Are there any secerts in Ruby/Saphire that are really important?

Yes, but I am not going to sit here and write a book about the game. If you want to find out stuff, read other threads, PLAY THE GAME, or find online guides. I am not trying to be rude, but don't expect everyone to come to you, and tell you everything about the game. I'll throw in one thing: if you find a pokemon that you would like to train to be very powerful, don't use a lot of rare candies on it. They sound great, but a well trained pokemon is much stronger, than a pokemon that uses rare candy. Ask other people about EV's (I don't feel like going in to an in depth discussion about it.)
