CHAPTER ONE: NEW STUDENTS!
Students in all grades lined up in fromt of the clear, glass door. The large building had a sign that read "Zennis High". The Zennis High was located in Chalice Town, Zennis Region. The large, gold bell ringed as thousands of students ran into the building. The High School was painted a bright white color, with tainted windows. It was about seven stories tall, and the front yard was about 5 acres.
The "rush" was as fast as a hungry Arcanine.
A sophomore named Riley Stamford shuddered as he saw Pete King and his Ariados staring at him blank in the eye.
Riley had blue, spiky hair with black highlights. He wore a crimson colored headband. He had a T-shirt that had flames around it. His jeans were black. His sneakers were red and white and a round, black bookbag was over his back.
A Charmander poked his head out of the bookbag. Riley looked over his shoulders, the Charmander had a small black cap on his head.
"Charmander, get back in the bag. If a teacher sees you outside of Battling Class, she'll take you away..." Riley said looking back at Charmander.
"Chaar!" Charmander moaned.
Mrs. Trackenby, the Sophomore Class 256, walked by. She directed her wide, black eyes to Riley. She seemed to notice that Charmander was outside of his pokeball.
She showed him a strict smurk, and ignored Charmander. Riley could tell that she meant to put Charmander in his pokeball. Charmander stared at Mrs. Trackenby as she walked away and Riley pushed Charmander into the black bag.
Students walked into their new classes trying to beat the "rush". The "rush" was when thousands of students ran into the classrooms making it easier to get run over by.
Riley ran as fast as he could to beat the "rush" but someone had grabbed his bookbag. It was Pete King!
"Hey! Dufus, why don't you come with me for a while!" Pete said chuckling.
Riley tried to get some attention so Pete could get in trouble. Bu, nothing would work.
Riley was now being dragged acrss the crowds by his black bookbag.
"I could always take my bookbag off and run, but then Charmander... CHARMANDER!" Riley thought.
A girl with a black T-shirt and navy blue jeans walked up to Pete. She had black hair down to her shoulders, green eyes, and tanned, light brown skin.
"Leave him alone, Pete! Why do you always pick on poeple?" the girl spoke out.
Pete let go of his grip and walked away, angrily. He thumped while he walked.
"Hi my name is Marina! What's yours?" the girl spoke up trying to shake Riley's hand.
"Riley... thanks for the save." Riley said scratching the back of his head.
All the students were now in their classes, and Riley and Marina were the only people left in the deep, empty hallways.
Riley looked around and saw complete emptiness, well except Marina. He checked his Poketch, or his Pokemon Watch and checked the time.
It was 9:00 AM! By the time Riley looked back up, Marina was gone.
He grabbed his bookbag and slowly walked to class.
"Mr. Stamford! Why are you late?!" Ms. Trackenby barked.
"Umm... I overslept... and I had to eat brakfast at home..." Riley said, confused.
"Oversleeping is no excuse, Mr. Stamford! Now go into your seat!" Ms. Trackenby shouted with a fierce look.
Riley took his bag and went to his seat in the back of the class. He was sitting next to his best friend, Gabriel and another boy named Jonas.
Gabriel was tall and thin. He wore a green T- shirt with a white star on it. He also wore beige shorts and a green Poketch. His hair was between the color white and blonde. His bookbag was fairly brown. He had three pokemon. Riolu, Turtwig and Fearow.
Jonas was very quiet and short. He was an orphan, adopted by a young couple who always wanted a child. He wears a grey sweater and black sweatpants. He had only a very shy Chimchar.
First period was Math. Ms. Trackenby wrote a simple problem on the board to get our memories refreshed:
A Pokemon Center can hold 1,000 pokemon. If there were 500 trainers and they each had the same amount of pokemon, How much pokemon do they have?
"This is so easy!" Jonas blurted out.
"Jonas opens his mouth..." Gabriel whispered chuckling.
Jonas looked around the room staring at every face that hit his eyes. Now he was embarresed.
"Stop all this nonsence, and Jonas, please... NEXT TIME RAISE YOUR HANDS!" Ms. Trackenby said.
Jonas put his head down in shame.
"Can anyone answer this and RAISE THEIR HANDS this time!" Ms. Trackenby said.
Gabriel raised his hand and said, "Each trainer would have 2 pokemon, Ms. Trackenby."
"Thank you, Gabriel." Ms. Trackenby said smiling at Gabriel in delight.
Riley looked over to Gabriel. He was chuckling reading a piece of scrunced up paper.
"What is that?" Riley whispered over to Gabriel.
Gabriel handed the scrunched up paper to Riley. Riley opened it and it said,
Jonas has a crush on Mary!
Mary was a junior and she had red hair. Freckles were all over her body.
Riley chuckled but stopped after he noticed Ms. Trackenby staring at her in the eye.
Ms. Trackenby walked up to Riley with a strict look on his face.
She took the crumbled paper and said, "Passing notes, aye? Mr. Stamford, thats strike two... One more and thats detention!"
Riley gave her the note and she threw it out into the smelly garbage near her desk.
He gave Gabriel a funny look, about to burst out in laughter. He didn't.
"Please take out your Math Textbooks, students. We will be learning about..." Ms. Trackenby said.
Riley grabbed his bookbag and went into the large, blue hallways. Students rushed to their next room, Battling Class!
CHAPTER TWO: BATTLING CLASS!
Riley rushed himself to the large field on the east wing of the school.
"Hey Riley! Wait up for me!" Gabriel called out trying to get past the large crowd of people.
"Okay!" Riley said looking back at his blonde haired friend.
As they walked, Charmander popped out of his bookbag. He sniffed around the air and nodded his head.
There was trouble! Pete King and his Ariados were heading towards the gym in front of the crowd. The frightened girls screamed and ran backwards to get farther away from Ariados.
Pete just laughed out loud with his terrible yell.
Riley ran towards the exit of the building in which the Battlefield was located, with his best friend Gabriel rushing behind him.
"We have to hurry up! Or Pete King is going to get us!" Gabriel said rushing ahead of Riley.
"I know I know!" Riley said yelling at the large crowd of students in which had the same situation as him.
Charmander peeked out of Riley's round black bookbag.
Riley pushed his head back in the bag.
Riley fell on the floor of the now empty hallways. He had bumped into a student!
It was a boy who had a black T-shirt and black pants. He had a black bookbag which was very similar to Riley's. His hair was pitch black and spiky.
"Hey! What was that for!" the boy yelled getting back up.
"Oh... Sorry!" Riley responded scratching the back of his head.
"Its okay... But I have to go..." the boy said rushing towards a Senior Class.
"Wait! What is your name?! Mine is Riley!" Riley said looking at the black haired boy.
"Uhh... Citrus..." he said looking very shy.
Riley waited a while and went into the Battlefield.
Mr. Cherubini, the Battling teacher was very angry.
"WHY ARE YOU LATE?!" Mr. Cherubini said his face turning red.
"I bumped into someone..." Riley said, embarressed walking to his bleacher.
"Hmph!" Mr. Cherubini said turning his face away.
Gabriel sat besides Riley with his favorite pokemon, Quilava.
Mr. Cherubini flipped a small switch connected to a large scoreboard.
The scoreboard lit up and there was a picture of everyone in the class. The board shuffled the pictures uop and paired them randomly.
"I hope I get to face Daniel..." Gabriel said to Riley staring at the scoreboard with great exitement.
"...Yeah, all he has is a weak Smeargle!" Riley added on laughing histerically.
Riley looked down at the small Pokeballs clipped onto his belt.
"You're going to do great guys!" Riley whispered to the Pokeballs in which his pokemon had been in with a smile on his face.
The scoreboard had now shuffled everyone into pairs to battle with.
"Yessss!!" a girl in the bleachers shouted out once she saw that she would be facing Daniel.
Daniel was very short, about 3"7. He had green eyes and pale skin. His hair was curly and light brown. He wore a white T-shirt with no sleeves and gray sweatpants.
Riley just nodded and looked back at Gabriel once he found out he was battling his best friend, Gabriel.
Unlike Riley, Gabriel was shocked.
"Hey Riley... Are you going to go easy on me because we're friends? I'm not..." Gabriel said looking a little worried about Riley.
"No, I wouldn't be a real
friend if I let you off the hook like that..."Riley replied.
Gabriel didn't answer back, but instead he just looked at the battle on the field.
"The first battle is Garf vs. Megan! Begin!" Mr. Cherubini said in his best announcer voice.
Garf had dark red hair and freckles. He wasn't much of a people person due to the fact that he is very mean. A raggy brown T-shirt hung over him. He wore patched up shorts that were red. The red color on the shorts were fading away.
"Murkrow! Get 'em!" Garf said throwing a blue pokeball with two red stripes on it in the air.
Garf's raggy shirt blew in the powerful winds. His hair flew right into his face.
"Skittles! Please battle!" Megan said throwing her pokeball in the air.
A small pink cat with a sandy colored stomach appeared. It was a Skitty. She wore a baby blue ribbon on her neck.
Megan wore a matching ribbon in her hair. It was baby blue like Skittles'. A long pink dress covered her body. She also wore white sneakers.
Skittles smiled at Megan.
"Skitty! Skit!" she said. Her pink tail was wagging, like a happy kitten.
Garf's Murkrow had a mean look on his face. His broom like tail just moved slowly.
"Okay, now! Skittles! Please use Bite!" Megan commanded.
Skittles moved swiftly across the field trying to attack Murkrow. She snuck up behing Murkrow and BAM!!
Skitty inserted her small teeth into Murkrow's tail.
"Owww! That's gotta hurt!" Gabriel yelled out with his Mime. Jr mimicking him.
