Re: Going to start over
He is probably right (though I love Psydusk) If you don't pick Gyarados you will be left with one Pokemon until right before Vermilion. So Gyarados is the way to go. This team does seem a little special attack heavy though.

Re: Going to start over
Evolve Haunter to Gengar, because Gengar is faster and powerful.

Re: Going to start over
Ah. You are probably fine. I would think about teach one of you pokemon thunderbolt though. and also make sure to have a good flying attack on dragonite. (Dark attack wouldn't hurt for Agatha either)

Re: Going to start over
Definately choose Gyarados. In my mind, I don't like Persian. I'd go for a slower, but more powerful POkemon like Kanghastan or Tauros. Good team though.

Re: Going to start over
This team needs a good Psychic and Ice counter. Alakazam or a good Hypno obliterates Venusaur and Haunter, while Venusaur is x2 weak to ice and Dragonite is x4 weak to ice. To be honest, I'd replace Persian with Jolteon, this may make your team more special based, but Jolteon beats out Persian in speed and his special attack is still higher than Persian's attack. The only reason Persian should be on your team would be that Persian learns Faint Attack. But at the same time, if you give Jolteon Shadow Ball, it's basically the same thing, but on a faster, and more powerful pokemon. Plus the electric type really adds to your move pool.

I agree that is good advice, but i think he put persian on there for sentimental reasons.

Re: Going to start over
I can understand and respect that, but the lack of coverage is kind of making his team open to so many weaknesses that I just can't agree with it. And another really big thing is until his Dragonair reaches level 55 and evolves, there's no pokemon on this team that can learn Fly. Even if he were to go up against a Ground Pokemon, he has three two pokemon immune to ground attacks. (Haunter, Gyarados, and Dragonite) and his Venusaur and Gyarados will obviously be holding a good water/grass move to take down that pokemon. Which basically means it's win/win.

Re: Going to start over
You could always put a Clefable in there. It has pretty good SP.atk and it could use thunderbolt. Then again I have it on my team for sentimental reasons also
