Hitmonlee or Hitmonchan?

I prefer Hitmonlee. The only reason I like Hitmonlee more is because Hitmonchan looks like it is wearing a skirt.

Just letting everyone know that I picked hitmonlee. A lot more of my friends like hitmonlee and the moves sound cool. Thanks for the input everyone!

Yeah...Hitmonlee come with great speed and attack but lacks defend...

I think Hitmonchan is cooler but I think Hitmonlee is better. So it depends

Well it is up to you to decide, but since Hitmonchan can learn Ice, Thunder, and Fire Punch, I think he is a good choice.

Hitmonlee, on the other hand, has a strong attack but requires Focus Energy to be useful.

lol this is 3rd gen and as a result those moves are useless to hitmonchan as they use his pathetic special attack status. I would go for hitmonlee indefinatey from those two but for a fighting type machamp is what I recomend.

But anyways, I chose Hitmonchan for mine, because of the fact that it doesnt have moves that hurt itself if it misses *coughcoughhighjumpkickandjumpkickcoughcough*.

Plus, in addition to that coughing spurt, doesnt retaliation damage (ie confusion and the jump kicks) depend on the attack and defense of the pokemon that is under the condition? In other words, if Hitmonlee's high attack were to come into play under a missed High jump kick, wouldnt it take more damage than a Hitmonchan with the same EV's using the same moves? (Obviously to get high jump kick on a hitmonchan you'd need to breed to a tyrogue and then evolve it) Because out of the pair, Hitmonchan has higher defense, right?

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Hitmonlee is big on defense and Hitmonchan is big on attack, and it all depends on what your using it for. Hitmonchan can learn the elemental punches. If your using it for in-game purposes take Hitmonchan and if you're using it for competitve purposes, take Hitmonlee.

Both are great contenders! Hitmonchan has his/her variety of punches, yet Hitmonlee has seemingly stronger kicking attacks such as Hi Jump Kick.
