Genderless Pokémon can only breed with Ditto.

No genderless pokemon can ever breed, not even with a ditto. Ditto can breed with male and female pokemon, thus making ditto the only genderless pokemon that can breed. Latias nor Latios can breed. They are male and female, but the game designers choose not to allow them to breed. A male + male cannot breed. A female+female cannot breed. A female and male can breed, if they are the same type. eg. A pikachu and pikachu can breed, and pikachu+ raichu can breed. A pichu cannot. Think of breeding like in real life. genderless pokemon are like electonics. Can they breed? No. Can babies (1st evoulutions) breed? no . Can a women+ women breed? no. Can a male and male breed? no. Can a male and female breed? YES. If you are confused, you can just post again.

The two Pokemon need to be in the same Egg Group. not the same type to be able to breed. Other than that, I don't believe that it is possible to breed a Starmie and Staryu as you are inquiring.

#1: you can't breed a genderless pokemon with a Ditto
#2: they have to be in the same Egg Group.

Staryu is NOT a Gender Pokemon. The percentages of male or female is 0%, therefore it is genderless.

Wow. This is pretty heated. Actually, ditto can breed with any pokemon other than legendaries. Even if they are genderless. I have spent a significant amount of time breeding, and have bred ditto with multiple genderless pokemon, such as beldum...

What a heated argument .
Now, to clear things up;
- You CAN breed genderless pokemon, but ONLY with Ditto.
- Ditto CANNOT breed with genderless Legendaries.
- Pokemon that breed must be in the same EGG GROUP, not the same SPECIES.

Are we all happy?
