Default Best Electric Pokemon (Fire Red)

I need to know what the best electric pokemon is in fire red excluding legendaries so that I can make the best team possible for myself. The pokemon I am thinking about are: Raichu, Jolteon, Electabuzz, Magneton, and Electrode. Please give me your opinions on which is best. Thanks!

I'll rank your choices in terms of the best combination of Special Attack and Speed (stats from Serebii.net)

1. Jolteon - Sp. Atk: 350 - Speed: 394
2. Magneton - Sp. Atk: 372 - Speed: 262
3. Electabuzz - Sp. Atk: 317 - Speed: 339
4. Raichu - Sp. Atk: 306 - Speed: 308
5. Electrode - Sp. Atk: 284 - 416

I've always used Jolteon myself but if you don't mind having a slower electric type, Magneton is probably the way to go (plus Jolteon is overused so Magneton would be kinda original as well).

Zapdos.

It has great special attack as well as pretty good defensive stats that allow it to switch in on a lot of common threats.

Well, I have had a raichu in my LeafGreen. I am doing pretty well with it. I found it as a pikachu in the Viridian forest, at level 3, and I have grown it up to level 47. ( I just beat the 8th Gym leader) And Raichu's static ability has helped me quite a bit along the way. But then again, Jolteon has Volt Absorb. But Raichu can learn Dig, which helped me A LOT. Can Jolteon learn Dig?

Raichu is vastly overrated and overused.

Jolteon is fast and it's stats are pretty good overall. It's special attack and special defense are also good; and it's other stats are sufficient if you know how to battle strategically and aren't a complete n00b at battling.

Electabuzz has sufficient stats all across the board. It's speed and special attack are quite good, but the rest of it's stats are quite mediocre. Also note, it can only be found later on in the game- much later on.

Magneton has it's high points and it's low points. It's defense and special attack are great, but the rest of it's stats are quite sub-par.

Electrode has amazing speed and decent stats all-around for the rest of his stats. Nothing great, just a mediocre Pokemon.

I always pick Jolteon just because I like it's stats the best for my personal preference, and it's a good Pokemon. You get it a little under halfway through the game, and it comes in handy at many times against water-type Pokemon. Jolteon is the Pokemon I would recommend.

I would say Jolteon, nice stats, and good move-pool.

I know Pikachu, compared to Jolteon and those sounds silly. But it helped me with the 2nd gym and Erika's gym when all I had were water-types. (yay spammy fishing rod) So, in my opinion, Pikachu.

Pikachu isn't that easy. :/ Its pretty hard, only 5% chance. THe same rate as finding one with a light ball. So, a sheiny pikachu with a light ball, you would be the luckiest person on earth. :P

Yes, he can. And if you don't think he can, you can teach it to Eevee then evolve it. Walla.

BTW, that was from mudkipboi.

Anyway, I used a PIka/rai chu. They are good in the beggining, and even better for begginer trainers. Although, Jolteon, is the best in my opinion, as it can learn Double Kick, for the Ground types, and can fair well against Sabrina's gym with pin missle.

PIka and Rai are good for first times, since it gets a nice moveset, but jolteon, is just a harder thing to dela with.

But, if you want an even harder challenge, Magneton. Its not the best pokemon.

Electabuzz is good, but agian, it only has a 5% chance to find. Since you have FR, it is still 5% xD

But yeah, if your a begginer, and a animie fanatic, go for the Pika/Rai. If you want an even better mon, go for the Jolteon. :P

dont forget that magneton can get punished by water, so if it doesnt one hit a stronger water type, game could be over.
