Ah...thanks for the clarification there. I also know it isn't easy, but definately easier than chaining seeing as I happen to be extremely horrible at that.

Method two would take forever and doesn't guarantee the right nature. I'd rather go with Method 1. It is possible to attain your SID IF you've caught a non-chained shiny. I had done this while I was fishing so all I had to do was find the PID using the IVs of that Shiny pokemon. Once I did that, I took my Trainer ID and PID and I used it on a Japanese calculator to get my 8 SIDs.

The hard part about this is that if you don't have an AR, you have to find the IVs of the pokemon you're breeding using Rare Candies. =(

EDIT: Oh and this method DOES work. I hatched a shiny Ralts with it but the IVs were horrible.

Well, one, I don't have AR, two, I'm not crazy about natures and stuff like that, there are just certain pokemon I would like to have shinies of.

really now? a pokemon's nature plays a big role in the pokemon's stats.

Honestly, I don't get the whole stats stuff. I just take my pokemon and play. Keep it fairly simple--keep it from getting all crazy and complicated, then I'd really drive my brother and sister nuts!

Shroom, there is one thing i need to ask.
this trick messes with the frame rate of the game on startup, which tweaks
the chances of hatching a shiny - but what about the next randomly encountered
pokemon in general? i would think so, because its the RNG, which not only has to do
with hatched pokemon, but wild pokemon as well. would it work for that?
because then you could guarentee a shiny legendary that way. and that would be great
as great could be. :)

well, now that I think about it, theres prolly a different RNG reporter for wild pokemon
rather than eggs.
It'd make it easier for catching shiny legendaries! :D

are you sure? it appears to be a different reporter, which would give different results.
im pretty sure this is a different RNG reporter that is specifically for wild pokemon,
not for eggs.

I wanna try and use this method, but I can't figure out how to activate it, whenever I try to extract, it'll be an error, when I try to run it, it's an error again... Help?

Oh, and the method 2, I believe it also works in Diamond and Pearl. I got a shiny torchic after 60+ eggs.
