That leaves Staravia. Not a very convincing Pokemon until it's a Staraptor.

I completely agree with the first two, although I think that Staravia is stronger than Noctowl. Ash's Noctowl is veryyy lame.

Re: Weakest among Ash's Bird Pokemon?
The only thing I remember about Noctowl is that it learned like Confusion in the middle of the battle. It was weird. Anyway Pidgeot is the strongest since it protects an entire forest. Swellow's okay though the stupid Mossdeep gym battle made me wanna kill it. And Staravia could go in any direction.
Probably Noctowl was the weakest, but only cause it got no air time.
Also what about Charizard, Gliscor, and Butterfree?

They weren't really "bird" Pokemon, if you think about it. :|
I'd have to say Swellow. I haven't seen any DP episodes, so I don't know of Staravia. But out of Pidgeot, Noctowl, and Swellow, Swellow definitely sucks the most. Pidgeot just owned throughout the entire first series, and Noctowl got loads of cool attacks like Hypnosis and Confusion. ;D

I beg to differ. Big time. For starters, it's not every day you see a normal flying bird actually resist electricity. many are just fried by it. Check the Pokeringer competition episode (where it also went through a tornado or something and got the ring after evolving in there; how many base form birds even dare to just try that?), and the episode where Ash gets his 7th Hoenn badge. Of course, if you can prove that all of his other bird Pokemon could also do that, I'll admit defeat, but until then, my point stands firm. With proof. Apparently everyone but me overlooked that, even after I posted the same thing TWICE before this. Sigh.

Lol typo error. BTW, Noctowl as an owl Pokemon is nocturnal (i.e it's active at night and sleeps in the day), so that's natural you'd think that way since Ash and co travel in the day.

Id just find out that Ash's Noctowl is smaller than normal ones, and Ash's Pidgeot is larger than those in Sinooh Region..

Re: Weakest among Ash's Bird Pokemon?
Noctowl, Because unlike Pidgeot or Swellow, I don't remember Noctowl ever battling in an elite 4 type of tournament and staravia has the potential to be as good as pidgeot.

Re: Weakest among Ash's Bird Pokemon?
Hmmm.......
Staravia seems to be the weakest, but when he evolves, he'll be strong.
Sadly, i'm gonna have to say after Staravia evolves, Noctowl will be the weakest.
It goes in this order of strength, the last being the weakest.
1. Pidgeot
2. Staraptor
3. Swellow
4. Noctowl
I like Noctowl.
I was thinking of putting Swellow in the second part, since he withstood lots of lighting. But, I decided that Staraptor would defeat him in combat.

Re: Weakest among Ash's Bird Pokemon?
Noctowl was by far the weakest of all the bird Pokemon he had. Staravia is going to evolve into a big powerhouse Staraptor.
