ONLiNE ETIQUETTE?
i have another rant.
i find it extremely irritating when i'm in the middle of a battle and somebody decides to start watching and then feel they can make little comments regarding the pokemon in use. it's rude. i'm trying to battle and form strategy and they come along flapping their mouth, giving tips to my opponent initiating conversation with my opponent or my personal favourite: "Hey corey wanna battle me next??". Some people have no concept of competetion.
When somebody comes in to watch and then he and my opponent begin a conversation i feel like walking away. just slap me in the face. Can people not give you the attention you deserve during a battle? i feel it's rude to start talking to your friends, right in front of me, while we battle. Like, are you so good that you can battle me with your back turned?
Some people are just buttholes and they will actually talk trash about you while you're battling. i'm not talking about opponents because that i can understand; there's nothing wrong with a little trash-talk amongst competitors. But i've been beaten by somebody who minutes later came into another battle i was having and began spouting off about how much i sucked to my opponent.
When i watch a battle it's usually because i want to challenge one of them and i'm curious how much longer it'll go on. Sometimes i'm just bored and i want to watch, maybe pick up a pointer or two. in any case- whether i know either of them or not- i always keep quiet and let them go at it. it's just respectful, isn't it?
i know i can simply 'Disallow Spectators' but i don't want to have to. i don't mind spectators as long as they watch quietly. Anybody else have thoughts?

Re: ONLiNE ETIQUETTE?
It's true, but unless you had mod/admin powers, or disallow spectators, what else can you really do? In the previous version spectator chat is a side option that's disallowable, is it still in 0.94?

You can complain and whine about it . Yeah, you can disallow them and even ignore them when they show up. But i don't mind people watching so i never disallow it. it's just ignorant when they do all that stuff and it bugs me. Has it ever happened to you?

Re: ONLiNE ETIQUETTE?
I stopped NBing soon after RS came out. One of the reasons was that I couldn't be bothered to learn RS, really, and the other was that there's freaking 50000000 new users to NB, and not all of them were cool peeps that I met on GSC =/

Re: ONLiNE ETIQUETTE?
I don't mind spectaters either, but I remember, this guy came in, and started flaming my team. I got somewhat upset, and left the server, Gyarados' Lair. Soon after, I came back, I got help by that person who flamed me, then battled.
This random came in and kept going, "Omg!!111 You's picked Dragonite!!!111 On BOTH your teams!!111" That was annoying. >__>
Most of the time I LOVE spectaters, if they talk nicely to both battlers. Because, I talk to both, my opponent and watchers. I say stuff like, "FLAME EVOLVED AT LEVEL 101 AND FELL DOWN A LEVEL!!" to make people laugh, because I am funny.
Sometimes, when I watch, I sit there, and ignore. Sometimes I cheer for both opponents, ect.

that's exactly what i'm talking about tamer. it is rather annoying. sometimes spectators are fun to have around in friendly battles when both you and your opponent can laugh at eachother's bad luck, etc. when they come along and start acting like a punk, it's less fun.
