Ember watched the jet-black night skies as they faded away slowly. Her head lay on the dewy, rich grass. Her deep azure eyes glinted. She was outside her yard after another argument with her parents about stupid things. Being eleven, she wasn’t sure what the world had in store for her. Her long chocolate-brown hair even gave off a little shine. She watched as the dark slate grey clouds drifted slowly by, and then, she seen a small glimpse of light dashing through the air at a great speed. She closed her eyes slowly, knowing in her heart it was a falling star.
“I wish… I wish… I wish I could leave this word, somehow, someway, just make me leave this world, sometime today.” She thought to herself peacefully.
Her eyes shut, and she went into a deep slumber of serenity. Her breathing began to get heavier, and soon, there was no pulse or movement in her body at all. Then, suddenly awoke, to a snow white opening. She saw some lush green grass surrounding a sapphire coated pond, which had small sea green coloured lily pads floating on its calm surface.
“Hey!” shouted a small, peppy voice. She turned her eyes to a small blue penguin-like animal. It looked like a Pokémon. Its big round eyes were filled with curiosity. “Who are you, Pikachu?” it replied again, making a rhyme out of it’s speech.
“Pikachu? Me?” Ember asked the small figure with a puzzle look on her yellow head. She glanced down at her body, and seen an electric yellow coat surrounding whatever human remains were left of her besides her brain. She put her small, stubby paws on her strong red cheeks and squeezed them. “Oh my gosh! I’m a Pikachu!?” she screeched anxiously, being very confused and worried at the same time.
“Uh, yes.” The small Pokémon replied with a weird look on its face. “I’m Piplup, but you can call me Mumble.” He replied politely.
“Oh… I’m Ember.” She replied, stuttering on her soft voice. “Also, do you think we could go somewhere public, so I can ask what happened?” she added sharply.
“What do you mean, ‘what happened?’ like?” Mumble asked confusedly, “What happened?”
“Well, I’m not really a Pikachu. See, I’m a human. Not a Pokémon…” Ember replied weirdly, not making much sense in Mumble’s opinion.
“Oh, well I don’t really understand your situation, but I bet if we take it to Town Square we’ll find an answer!” The Piplup replied informatively.
They both walked off, side by side in the deep orange sunset. Mumble’s sky blue, damp coat looked really beautiful as he wadded, and Ember’s yellow, lightning-shaped tail bobbed up and down as she walked.
