Default Grader Wages: 5/23 - 6/25

Yeesh, sorry for the lateness, folks. I don't even have a good excuse, really, but please forgive me. Or don't. WHATEVER.

As usual, everyone's sorted alphabetically, and total dough earned is in green. And this is one of those particular difficult times to do wages, since there are grades being deleted left 'n right for all the competition mumbo-jumbo. I think I got 'em all, but just lemme know if I missed something or miscalculated. If you've got questions about why you received what you did, or if you'd like some help improving, then come talk to me over messenger. Otherwise, go crazy.

bryceBAM: $8,500
$8,500 Moderate - Kristy, Are You Doing Okay?

Cipher Lord: $2,600
$2,600 Basic - Birds of a Feather

DarkGardevoir: $11,000
$5,500 Moderate - A Taste Of Reality
$5,000 Moderate - Eterna Forest
$500 Weak - A diamond in the... Trash?

Draconic_Espeon: $8,100
$5,500 Moderate - A Trip to Eterna Forest
$2,600 Basic - World Spinning Around

Galleon: $20,000
$20,000 Extensive - Behind Closed Doors

Jack of Clovers: $22,500
$17,500 Moderate - Malevolent Shadows. Buried treasure!
$5,000 Moderate - Mawile vs. Magikarp

Limelight: $2,400
$2,400 Basic - Icy Challenge

Necromancy: $5,500
$5,500 Moderate - Water Works

Nikki the Mew: $15,800
$3,200 Basic - Tides of Tradition
$3,000 Basic - Rescue, or be Rescued
$3,000 Basic - A Dragon Flies?
$2,400 Basic - Attacking the Odds
$2,200 Basic - The Guardian - Chapter 2
$2,000 Basic - Dr. Phil Gewd

Phantom Kat: $73,000 Gah, the math!
$12,500 Moderate - Digital Realm
$10,000 Moderate - Malfunctions Part 1: Shiver Seas ...Not quite Complex, but I gave you an extra $2k for this one, 'cuz it looked rather painful.
$8,000 Moderate - It's Show Time
$8,000 Moderate - Night At The Hotel: The Missing Gible
$6,500 Moderate - The Viridian City Pokemon
$6,000 Moderate - In the Night
$6,000 Moderate - The Great Escape - Chapter 3
$6,000 Moderate - The Ruins - Journal of a Trainer
$5,000 Moderate - Mystery at Karp Lake [Section 1]
$3,000 Basic - New Beginnings
$2,000 Basic - Bug Candy in the Blistering Heat

poke123: $6,500
$6,500 Moderate - The Magnetic Raider

Tyranitar_Trainer: $22,500
$6,500 Moderate - Misled
$6,000 Moderate - The Regi Temple
$5,000 Moderate - Footsteps, pt. 1
$5,000 Moderate - Mawile and Team Aqua

U-B-E-R: $19,700
$8,000 Moderate - - The Mysterious Oasis -
$7,500 Moderate - Rest In Peace
$2,200 Basic - Poochyena Problems
$2,000 Basic - Night Crawler

Also, please don't smother the smaller stories with gigantic, needlessly drawn out grades. If the reader specifically asks you for it, then fine, knock yourself out, but just know that I'm not going to award anything greater than Moderate pay for a grade on a story that is less than 25K in length. Complex and Extensive grades can only be done for complex and extensive stories, GOT IT?

And remember, folks: there's nothing wrong with Basic for shorter or less elaborate stories. Moderate is better, sure, but Basic isn't bad.

Haha, right. You're free to try to prove that grade is not worthy of Extensive pay. Good freaking luck, though.

But really, that grade - and I guess all the ones I do from now on - is meant to provide you grader-folks with an example to learn from. Mind you, I'm not expecting anyone to do anything as elaborate as that; I'm just hoping that some folks will be able to take something away from those grades, something that'll make them think a little more critically and deeply about storywriting. Because in all honesty, I don't give a crap about the money. My goal is to help all the graders to continue learning, including myself.

Yay, money! :D This 73K is going for TMs for Kangaskhan (whenever I capture her) and for gift-money whenever the URPG Summer Giveaway rolls around. I can't believe I actually have money to buy good gifts this time around.

Thanks a lot for these, George. :3 Really appreciate it.

As with stories, I never dwell to much on what I do. I type whatever I think it fits. So don't complain to me if I only do grades that are longer than the puny 5k-ish stories they ask me to grade. I have to refrain from throwing in acid remarks already, don't expect me to tone down the other aspects of my grades too.

Thanks for the money! I appreciate it. As far as lateness goes, I didn't think to look until today anyway, so you're forgiven. ^^

I lol'ed. I feel so honored ^^.

Thanks fer the monies, George. And it's not like I do my job solely for money; I point out what I feel people should work on, and sometimes my Grades are longer than the stories themselves. I don't expect to get a ton of money for my Grades, so no worries 8D.

Your grades are not overkill.

That's a great philosophy to have, but then I'd suggest you look for some more elaborate stories to give those grades to. That way, not only will you be helping the author, but you'll also be helping yourself by forcing yourself to think more critically about a higher-level of writing. That is perhaps the best way to learn and improve your writing overall, I've found.

It's wicked hard to do a complex or moderate story fro a JEss one cause there's not that much to critisize :P

Oh, and thanks for the pittance.

Unfortunately, I don't have time to do Grades for longer stories or ones that need an epik arse-load of feedback. Look how long it takes me to get a 15k or so Grade up for a Medium story . If I did a Grade for a longer or more complex story, it'd probably take me all month ^^'.

Curse my hectic schedule...*Goes to post a Grade.*

Well, even if it did take an entire month, if it got you thinking more about how to keep improving your own writing, then I'd it was month well spent.

But hey, do what'cha wanna do.
