had their flaws, as well as everybody else, but for the most part of everyone else, they are authentic.

Chapter 5: Mt. Smog!

For the remainder of that day, things went normal for the most of the day. Swirls, Swirly and Flame would go out into the Safari and Eastern Farm and gather supplies for the group's future travels, Joe sat on the mansion floor all of the day sleeping, Bubbasaur and Sam staying near the house keeping watch for any infected or any angry villagers, a few stray infected ones came on by now and again, the Aggron still buried under the ruins of the wall, Sam stayed inside of the house for the most part, gathering supplies and containers, Bubbasaur was paracticing her moves that day, Sam also helping her, herself honing her skills, Bubbasaur still wary of what she saw last night, it did not seem to affect her outside her skin, but she was still worried for the other's lives, if something like that Aggron attack, or if the villagers came back for Sam, it would be terrifying, just the sheer thought, and Bubbasaur tried not to think about it. But she sadly could not truly escape what she has feared all day long, she got a bit jumpy, leaf rustling making her spring off her feet, usually just a little Rattata scampering around.

The sun was shining brightly all day, no cloud in the sky, the only thing that blocked out the sky was the thick cloud of smog that coated the peak of Mt. Smog, which the mountain trail to Ash Village was nearby. It was used to send messangers between the two, as well as traders and ambassadors, these days the old trail is too dangerous, infected spreading along it, hiding, waiting for an unsuspecting loomer, even non infected are known to be agressive here, not part of any village, agressive and primitive in behavior, a ladder, rope ladder, was what was used, and rope elavators as well, bringing up important supplies to and from. The sun began to submerge into the water once again, purple spreading across the sky like spilled cereal, Swirls, Swirly, and Flame had returned for the last time, loading the last of their supplies, they packed it, and just whne things seemed to be okay, an arrow, a few arrows, were fired, and nearly pierced Swirly, his hand immediately stung in pain, a poison dipped one piercing his hand, night was close, and Joe awakened, yawning, he began looking for Bubbasaur. He saw her tending to Swirly, Joe grabbed something he had had with him, and gave it to Swirly with his tounge.

"Swirly! Catch!" Joe said, throwing it to Swirly, it bounced off of him, and Swilrs immediately tended to him. "We're under attack! They're coming!!" Swilrs yeld as he sprayed the Antidote quickly on Swirly's hand, he got up and streched, seeming hurt, and he was, his hand was bleeding, and Swirls got a few bandages, Swilry improvising, SAm looked and saw a croud of villagers coming from the east, many of them, they did not look like Root villagers, they appeared to be...Ash Villagers! And the man who was leading them was the old man who was heavily wounded, he was a nasty Grumpig, he used Psychic at the last minute of his impact to try and keep himself from ending up like his followers, the Ash Villagers raised their blades, psears and bows, getting ready to fight, they were backed into a corner, Joe looked at Bubbbasaur.

"Bubbasaur, I love you!" Joe shouted proudly and noblely, he obviously did not realize this was NOT the right time to have a wedding, Bubbasaur, though they were about to enter mortal combat, looked at Joe, Bubbasaur got a little red on her cheeks, still standing,

"Joe? What did you say?" Bubbasaur's face instantly went from green to pure red all over, she looked at him. "I Love you too" she said nervously, the villagers then closed in, tightening their ever so tight circle, the elder came up to them, but they reared themselves ready for a strike, he snorted, and walked back, his face made, and bloody, his cold eye's staring into Sam's. Suddenly, Joe kissed Bubbasaur, and normally a kiss by a ghost would be rather disturbing, but Bubbasaur actually kissed him back, and she had a smile.

"Thank you, Joe. Makes me feel so much better about yesterday." Joe looked at her. "How about later, m'kay?" Joe said, and Bubbasaur realized why. The elder was very angry, and he had raised his staff up, and his men got their swords and spears ready, they were ready to charge, the elder gave his final order.

"Kill that Eevee. Now." A few of the villagers came first, their spears and swords ready to pierce them, "Okay, Joe.." Bubbasaur then reared up, and she shot some Razor Leaf at the villagers, Joe watched, "Confusion" and using psychic power to amplify the leave's force, they literally cut through the men, and they fell on the ground moaning, Bubbasaur looked at them,partly feeling sorry for them, but also feeling it was the right thing to defend a friend, Sam stood up, and looked at them.

"No! Just let them take me. Then you will all be safe from them" Sam was trying to build up courage, she looked at them with sad eyes, and looked at Swirls, his bright silly face, now a battle hardened commander of a face, he looked at Sam.

"No way we're gonna leave a friend behind!" The elder looked at him, and then a few of the men came over, charging, Swirls rushed in, grabbing one of their spears straight from their hands, he threw it at another one of them and the fell dead, the other two were shot away by the use of Ancientpower, suddenly the floor began to shake and crack widly, as if something from underground were coming up for them, a familiar hand bursted out from right under the elder's feet, grabbing him, he yelled out curses at the Eevee,

"This is what cames of that Eevee! YOU WILL ALL DIE!" He screamed as he was pulled underground, and there were screams from down under, the ground exploded, and the Aggron that attacked Sam, the exact same one, unknowing of Sam's prescense as of yet, it began attacking the villagersm and the fight began all over again, The Aggron began to slice his Metal Claw attack all over, anyone who was close to him was ripped apart, they were slowly realizing that their metal spears and swords could not scratch the beast of an Aggron, who continued to kill the villagers, he was also grabbing and eating them alive, the Aggron roared and roared, killing others, the bloody scene was horrible to watch, people being killed and ripped apart, it was simply horrific. However, it was also an advantage. Although villagers were coming from the east, infected from the west, the Aggron just in front of them, there was a way out of it all: The old mountain trail.

Mt. Smog has been as a fort, mining facility, village center, and religious shrine for many centuries, and centuries to come, the old mountain trail once connected Ash Village with Root Village, before a war broke out between the two, the mountain trail was disbanded, and no longer served any purpose because of it's tactical weaknesses, it was however, colonized by the infected, it simply became a part of the infected world, Root also succumbing to this fate, the trail was still able to support many tons of weight, but infected Pokemon rugged the way, even agressive non infected made the trail a hazard. But at this time, there was no possible exit, nowhere left to run but up, and Swirls looked at them, but they had to clear the exit, as villagers and infected were all around it, Swirls looked at them.

"Guys, we have to get up to that old mountain trail. It could be dangerous, but we cannot risk staying in this massacre!" Swirls was right, but they would have to fight their way through, Flame looked at Sam.

"Sam, I swear, I will protect you. If they take you, they'll take me too!" Flame yelled as she shot a Shadow Ball at one of the fighting villagers, along with an infected, they both were shot in opposite directions, and were flying into hard surfaces, they fell and out cold, villagers were running towards them. Bubbasaur looked at Sam.

"NO! I'm not letting anything happen to my friend again!" She cried, and shot a few Razor Leaf, all of them were critical strikes, cutting and killing three villagers at the same time, Bubbasaur looked at their limp dead bodies with grief, "NO!! I'm sorry!" She sobbed as she ran forwards, Swirls then saw the old mining elavator that led up to the higher ledges that began the mountain trail, Swirls then pushed everyone towards it and pointed.

"There! Get on that elavator!" They were hustled onto an old, rusty, barely working elavator, and Swirly flipped the switch, and as they went up, they saw the true horror of what was happening. Ash soilders were valantly fighting for their lives and the lives of others, but were eaten alive, torn apart, and stabbed to death, it was truly a bloody war at hand, the elavator was halfway up when Bubbasaur limped down on her belly.

"Just go on without me." She cried as she was sobbing, she did not like to have to kill people, especially if they don't truly deserve it, but she knew what she had to do, but she never liked it, not even an inch. "I don't want to hurt anyone again." she said in a low voice to herself, and she meant it, Joe lowered down.

"Bubbasaur, that attack you used on that Aggron, it was incredible, I've seen it before. It's called Frenzy Plant, and only Bulbasaur can learn it, and it's evolutions of course, but it's rare." Joe knew he shouldn't have said that when Bubbasaur then looked at Joe with and upset figure.

"Wah-? Now I'm a freacken' monster!?" She cried again, and the elavator was finally at the top. The metal platform in front of them was what remained of the anceint mining business that went on the side of the mountain that ended during the war because of countless assaults against it, Swirls and Flame got off when suddenly the elavator began to crack, and chip, and realizing what was happening, Joe levitated on.

"Swirls! Help! The elavator's breaking!" Swirls grabbed Sam quickly as the elavator broke, Swirly grabbed Flame, Bubbasaur was lucky enough to have used Vine Whip to latch herself on the cliff, and she pulled herself up, looking down at the elavator fall down and breack in half as it fel ldown to the ground, Swirls looked at them.

"Well, now we can't go back the way we came." Swirls said quickly, SWirls looked forward at the hard bitter mountain trail, it wa rocky, rugged, unfcomfotrable, and worse, the infected were here too.

"Well, let's go."

Chapter 6: The Test of Bravery!

The craggy mountain trail ahead was not a pleasent way to go up to a mountaintop. It was rocky, sharp, and like SWirls had said, was crawling with infected Pokemon. it seemed to be a just bit worse down in the corpse covered wasteland of a battlefield. Well, that depends on opinion. Up ahead was the mining facility of old Ash. Ash is like Rock Village, it is ancient, and has been so for such a long time, before Root came into power nearby, the mining facility was used to lurch away at the volcano's magmatic energy to use to mold and create iron, and other volcanic minerals and soils, it was a power player in Ash Village economy. But when Root struggled to form itself, The Mining Facility became a target of Root, and was attacked quickly and a dashing move, was lost. But Ash kept Root's hands off of it's glory, a new mining facility, a smaller one was constrcuted inside of Ash Village, but no mine was as big as this, or for the record one of the biggest mines in the world, was lost eventually to war and the infected. Now the infected live off of the darkness, rocks and old machinery.

Going there these days is a bio hazard, and if unprepared for it's dangers, certain death is guranteed, especially if they are not ready to fight for their lives. And this was a good example of it. It was not too far away from where the elavator left off, but accounting in the infected, and the arrival time will be well long. The gropu however was still walking, hastily, as sitting around, in any place filled with rabid diseased Pokemon, craggy, rugged mountain cliffs, and angry natives make for a dangerous journey, and the dangers only get bigger as they get closer to the mining facility. Although nobody immediately noticed, one of the rocks on the side of the mountain began moving. It was a actually a Graveller, and after freeing itself, Swirls spotted it. It was surely infected, but it immediately attacked, rolling down the thin mountain trail in an attempt to knock them flying.

"Watch your butt!" Swirls yelled to everyone, as the rocky creature came quickly tumbling down, knocking pebbles, crushing rocks and smashing boulders, it would make a for a brutal impact. Luckily, everybody managed to jump out of the way, and when they thought it would simply roll off the mountain, it breaked, turned around, and began rolling upwards, slower, but nonetheless lethal. Bubbasaur ran forward.

"I'm not letting you touch my friends!" Bubbasaur screamed as she fired Razor Leaves in a barrage, they battered down and weakened the creature, Swirly jumped forward and hit the ground hard, a mysterious aura began to envelop the rocks around him, and they were sent flying towards the Graveller. AncientPower. They smashed against the Graveller, and it was halted completely, dazed and chipped, suddenly, Joe stepped forward as well, using Confusion, he rolled it flying forward, rolling straight off the mountain, it showed what great teamwork they had. THey continued up the trail, looking at eachother.

"Nice job, Joe." Both Swirly and Bubbasaur commented, and Joe grinned, and nodded his head. "Thanks. You weren't so bad yourself." He was teasing Bubbasaur and Swirly, and chuckled a little under his breath, and continued going up the mountain trail. Sam looked at Flame, worried, she stayed close to him, Flame looked at her, a little confused.

"Sam, it's okay. I'll blast anything we fight right off this mountain!" Flame said with enthusiasm, with a face full of pride an a joker's smile, he was bursting with personality, Sam laughed a little, calmed down a bit, and chuckled too. Suddenly, both a distance behind and in front of them, there was a crash and a dust cloud. Standing in them was a Machoke, and Machop, each of them in each dust cloud, they yelled out curses and roared their battle cries. Swirls looked at Swirly. They stood back to back, Joe was back to back with Bubbasaur, Flame and Sam back to back, they looked at their opponent and vice versa.

"LET'S GO!" Both Swirly and Swirls yelled, both of them fired a Psybeam. The one that SWirls fired hit the Machop directly, it seemed to have been injured, but it was not out, as it came running towards Swirls with anger, Machoke covering it's six, Bubbasaur used Vine Whip to grab the Machop and throw it off into the Machoke, which barely slowed it down, the Machop had trouble getting up, Flame charged up a ball of shadow energy and launched it straight at the Machop, sending it off the mountain, the Machoke was still incoming, Bubbasaur then used Razor Leaf again, slicing at the Machoke, they managed to draw a little blood, and scracth them neatly, but it was still charging, it grabbed Swirly and jumped up, high up, and threw him straight downwards!

"Swirly!" Bubbasaur yelled as she used Vine Whip to grab Swirly before he had to suffer an enormous impact, the Machoke, still airborne, was hit sky high by Flame, who had been charging another Shadow Ball while Bubbasaur saved Swirly, and they were flown off the mountain, Machoke and Machop. SWirly used Psybeam on a wider range, both Machoke and Machop halted, and Joe managed to assist, using Confusion to hold them back, Machoke then immediately jumped, and was using Revenge to strike him. But being Ghost, it simply went through Machoke's gasy body, and Swirls then used Slash to send it flying off the mountain as well, Joe then used Confusion on the Machop, sending it flying as well. The two groups backed up back to back again, then, right in the middle, there was another crash, and a Machamp was standing there, it punched both Swirly and Swirls, Flame and Bubbasaur back, Sam and Joe were out of reach, Sam immediately used Tackle to try and help, but it was no use.

"Hang on guys!" Sam cried, still trying to hit Machamp. But her strike's were weak, and then Machamp used a weak kick to send her flying over to Flame, Flame then looked at Machamp with sheer anger.

"D*mn you!" He screamed at the Machamp, he charged a Shadow Ball up and launched it at the Machamp, Machamp then used Foresight quickly, allowing him to hit Ghosts, and punched the Shadow Ball, dispersing it, Machamp began running towards Flame when a Psychic force held him back, it was Joe, Swirly immediately helped by using Psybema again, slowly sapping Machamp's health, Machamp then used all of it's sheer might to push forward, and used Karate Chop on Joe, and since Foresight was used, it hit Joe and sent him on the ground, Swirly used Psybema on the ground below the Machamp, and it began crumbling, and broke under Machamp's feet, and he fell over. But, the nhe came up, hanging from the rocks.

"No! Swirly!" Sam cried as the Machamp used Low Kick to kick the Blue Kecleon right next to Joe, it began marching towards them to finish them off, but a Vine Whip latched it's feet and began dragging it, trying to drag it over the hole in the trail, Machamp reached his hands into the rock, hanging tight, he used all his might to keep himself rooted. Then, Joe awakened and used Confusion to help push Machamp into the hole, Swirly got up and used Psybema once more, Machamp then lost root, and was dragged, was shot tumbling over the mountain, felling over mountainside tumbling down to the ground. Joe and Swirly both made it over the hole, and they continued walking up the trail, thye were marked by their encounter. Swirly and Joe were hurt, but not bad, they were merely hurt, that is all, but it still wasn't pretty. Eventually, thye had became close to the Mine.

"Bubbasaur, thanks for that." Bubbasaur smiled. "Heh, you're welcome." Swirly high fived SWirls, but Sam and Flame seemed not as jolly, but still seemed happy that they had defeated the Machamp. They were soon at the mine, the entrance was in clear sight. Swirly looked at everyone.

"Everyone, get ready. And when I mean get ready, I mean it." Thye then entered the mine, and it was just as they had pictured. It was hollow. There were many huge openings in the stone walls that let light in somewhat, while the darker areas hid Pokemon, many infected, thye slowly walked in, and thena large Gligar came raining down on them, and made a grab for SAm, she quickly ducked down, but just that the Gligar didn't touch her, it then came back down, Swirly then fired a Psybeam at it, and since it was a little weak, it was defeated instantly, and fell on the ground, not dead, but hurt. Fatally. Then, a much larger threat swooped down upon them. a huge Gliscor. It came down for Swirls, and he used Psybeam, which the Gliscor easily dodged, and he rolloed down, and Swirly and Joe's Psychic Attacks kept it at bay. But they wouldn't repel it forever. Then it swooped down, it's pincer was flaming, as it was using Fire Fang with it's pincer, it barely made contact, but it slightly burned her, but it hurt alright.

"Ow! Help!" She realized that she was burned, so Swirls immediately reached into the supplies and grabbed a Burn Heal and sprayed it, and it was immediately healed. The Gliscor was coming down again, this time, a Dark Aura, Night Slash, surrounding it's pincer, was aiming for Joe, which it barely scratched him, but got him, and snet him on the ground, hurt, but not badly enough to be really damaged. "Augh, that hurt." he said with a little sarcasm in his voice. The Gliscor clinged onto the stone top of the mine, and then emitted a horrible earsplitting screech that made Swirls ears bleed, It then came swooping down one more time, this time it's pincers wide open: It was trying to cut Bubbasaur's head off!

"Help!" Bubbasaur cried as she launched many Razor Leaves at the Gliscor, it actually scracted and well cut the wing membrane of the Gliscor, which sent it flying off ocurse and into a stone wall, which it fell off of and then began climbing the wall, quickly as it could, Swirls shot a Psybeam at it's legs, which numbed them and made it hang on the wall, Joe used Confusion to numb Gliscor's arms, it bit into the rock, desperately trying to save itself, Swirly fired the finisher. It fell, crashed and burned. It was dead, and everyone, although slightly wounded, seemed to be alright. Then, nightmare struck again in the form of a Rhydon, and two Rhyhorn, the Rhydon roared, followed by the Rhyhorn, and the two began charging, the Rhydon approaching as well, but slowly, Bubbasaur rasied her head, and immediately screamed and shot Razor Leaf, knocking down one Rhyhorn. Then she used Vine whip to stop another, and it was knocked over and whipped to bloody hell. Then the Rhydon began charging, it's horn begun drilling.

"RRHHYYDDOONN!" It screamed as it charged, they stood back, and then jumped away, the boulder it hit instead was shattered into pieces, and Sam swallowed, the infected Rhydon looking around, and spotted it's next target, Joe, it began using Rock Blast, blasting hard rocks out of it's mouth, Joe began flying here, there, all over to dodge them, the Rhydon began charging towards Joe. But then it stopped, and then, it rose it's foot, and then stomped, sending a wave of spiked and jagged rocks like a wave, it was Earthquake, and tumbled and turned everoyone, other than Joe, who got ahead of things.

"Be careful Joe!" Bubbasaur cried, firing Razor Leaves, Joe used the same trick, amplifying their power using Confusion, they sliced through Rhydon and it fell on it's face dead. Joe came towards Bubbasaur and Bubbasaur immediately freed herself, hugging Joe, everyonelse getting themselves out of the crags, they then looked at Joe.

"Thanks Joe," Bubbasaur said, kissing Joe, he smiled, "You're awsome." She added, and they continued, they were near the end of the mine when another crash and dust cloud was heard, this time, it wasn't a Rhydon, or Gliscor, or anything thye've ever faced before, perhaps. It was a big, mean, and mad Tyranitar. It roared and stomped, making the mine shake slightly, it looked around, and saw them, and stomped it's foot once again, and then began charging, it's arm extended, stone coated it, sharp stone, it was using Stone Edge, and it was coming in hot. Everyone had to pitch in this time.

"Stop that Tyranitar!" Flame yelled, and it began. Swirls and Swirly both used Ancientpower to try and slow it down, but they shattered upon impact. Joe used Psychic to try and slow it down, but it was ineffective. Flame tried Shadow Ball, but it was no use either. The Tyranitar was close no,w and it was incoming, it was nearly within striking distance, Bubbasaur then ducked down. Then, Bubbasaur, feeling the pressure, roots began to rise, and Joe realized and yelled, but then silenced himself, realizing it could stop Tyranitar, they began entangling and binding Tyranitar, trying to pull it under the ground, they were gaining an edge, as Grass had the advantage, they pulled Tyranitar under, and Tyranitar was crushed to death. It was finally stopped, and Bubbasaur sighed, and looked.

"Did, did I do that!?" Bubbasaur cried as she looked around. Joe then went over to her. "Don't be upset Bubbasaur, you saved our lives!" Bubbasaur that the Tyranitar was pulled and dragged under, killed, and Bubbasaur, knowing it was the best thing for it, they continued onward. Torwards Ash Village...

Chapter 7: A Volcanic Outrage!

It was good to feel the fresh mountain air again, leaving that dreaded mine, filled with nothing but death, Ash Village was in sight after a while of walking without disturbance, they saw Ash Village on the cliffs of the mountain, the village was not what it had been expected to be. Something had happened here, because the entire place was completely in ruins, like what had happened in Root Village, only there weren't as many corpses here, and the village was partly covered in rocks from the inside of the cliffs, there had been something going on here, and it was recent, there was still fighting going on, villagers desperately trying to keep infected Pokemon away from the only section of the village that was untouched, the administrative building, where the elder lived, and it had to be defended at all costs, although the enemy was advancing fast, and something caught Swirl's eyes: A Swampert, a familiar Swampert.

"Robert!" Swirls yelled as the Swampert immeidately turned around, knocking a Slugma down, and he jumped straight to Swirls, and looked at him with confusion, like why were they here, who were they, and how were they still alive? Robert looked at Swirly.

"What the heck are you guys doing here!? I thought you were killed when the invasion happened!" Robert said, and he was right. When the infected invaded, Robert managed to make it out of Root Village in time and made it to the in-use mountain pathway, Robert came up, and as the soilders left the village in a supposed safety, it was immediately attacked when they had left, and Robert was caught in the crossfire. Robert explained the deataisl of how he ended up here, and looked a Swirls.

"Why are you here anyway?" He asked with his normally stern voice.

"When we were invaded, we had ducked out in my house. at the end of yesterday, we left, and wasted a day, we rested up that day, and came here. They hadn't slept all day, and were a little tired. They were sleepy, and needed rest here in Ash Village, since this is where they were headed for. Robert then pointed the way to the administrative building, or the capital, and went inside, and the guards did not notice Sam as she was surrounded by her friends to try and hide her, the elder came, and looked at them.

"That blue Eevee, there is no need to hide her." This man was kinder than the last elder they had to deal with, he was a Blaziken, and he gestured the gropu into the guest rooms, and then began talking with them.

"Listen, Mt. Smog has been very upset recently, it has been smoking for some time now. Tomrrow, I would like to ask of you to go up to the mountain, and calm the spirits of the moutain. Robert will come wiht you in case you run into trouble. Please, I believe whatever is happening up there is connected to the infected attacks all over Pokemon Island. Please, save us. Our troops remaining will keep you safe over the night, you need the rest." He warned. And he was right. The road ahead after Ash Village, although not aware of the danger ahead, it would be the most that would ever be seen in their lives so yet. They immediately slept, but not too soundly, often waking up at the sound of battle.

Morning dawned on the world, and being Ash Village's position, it was the very first to feel the rays of sunrise beat down upon them, the shadow cast covered Root Village, but the shadows of Sundown coated Ash Village in a slim covering of shadows, beating down upon them, the very first person to wake up was Joe, who had noticed that they had went to sleep a little early and it was nighttime now, Joe immediately ran over to Bubbasaur's bed, and licked her with his big ghost tounge as a joke.

"Bubbasaur, wake up." Bubbasaur then straggled over, falling over the bed immediately, the crash woke up Sam and Flame, SWirls and Swirly, and they all looked a tBubbasaur, and Joe slowly crept away. "Oops." He said, Swirls then looked at Joe, and then everyonelse. it felt calm, there were no noises outside, and the noises outside seemed to have been silenced. However, an eerie chill fluttered the area, making it rather uncomftorable, Sam then lookedat the door. She could see a shadow on the other sid,e but couldn't make out what was there.

"Guys, someone at's the door..." She said nervously, steeping backwards, she huddled back, and then Flame came over to her, and sat nex to her, he was readieing himself, suddenly, the door flopped open, and on the under side was Robert, the Swampert, who looked a t everyone as if he'd been up all day fighting, he then turned his attention to Swirls, he had a grave look on his face.

"The Elder has been killed, as wel las everyone else, and the infected have left for some reason. I haven't seen the infected since the elder was killed. But regardless, Ash is lost. We haven't much time, we need to get to the mountaintop, it was the elder's last will, that we calm the anger of mountain, somehow. He wanted me to follow you guys too, become part of your little croney. Waddaya say?" Swirls looked at Robert, everyone else seemingly tagging along with him in doing so, Robert then just began walking down the hallway, and then everyone immediately ran after, noticing he was leaving, Robert did not say a word until they had went down the stairs, which were blood covered, and got outside the administration building. Ash was in ruins, but somethind had happened here. There wasn't nearly as much blood as in the administration building, it was as if the place was burned. Ash was everywhere, and the buildings were burned down to their roots. Swirly recognized that the infected may very well have nothing to do this. Bt anything that could burn down an entire village and it's population in so little time must have been something strong, perhaps, invulnerable. Robert then began leading them to the trail thta lead up to Mt.s Smog's peak, Ash Villagers never go up to the peak anymore, not even some infected. The mountain is mighty mad these days, and they even say it will blast travellers right off the mountain.

"The elder didn't tell me what was at the top, but he said that Mt. Smog has a history, it has been around for a long time. It has been here since the day this Island came to be, it is somehow linked with Pokemon Island spiritually, and it was said to be the home of bravery. It is sad that this mountain represents bravery, and bravery reprsents this mountain alike, that is why." Robert said with ponder in his voice, the Smog began rolling downwards, and then Joe stepped forwards. THey could not walk through poisonous smog like that, they needed a SmokeScreen.

"I'll use Confusion to keep the gas away from us." He said as he began using it and they began walking, the summit was very close. They could feel the intense heat of an volcano agitating their sweat glands, they continued walking, until they finally reached the very top of the mountain, smog fountained out form it, but did not smother the peak, there was a few rock pillars with strange markings on them, and a few of those rocks were odd, set in a pattern, it was hot alright, suddenly, the volcano burst, sending out hot cinders through the air!

"D@mmit!" Robert cried, shooting water from his mouth to wash it away, a creature began crawling up the pillar in the middle of the crater, the pillar streched to the very bottom of the magma pools, and that creature had apparently came up from it. Whatever it was, it was no ordinary Pokemon. It was a Legendary, and this one appeared to be like a dragon, it was hidden in the heat haze of the volcano until it rose up to the very top of the pillar, it looked very dangerous. Whereas dragon scales would be, it had volcanic rock as covering, and between it wa sflowing Magma, it had two smoking horns on it's head, wings made of fire, and an unusual normal eyes of a dragon, it looked down upno the travelling Pokemon, and snorted out fire, and began flipping it's wings up, it's flaming tail wagging around.

"Who the hell are you!?" It said angrily, it was not very happy at the moment, apparently as it's flames were absolutely bursting, it looked down on the Swampert, and then everyone else, he snorted again.

"How dare you climb this sacred mountain! I am Blazeyer, Dragon of Glory, Guardian of Mt. Smog. All who climb this peak have all shared the same fate: A fiery end of their lives. I know quite well that you are aware of the dangers of this mountain, and yet you climbed it anyway, what a pathetic waste of time, you look like a promosing bunch, but here is where your hopes and dreams are burnt to a crisp." Blazeyer coldly said, Robert was building up anger, and more anger, and more as Blazeyer kept degrading them, and he was ready to explode at Blazeyer, but being him, he did.

"Just woh the heck do you think you are pitying us like that! I oughta wash you away right now you flying piece of flaming sh!t!" As usual, Robert added his old, badmouth into a conversation, as usual, getting them into trouble.

"Heh, don't you know what you're up against? I'm about to make you wish you had more time to regret that!" Blazeyer said, he dived into the volcano, and then immediately came up, glowing in flames, he began to spin, and spin and spin, creating a wheel, he then began falling down, spinning straight towards Robert, Robert immediately jumped out of the wya to the side, using Muddy Water to douse him down, but it missed, and flying in the air, it came back down for him, knocking hi maway, Blazeyer flw back onto his pillar, and began laughing, mocking Robert.

"You have a brave attitude, but you simply don't know when it's time to throw in the towel, do you? Now I suppose you'll all have to suffer for his mistakes now, eh?" Blazeyer laughed, and then charged fire into his mouth, heat haze burning all around him, hot embers flying around as he was charging, Lava began rising from the Volcano, in a wave like fashion, and then Blazeyer stopped, and then jumped on top fo the lava wave, he began laughing again, and looked at everyone with his flaming eyes. The lava wave would be instantly fatal to anything non-rock, water, ground, or Fire. The battle has began...

Chapter 8: Fiery Duel on Smoggy Peak

The volcanic legendary looked down upon the group. The creature's Lava Plume was sure to be deadly should anyone be hit by it, Blazeyer stared one final stare at the group. Then, Blazyer raced forward, the Lava Plume shooting in a wave, there was nowhere to run, and nowhere to hide. The Lava cast a shadow then was over their heads when it then shot downwards. Suddenly, a crack underground was heard, a dust cloud, a pump of water, but it seemed too late, the lava wave had already engulfedeveryone, overflowing across the mountain, Blazeyer looked and laughed at the Pokemon that had challenged him, and flew over to the lava, still pouring over, he laughed again.

"This is what comes of challenging me. Maybe next time, you will think before you-" Suddenly, the magma below his feet immediately colled and then, cracked open, and a fist shot out at Blazeyer, engulfed in water, it smashed Blazeyer across the face, but even more, the solidified magma then shoot at in pouinty rocked form, trapping Blazeyer, then Robert jumped in front of him, and cursed at him, and then fired a Hydro Pump, knocking Blazeyer stragith through the rocks, and into the huge rock pillar, it was split in half as Blazeyer went straight through it, and onto the other side of the mountain, Everyone else got out.

"Don't underestimate me." He said coldly. Robert looked at Blazeyer, and everyone else got out of the hole, Robert then stomped the ground a tthe rocks shattered, it seemed as if the battle was over. However, in an instant of suprise, Blazeyer jumped up into the sky and used Smokescreen down on them, Robert immediately used Water Gun to push dose it away, Blazeyer came down too, and began using Flare Blitz, igniting his knuckles and feet, as well as other part's of his body, he began beating up Robert with burning punches and kicks, he then delivered the finisher, a kneee kick in the stomahc which fell Robert on the floor senseless. Blazeyer flew up again.

"I'm afraid if that is all you can deliver, then you are weak." Robert heard it, somehow, and hated the word, especially used against him, he jumped up and then used Hydro Pump again, blasting straight into Blazeyer's stomach, it sent him flying into the air, the recall sending Robert far back, Blazeyer then stopped himself, and then came swooping down, and used Dragon Claw, uppercutting Robert, but also grabbing him, and flying upwards.

"This is how you end!" Blazeyer yelled as he stopped in the air, Blazeyer suddenly found himself incapable of continueing as a Confusion from the powerful Joe knocked Robert off of Blazeyer's grip, and he came downwards with a smash, but was alright, Blazeyer looked down upon the rest of them. He smirked.

"Obviously, he isn't the only one who can put up a fight. I think it is time I stopped aiming my efforts on Robert and shooting on taking you all out!" Blazeyer said as he flew downwards, he then began charging something in his mouth, and shot jet of fire, everyone managed to jump out of the way in time, but everyone was hit slightly, Bubbasaur however, hit partially, it hurt like hell for her, she fell no her knees, and gasped hrself, trying to keep together, Blazeyer readied himself again, Joe then looked, and then used Shadow Ball himself, Blazeyer simply looked at it, and used Fire Punch to destroy the attack, Flame snuck up behind him in this time, and shot a Shadow Ball which shot Blazeyer upwards, Swirls and Swirly slid down to where he was standing, and quickly shot two Psybeams which propeleld him up further, Robert jumped high up, just above him.

"Eat this you swine." Robert used Hydro Pump, fully charged, and shot Blazeyer, sending him downwards, he kncoked and was sent in the ground, he began to cool, realizing he was being beaten at the moment, he immediately roared, and jumped up over ground, and yelled.

"D@mn you little brats! I've obviously played you for granted. Now I'm pissed off! Now you're all going to die! HERE AND NOW!" And with that, Blazeyer began charign something in his mouth, and while doing so, stodo on the pillar, and tentacles of lava came out, while Blazeyer was charging, they were used to fend off his foe as the attack charged, Blazeyer looked at them.

"This is the end of you." The tentacles shot at everyone, they began jumping around and using attacks to keep them away, it would never work forever. Robert then used Water Gun to solidify the tentacles, and Blazeyer, not noticing, shot a Water Gun, , which weakened him, and he turned around with anger, he thought, 'I'm not going to be able tofully charge at this rate. I'll have ti settle for this. Butin his condition, it's more than enough.' Blazeyer than shot a massive boiling, almost bomb like fireball, blazing heat and fire trails from where it was laucnehd, it directly hit Robert as his guard was down, he shot upwards by an explosion of fire, heat, and destruction, the attack's flaming mass of pain and heat was devastating, and fatal even for a Water Pokemon, Robert fell on the ground, limp, Blazeyer then looked at him, and laughed again.

"I'll have to admit it, he did manage to keep me busy, and was worth fighting, for a while. But I got bored of him. So it's fare I "formally" dispose of him. You little runts are next!" Blazeyer said, and he immediately shot a very large Flamethrower attack, everyone hid behind one of the large rocks, and they were close, the rocks may not hold out forever, and they needed a plan to stop Blazeyer. But with Robert down and out, there was no easy way of finding the way of beating him, and time was short. Swirls thought to himslef, trying to formulate a plan for this situation. Bubbasaur felt so useless. She would easily be killed by a fire attack. Suddenly, Swirls realized he had something his parents had gave him to use at a time like this.

"Listen, I have the answer. Hyper Beam, it's a TM, my parents gave it to me, but made me swear I would only use it when my bestest friends were in mortal danger, It's time." Swirls saidm he held out the disk, and used it with the TM Machine he had also recieved, Swirls then felt enchanted, and was ready. Swirls looked at everyone.

"If it has any chance, then do it." Joe said seriously, still hiding with Bubbasaur, the Flamethrower suddenly stopped, Swirls rolled out form his hiding place.

"It's over Blazeyer! Even if we both die. YYAAAGGGHHHHHH!" SWirls cried, she shot a huge beam of orange pure power, which enveloped Blazeyer, and he cried out in pain, the blast dispersed, but Swirls fell over, tired immeidately from the blast, Joe suddnely realized it: FRENZY PLANT. Roots blasted out form the ground and tossed and turned at Blazyer, trying to kill him, he simply enveloepd it with fire bursting form his body like porcupine spines, Blazyer walked up to Swirls, a little tired, he was about to grab him when Swirly saw, and immediately pushed him out of the way, being grabbed himself, Blazeyer than began to ignite his fist and began burning Swirly with his fury, Swirly roaring in pain, he threw Swirly over next to Swirls, who, along with Swirls, was out cold. Blazeyer then turned his attention to Swirls and SWirly, and walked over to them, fire charging in his mouth.

"It was a noble effort, but your time is up." Blazeyer said, and he puffed out his chest when suddenly a huge bomb of water struck him in the back, and blasted him away, he flew straight into the volcano, this time, it looked like it hurt, it was Robert! He really was still alive! He ran up to Swirls and Swirly, tears in his eyes a little, Swirly opened his eyes, and shook Swirls.

"Guys!?" Robert said, patting Swirls on the back, Swirls then jumped up and laughed. "Hey Robert, you saved us! We thought you were, well, "in the light"." Swirls said sarcastically. Everoyne came out to see Robert was really still alive and had saved everyone's lives. Meanwhile, on the mountain, a Pikachu was scratching itself, and laid back, it's name was Miley, and it had been sitting on the mountain near Ash Village for alot of the night, looking out at the island further, farther away. He had heard many crashes and bangs whic had startled him all night, he decided to go and check it out. Meanwhile, Blazeyer crawled up the pillar, sogging, he stood on top, limping, he did not attack. His eyes had changed from pure fury and anger to a more noble and generous outlook. He looked at them with interest.

"You did well. By working together as comrads and putting yourselves together, you discovered the true meaning of bravery and defeated the being that reprsents it. I know that you are after a way to destroy the Virususu, yes?" Blazeyer asked, his attitude changing, Swirls immediatelyt caught on.

"Yes!" He said, "Good. There is an Island off the shores of Rock Village called Hestolega, and it holds something of worth, the Holon Stone, the untold energys and powers within it may well be of interest. Then take it to the Highest Sage Alakazam, he is god like in knowledge, and can unravel your mysteries, inlcuding utilizing the Holon Stone for you. You have done well, and one last thing. Thank you, for reminding me what true bravery is. The world is now in your debt." And with that, he left.

"Oh, cr@p. Swirls said quickly after, he moaped, but Swirly did not stop him. Bubbasaur looked at him.

"What's wrong?" Bubbasaur asked.

"Firework expert there left out one tiny detail. He said the island wa Hestolega, but he forgot the "Island of Infinite Fury" part. It's name is the Island of Infinite Fury, Hestolega. It is filled to the brim with agressive fully evolved Pokemon that are mean and quick to kill, and will not hesitate either." Swirls said. But before anything else, all of a sudden, everyobe went out cold in a flamethrower. But it was not Blazeyer's it was not even red, it was green colored. Everyone was out cold. All that Swirls saw last were two figures, and a Pikachu...

Chapter 9: A Bloody Life

Swirls slightly opened his eyes to see a light beating down on him, and some medical equipment attached attached to him, and could hear a machine beeping his heart rate, and it slowly began increasing as he looked around to see all of his friends in the same condition he was, he apparently had been rescued by something, or someone, but there was a Pikachu in the same room, it's origins unknown. But Swirls had no time. and he looked outside the window, he turned pale. Outside wa sa forest, they were probably on the third or second floor of the building, it wa sa little small however. But it was immensely strange and horrific, as the sky outside was not normal colored. It was red. Dark red. a little like blood blending into the black background of the sky. It was terrifying, and things would only get worse from there on in. Swirls then stripped off the many suction cups and tubes that were attached to him, and came over to Swirly.

"Swirly, wake up, wake up!" he said as he shook him and shook him, Swirly opened his eyes and looked at Swirls, "nice timing..." he mumbled, he was probably having one of "those" dreams again. Then the two went around waking everybody up, and everyone woke up, and everyone got off their medical equipment, save for Flame, whose paws were still wrapped up in bandage, and he was tired. Miley got out of bed himself, and went over to Robert, who was now wide awake.

"What? What happened to you, to us?" He asked with a disturbed disposition, how did they end up in a hospital? It came out of nowhere at least, but the trees were so high up it was difficult to tell where they really were, but SWirls knew where they were, sinceh and Swirly have explored this island far and wide, and know places.

"This is Haven Forest, it has the most plant life in the world in a single place, but this, I've never seen anything like this, a hospital coming out of nowere is very strange indeed." He said with worry.

"Okay, but does that explain why I'm on a hospital bed?" Flame asked, showing his damaged paws, they would heal, but it would take some time for the wound to close up. Flame looked around.

"I don't really know." She said with a worried tone, so many odd things were happening, very odd, and dangerous things were happening, if this continues, this could have us all killed on the spot. Bubbbasaur was worried. Out of all places that should be safe, this place felt different. It was cold, disturbing, and as if nightmares were ready to happen.

"Flame? Are you okay? I didn't want anybody to get hurt protecting me..." She said sadly, her eyes shining with happiness, but dosed with sadness, suddenly the lights began flickering, and then turned off, the only light coming form the huge moon outside, then, laughing streaked the halls and echoed into the room in which everyone was. Everyone shuddered with fear, save for Joe, Bubbasaur looekd at the door.

"What was that!?" She said with worry, she didn't want anything else bad to happen to her friends, but it may already be too late, as the laughing continued, and when it stopped, it would simply happen again, Swirls then opened the door and looked down the halls, there was no light anywhere, he couldn't see much farther then a few meters, he fired two Psybeams down that hallways in an attempt to kill anything that might be a threat, he then immediately went back inside and shut the door. Flame tried to stand himself up, his bandages began getting smudges of red, he looked at Sam.

"There's n-nothing to w-worry about." he said pain enveloping his voice, he fel ldown on the bed, and tried to stop the bleeding by stopping movement. Suddenly, the door began slamming, something knocking on the other end of the door, everyone had their attention turned to the door, including Swirls, when a dark shadowy form slid and zig zagged acorss the floor, Swirls looked down to see it, but it was already too late. His will ebgan turning against him, his mind began thinking different thoughts, he was being possessed, and it quickly took over, Sam turned over and hopped on Flame's bed.

"No, you need to rest." She said with utmost care for Flame, Sam just decided to jump onto her bed and ready herself for whatever was at the other side of the door. Swirls, now possessed by whatever took him ove,r began walking towards Sam stiffly, Miley was outside in the corridor, havign wandered off when a Psybema shot down the hall, he had went to find the source of the laughing under Swirls nose. He saw some red eyes in the distance, glowing in the darkness. "Something evil..." he thought to himself. Suddenly, an evil hiss and chime filled the halls, and a Seviper and Chimecho immediately rushed head long towards Miley, he flashed his cheeks.

"Oh boy!" He yelled as he electrocuted the hell out of them and thye fell dead, he ran down the hallway. Sam noticed that Swirls was behind her, and she looked at him, not noticing the red eyes of his, his look had changed, and she didn't know why. Bubbasaur was running around frantically at the moment out in the hall ,shooting Razor Leaves the opposite direction of Miley, she couldn't see in all of this darkness. SAm looked at SWirls, and began speaking,

"Ah! Oh hello Swirls, you kinda scared me, please don't do that again." She asked nicely with her sweet voice, but suddenly she realized something was wrong with him. A Malovelent look overtook the usually kind and noble look of Swirls, his cold dead eyes staring into her's, she noticed that something was definitely wrong. "Um...are you Okay? You don't look too good." She said, she was caring for the other group members as normal, but she knew there was something wrong with Swirls, then suddenly, he smacked her on the floor and used Psybeam, and although it didn't hit her directly, the blast's shock waves sent her flying inot the hallway against the wall. Inside of Swirl's head, his own battle was taking place for control of his being. Then suddenly, realizing what he had done, he immediately pushed the Gengar that was controlling him out of his head and it jumped out the window snickering. Swirls fell on the floor, dazed.

"Um, what just happened?" She asked with worry, all she heard was the sound of a Psybeam, the sharp smack of a Kecleon's hand, and the impact of Sam into the wall. Sam's eyes were flooded with tears.

"I was possessed by a Gengar, it left though. This is getting more and more dangerous, we need to proceed with the plan, I think we should split up into two groups. Me, Sam, Flame , and Robert will stay here, and Swirly, Bubbasaur, and Joe will go out into the forest and seek Luminous Cave, where Alakazam is, the cave sohuld be about north from here, Swirly you know that." Swirls words flooded the room, and it was a while to take it all in. But Sam had not heard, as she had already ran away crying, down the hall ,she did not know where she was going, and she did not care where she was going.

"Sam?" She asked, she was the first to realize Sam had left. "Not again", she thought to herself, Swirly then jumped out the window and inot the trees, Joe followed, as they were without a choice, as thye were "encouraged" to go along.

"Wait!" Miley said, running into the room, she heard it all ,and wanted to come, and she jumped out with them to go find Alakazam.

"Actually, Bubbasaur, you stay here with Flame, Robert, you go along. I need to find Sam." Swirls said to everyone, and withotu a secodn look, he ran down the hallway, same as Sam, and then he saw Sam in the lobby of the hospital, and ran near her.

"Sam, I only attacked because I couldn't help it, a Gengar had taken control of me. But Sam was still whimpering the lobby, she thought Swirls truly hated her and wanted to kill her, but he didn't, but Sam would not listen, ni the hospital room, Bubbasaur and Flame simply sat there, they were slowly getting more and more tired, Flame immediately fell asleep, and Bubbasaur as well, two pairs of red eyes were at the other side of the room. They were Gengar, and began using Dream Eater...Swirls then noticed somehow, and ran bakc into the room, and upon sight, shot the Gengar with Psybeam, ending their lives, he ran over to them.

"Woah...I feel like somebody wa schewing on my head..." Bubbasaur said sluggishly." Swirls suddenly realized something, these Gengar were trying to get Sam isolated, not to hurt any of the other team, he realized Sam was all alone, and lights flickered back on. "D@mn." He said tom himself, running down the hall immediately. SWirly and his gang saw Luminous Cave, and began running towards it. Swirls ran down the hallway to see something horrific.

"Why..." A voice asked somewhere i the lobby, it seemingly came from nowhere, and SAm looked around, but there was nothing in the room. "Why what!? I don't know what you're talking about." She cried, and to everyone's horror in the room, blood began to accumulate itself into a single place, molding itself, and forming a Pokemon's shape.

It looked a bit like a Dragon, but was covered in feathers that were like leaves, leaf like tail, and a sharp hooked beak, it was the legendary Pokemon Cedahyer, Pokemon of life, guardian of Haven Forest.

"You......Killed...them...you..have disrespected...me.....now, you will die!"

Chapter 10: The Demon of the Wood

Darkness filled the hospital lobby as Cedahyer stood holding Sam in a death grip, squeezing her hold, Sam began to lose it. Cedahyer apparently had some kind of grudge against her, to lead the god of life to take one, it must've taken a mighty terrible to set off Cedahyer like that. However, Sam was not crying, but her eyes were fileld with sadness, Cedahyer's strangle hold, and Swirls could seemingly do nothing about it, he ran towards Cedahyer. She looked at him, and then a Vine Whip thrashed and caught him, and threw him flying into the wall, she turned ehr attention to Sam, Cedahyer still holding the wooden pike in her hands, she snickered, and raised it, ready to pierce Sam.

"Okay." Sam said without struggle. Swirls turned white and simply could not grasp the situation. "OKAY!?" Swirls tohught to himself. How could somebody just roll over and give up like this, fight back, do something, why was she hesitating, it mad Swirls madder and madder, he had to do something. Why was she doing this? Swirls thought back to the photos he saw of Sam, what they held in them, and thought that maybe this wa ssomehow linked to those photots, but how he was not completely sure. Sam then began tearing.

"Can I just say goodbye to my friends? One last goodbye?" She aske,d she started to cry, and Cedahyer tightened ehr grip, stopping Sam, but it was hard, as she continued to sob, Cedahyer laughed at Sam with her crude heartless laugh, this was no test, Cedahyer meant business, she wanted to kill Sam like this. Cedahyer knew things that Swirls, or most people for the record, did not. Cedahyer spit in Sam's face.

"HUH!? FOOL! YOU ARE A DEMON! YOU HAVE NO FRIENDS! YOU HAVE ALWAYS BEEN HATED!" Cedahyer held SAm straight in front of her, and got ready to pierce her with the pike, holding it deftly and straight, she put a dark smile on her face, as she liften it and swung it, suddenly, it was blasted out of her hand by a Psybeam, and SWirls caming running towards Cedahyer.

"Don't you dare lay a claw on my friend!!" Swirls said, using Slash, his claws began glowing, but Cedahyer simply used Vine Whip again, and caught Swirls before he had a chance to hit Cedahyer, he was an inche away. THen Cedahyer kicked him back into the wall again. She laughed.

"She's right. I am a demon!" Sam ran down the hallway crying.

Swirly and Joe, along with Robert were walkign up the stone staircase, and walked up slowly, Swirly watching his feet, Swirly knew that beyond this door was where the journey may end, but he stayed strong. He has met the Highest Sage once before, and Swirly turned to face his teammates, a stern look enveloping his face.

"Are you ready?" Swirly asked, puttign his hand on the doorknob, both Joe and Robert silently nodded their heads, yes. Swirly then turned the door knob and slowly opened, it creacked, the wooden door then shot aside, Swirly saw the Highest Sage levatating on his pedestal in fornt of a cauldron, he looked old for an Alakazam, his moustache much longer than most Alakazam, his forks were rusted, yet perfectly put together still. Alakazam was sittign with his eyes lcosed, levatating. He opened one eye.

"Hello Swirly, it is good to see you again. Your friends, and you, have came seeking advice, yes?" He asked, with his wilde, old voice, he coughed once and then closed his eyes again.

"How exactly did you figure that out?" Robert said, he was not very fond of people that seemed to be tougher than him. Robert smirked, and Alakzam flew downwards.

"Because, I know all that there is to know, but some things simply were not meant for mortal ears, such as yours." He said to Robert, smiting him, he snorted and turned away. Robert was not very happy from there on. "I trust your little conversation with Blazeyer, revealed to you the identity of Hestolega. It was once known as Holon Island, but that was before Shadower came, right now, he is the commander of the Virususu, and your friedns are ni danger, not by him howeve,r but by another legendary being, but Shadower is close, very lose to your friends, and if he gets any closer, he may end up taking the lives of your friends."

Joe's eyes went up when he heard that, and realized that he was talking about Sam, Flame, Bubbasaur, and Swirls, he turned to Swirly. "We ahve to help them Swirly!"

"No. I am not yet done. And even if you do leave to help, you would not make it in time. There is somebody already there to help your friends, she is powerful, and may just save their lives froim certain death. But now, I'm afraid I will need you to take this. It is the Haven Stone, my treasure I have kept for so long. The Holon Radar once shot out Delta Waves, but infetced by darknesss, it shot Virus waves which infected all of Hestolega. They're currently trying to amplify it's power and use it to take over all of the world with the Virus. This stone, when in your grasp, it will create a remedy to the virus and drive it out of your body, as well as keep the holon radar's virus waves from infecting you."

Swirly Joe and Robert came up the stone, and they all touched it, thye just gained an immunity to the virus waves at last, They then looked up at Alakazam, who was brushing his hands and continued waving his hands.

"Your friend Sam, she is not who you think she is. She is something you may never believe, but it is true. Sam is the daughter of the creator of Virususu, Apochlatyke. Se was created as a weapon, but failed in such use because of her kind and gentle attitude, they tried to kill her, but she escaped, and roamed the land, she held the power to control anyone she had ever infected, and that is why they were after her, thye needed to kill her so that she wouldn't raise an army against him. Wherever she went, she has infected people before, a smeans fo killing them, or as a means of using them to fight, and she loved it through and through. However, you gave her kindnes,s and she loved you all as friends so much, she tried to hide her secrets, but in the end, she will lose them all. I could tell you more, but more would simply be dishonorable, I was assigned to help you, and that is as much as I can let on...For now. Make your own choices, Swirly, Joe, Robert." And with that, Alakazam turned around and waved his hand, signalling them to leave.

"Swirly, Robert, do you really believe THAT!? He's just a crazy old man. Sure her fur is a tiny bit weird, but that doesn't mean she's one of those willless crazed monsters! Swirly!? You believe me! Right?" Joe really believed Swirly bought it, as the look on his face changed, and he had a new goal in mind, Robert joined him, and they began to march.

"Joe, she could've killed us at any time, what makes you think she won't hesitate to do it any time soon!?" Swirly yeld at Joe, Joe simply did not answer, and he knew trying to stop them would be a mistake, especially Robert. He would be terrified to fight two Pokemon stronger than him at the same time, even if they were his friends. He would simply have to hope this wasn't how it was going to end.

As Sam ran down the hall, the lights were now on, Cedahyer immediately followed throguh, and Swirls, he shot after her. Cedahyer was much faster than both Sam and Swirls, but Swrils was charigng something to save Sam's life perhaps. He shot a huge blast of orange and yellow energy straight at Cedahyer, blasting her upwards, she came down, she was hurt, but not out, she used Razor Leaf, and Swirls used Psybema to divert it, he then used Ancient Power, floor tiles shot at her, but she used Razor Leaf to stop the attack.

"You're strong! I will be honored to have the head of such a powerful warrior!" Cedahyer beseeched, She then decided to fight back, she then used Leaf Blade, and they began to fight in close quarters, Swirls using Slash as his weapon, he continued to fight Cedahyer, but the fight was getting nowhere. Then suddenly, an Anceint Power from the ieling tumbled on Cedahyer, she was then launched away by a Psybeam, Sam ran over to him, staying distant however.

"It's true, I'm a demon. I'm a Virususu." Sam said sadly, she confessed the truth. Then, Swirls, distracted, Cedahyer snuck up behind him and grabbed him in the air, and held out her branch pike.

"The death of Sam will be my avengeance for all the people she killed! Swirls death will merely please me!" She cried with laughter, a Shadow Ball suddenly struck her from behind which made her let go, and standing there was Flame, along with Bubbasaur who had rushed to Sam's side, Swirls came running back.

"Swirls, those villages that were destroyed, it was all because of me, I infected everyoen in them, and did it happily." Sam said, still crying, Swirls looked down at her with disbelief, but he may never be able to grasp the truth. Swirls rushed in towards Cedahyer, who simply kicked him, and used Stun Spore to stun him, she held him up in the air, SWirls then dropped a tear from his eyes.

"NIGHTY NIGHT SWIRLS!" She said, holding up her Branch Pike, she blasted a Stun Spore on everyone else to stop the mfrom interferring, Swirls had one final word to say, he dropped a tear, frowned, and said:

"Why..." Cedahyer stabbed the pike straight through Swirl's stomach, he screamed in pain, but then quickly silenced, she cut him through the stomach and threw his now dead, limp corpse on the floor, blood spattered all over the wall, and floor, she looked at Sam, and the others, and smiled. She laughed with satisfaction and a proud tone, she stopped and raise her pike.

"You're next!" Sam then got mad, and more mad, so angry and enraged, she lost Paralysis, and off guard, she jumped up and bit down on Cedahyer's arm, hard, and she tasted blood. The Virus had taken Cedahyer, and she freezed, Sam then controlled Cedahyer, she was just about taken over when she made Cedahyer do something that would end this nightmare: She stabbed herself in the stomach with the pike, and fell limp on the floor, truly dead...

Chapter 11: Bio Hazard

Today, the blood, the death, the horror of today scarred everyone, Flame, Bubbasaur, and Sam were crying to see Swirls had been killed by the God of Life, of all people of take a life, she had been the one to take the life of a noble, loving, soul who gave his life trying to protect a friend, despite the truth that enveloped her past. Sam was sad and angry at the same time, Cedahyer was still dead, limp on the floor, the pike through through chest, Sam reached into her supplies bag to try and revive him. She sprayed a Potion on the wound, and smiled, thinking it would work.

“Wake up Swirls!” She yelled, happiness, but she could never truly mask her feeling,s her ears dropped again, she gave him another Potion, and another, and more potions, but they were all useless. She then got the only Max Revive they had and sprayed it on Swirls, Sam sat there. If he were still alive, she could infect him and wake him up ,but there was on use. Flame and everyone else got out of their paralysis and came over to Swirls, Sam looked at him, and closed his eyes, as they were still open when he was stabbed and cut through, she began crying, one tear falling into his wound, Flame began crying as well, Sam came over to Swirl's head and kissed it. It was not that she loved loved him, but it was her final goodbye.

“G-goodbye Swirls...” She said, crying, everyone's tears then began to fall on Swirls, and he began to shine, his corpse shining, as more tears fell, he began shining even more and more. And Sam had noticed, taking look, the wound on his stomach began to close itself up, and his heart began beating again, and he was breathing! He opened his eyes to see everyone around him, and looked around, he saw that Cedahyer's corpse was nowhere to be seen, and looked at Sam. His eyes were filled with first confusion, and then happiness, he looked at Sam.

“Sam, Flame, Bubbasaur. Thank you.” Sam then smiled and tears in her eyes, she jumped on Swirls and hugged him, and everyone else followed through, Swirls stood up, and looked at Sam.

“Was, what you said, true Sam?” He asked, with true in his voice, her ears dropped, and she then looked a little sad.

“Yes, it is. But then I met you and Swirly! The first people to ever accept someone like me!” She hugged him again, and then Swirls looked around, and then looked at Sam.

“Where's Cedahyer?” Swirls asked, he still wanted to kill her, very badly. Then Sam looked at him.

“Cedahyer is dead.” She said to him. Then she looked at where her corpse was, and realized that she was not there anymore, suddenly, the wall of the hospital was blown through, and stood there was the shape of a Kecleon, it was Swirly, but Joe and Robert were nowhere to be seen, Swirly looked at Sam with anger and anguish. Swirly then fired a Psybeam at Sam, which she jumped out of the way just in time. Swirly then ran over to her and used Slash, but Swirls jumped in and sued Slash to divert the attack,

“What the hell are you doing!?” Swirls yelled with anger, trying to keep him away from Sam, he had obviously gone mad for some reason or another, Swirly kicked him high up in the air.

“Because she is an abomination!” Swirly yelled, shooting a Psybeam at Swirls, suddenly, Swirls used an attack he had never used before: Substitute. Swirls and Swirly switched positions and the attack hit Swirly on the spot.
“Oh yeah!” Swirls cried, he had mastered that technique at last, it was difficult one to use, he had finally managed to utilize it to it's full potential, he jumped up in the air, his fist up in the air as a sign of glory, Swirly was knocked and rolled over to where he had broke the wall, Swirly then stood up, and revealed something terrible. At first, he was standing at his side, but now, his skin was peeled off at one side, and in it was Cedahyer's half of a face, the rest of it peeled off and Cedahyer was standing there. She was somehow alive and well. It was impossible.

“H-how!? I thoguht y-you were d-dead!” Sam asked, shuddering, Cedahyer levitated upwards.

Yes, I bet you're wondering. You see, When you had infected me, I was able to keep myself from getting fully infected, although when I was issued a command by the virus part of me then, I myself stabbed myself on purpose, I removed my life force from the part of my body that was stabbed, and sat there limp until I had a diversion to escape and take the form of Swirly to fool you. But obviously, that failed. So here we are, standing like this, are you ready to die?” Cedahyer asked darkly, pulling out her branch pike, suddenly, an arrow of dark energy, pulsing with black fire, pierced Cedahyer's neck and she fell to the floor, headless and dead, for real. A dark figure came out of the hallway.

“Actually, are you ready to die?” He asked her corpse sarcastically, he laughed and turned to them, Sam hid behind Swirls with fear.

“That's Shadower, my father's commander. He controls the infected, there's nothing I can do against him!” She felt more useless than ever, but suddenly, the ceiling broke down, and Swirly and the others came down and attacked Shadower, sending backwards, Swirly turned to Sam.

“Sam, I'd never hurt you, you're my friend, Virus or not, I'll protect you with my life.” He cried as he fell back with the others, they were scrunched into a corner by Shadower, he shot a Flamethrower al lover the plac,e it was green, not red, and suddenly Swirls remembered he'd seen it before when he ended up in the hospital in the first place. He saw a figure similar to the one in front of him. It was a tall, large dark dragon, purple belly and black scales, four arms and curved horns on the sides of his hea,d huge sharp teeth and eyes filled with evil and death, he was a fearful being. And just when it looked like they would have to fight something that powerful, the ceiling broke again, Alakazam, The Highest Sage came out and sent Shadower into the wall using Psychic, and breaking the wall behidn them, he pointed outside.

“Leave now! I'll hold him off so you can escape and get to Hestolega! When I told you someone was going to aid you, I meant it. I foresaw this, and accept my fate the way it is. You are not ordinary Pokemon, you are the Pokemon that will save this world, I saw it in my readings! LEAVE!” He yelled, using Psychic a bit to push them back ,the two began clashing, and the others ran off, Swirls leading the gropu, Rcok Village was in sight by the time they had left fifteen minutes ago, they saw it too was in ruins, but again no infected.

“To Hestolega!” Swirls cried, sticking up his fist when they had escaped Haven Forest, they discovered it was Morning, they looked around, and saw the deserted Rock Village in the distance, in ruins, they could in fact see the Island, faintly, it appeared large, but it was still part of Pokemon Island's mysterious aura field, it could not be sensed, even by Cody, only those in tune with the island itself can sense it's aura emanating. Hestolega was seduced by the dark infected ones., and gradually began to lose it's power. Hestolega now remains a dark stronghold for the, well, dark, but that is not stopping Swirls and company from making it to the bleak deserted island, Swirls and Swirly found a large boat, comfortable enough, they began loading supplies on the boat, one after another to last for how long they could be out there. Who knows? All that they knew was that the Island was going to be a challenge for everyone. The fact was, they had never went into the actually cabin. They walked up to the door, and breathing was on the other side.

“What is it?” Flame asked, Swirls came over to it, and was about to open it, and the blink of an eye, a Persian hopped out, black and red, instead of tan, it growled,

“Oh boy...”
