Banned pokemon

After a talk with a couple co-officials we all agreed some pokemon were overpowered. Some of you might think that would be Charizard, Alakazam or Snorlax, but after some testing we realised that those were actually Butterfree, Beedril, Ninjask and Shedinja....

So from now on, using those 4 mons is forbidden in URPG matches and for those of you who own these 4 mons and think this isnt fair.....

Why are you so surprised?

Come on! How do you expect the likes of ordinary powered Pokemon to compete with Butterfree's brutal movepool. Look sleep powder + whirlwind = PWNT!

Shedninja is immune to alot of moves, it is too unfair. Do you want people abusing it? If not then stand by our decision.

No. Banning a few moves wasnt an option.

Let me explain with Shedinja....

Shedinja was banned cause of her immunity to damage. Some of you might say that bug gets KOd from a single hit. Thats true, if you hit it and if its s/e. Now the thing is, s/e moves with shedinja dont work normally. Shedinja is bug/ghost so a fire move would be s/e on it. However, with light screen on, a fire move does half its damage, so its not actually s/e anymore, its normal damage. So basically, turn 1 light screen, turn 2 reflect, and you have 3 turns to do whatever you want to your opponent. And when you reach turn 5 you just restart light screen/reflect. So after turn 1 you wouldn't be able to do anything anymore to shedinja... Same goes for Rain dance and such... Also saves shedinja from fire moves.....

So, concerning the other three bug pokemon besides Shedinja, were there other factors besides the "sleep powder + whirlwind = PWNT!" fiasco?

Meh, who knew bug pokemon had such ownage over the other types.

Oh yes, speaking if it came to worst-case scenario:

For those who chose one of those bug pokemon in a pre-evolved form as a starter and so far have no other pokemon - will they be allowed to trade it in for a legal starter?
