e-Reader Update! - 09/22/02 |
The e-Reader for Game Boy Advance was released not long ago, on September 16th. You can find it at stores now for $40. Basically, the e-Reader is a device that reads codes from cards that will make games, images, or text on your Game Boy Advance. The Pokemon Expedition cards for the TCG, can also be used for the e-Reader. The packs sell for $3.29, and theme decks costs $10 per deck. Also, the NES Series 1 cards are also compatible with e-Reader, that set of cards have also been released, $5 per pack. You’ll find games like Donkey Jr, Pinball, Tennis, and other classics from the 80’s NES. Some new screen shots of Pokemon related games from e-Reader: Use the A Button to make Pichu Jump and pull the rope, keeping the 5 Hoppip from flying away. Press the A Button as soon as Pichu hits the ground to make it jump higher in a one-two motion.
Use the A Button and the Control Pad to make Corsola paddle and dive by avoiding contact with the fully-charged Qwilfish and Tentacool. The game incorporates the concept of water resistance and gravity, so Corsola floats upward when not paddling and dive faster when the paddling gains momentum. Going pass bubbles gives Corsola air supply. The bigger the size, the greater the amount of oxygen.

The "Mysterious Fire Pokemon" Confirmed! - 9/14/02 |
Not long ago, in the 08/23/02 news, the news was about a mysterious looking Pokemon. The picture was from a popular gaming magazine in Japan, Coro Coro. My first feeling was that it might be a legendary Pokemon. I was wrong. We now know the Japanese name of that “mysterious” Pokemon, which is Bashamo. One of the starter Pokemon, from the new Pokemon beyond 251, is a bird like Pokemon, is named Achamo (Japanese name). So, the mystery has been solved. The evolution of Achamo is Wakashamo, and then comes Bashamo. Keep in mind that these are Japanese names, no English names have been given to them yet. You will be able to see these Pokemon in the Ruby/Sapphire games, coming out on May 2003. [Questions or Comments? Go to Message Board] |

New Domain Address: www.pokemonelite2000.com ! – 09/09/02 |
Pokemon Elite 2000 now has a new address! Very simple: www.pokemonelite2000.com . It’s easy to remember, and hey, it’s a .com . All the old addresses to Pokemon Elite 2000 will still work, which includes: http://www.pokemonelite2000.tk and http://pokemonelite2000.cjb.net . Pokemon Elite 2000 actually owned that domain name for one year before, in the site’s two years of existence. But because the site wasn’t exactly popular back then, it wasn’t worth continuing (.com’s cost money). However, the site now is at its best now, getting more and more popular. The site recently reached 250,000 hits. I always wanted to get back my domain name, and I’m really excited that I got it back now. If you like this site, please tell yours friends about it too, they probably would like it as well. [Questions or Comments? Go to Message Board] |

A Look at Some Pokemon e-Reader Games! - 09/09/02 |
The e-Reader for Gameboy Advance won’t come until September 16, but here’s a little sneak peak on what to expect. The e-Reader is a device that you can attach to a GBA. Using special e-Cards, you’ll be able to get games, images, or text, by swiping the card through the e-Reader. It’s not just Pokemon, it will feature a lot of Nintendo characters such as Donkey Kong Jr. Currently, e-Cards will be available in the upcoming TCG set, Expedition, and it will be released on the 16th, the same day as e-Reader device. Here we got two screen shots of two different games from e-Reader, “Machop at Work” and “Flower Power”. Machop at Work description: Help Machop bust some boulders as he tries to beat the high score each and every time. As the counter winds down, you have to break boulders as they fly at you from off screen, being careful not to get crushed by them. If a boulder does hit you, tough rocks – it’s game over!
Flower Power description: Use the A Button and the Control Pad to make Butterfree flutter and collect honey while also avoiding contact with Beedrill, Koffing and Rattata. Butterfree falls when not fluttering and flies higher when the fluttering gains momentum.

Screen Shots and Information: Ruby & Sapphire! – 09/03/02 |
Yes, here are some more screen shots from the next versions of Pokemon, Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire. Nothing new here, if you seen a bunch of them, then you've seen them all. There's actually more I have to show than the two here in the news, the rest of the screenshots from Ruby/Sappphire can be found at the Ruby/Sapphire section of the site, you'll also see some past screen shots displayed here at this site. Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire will be released in Japan on November 21, 2002. The US release is scheduled at May 2003, but it may not be a sure thing, as Nintendo want to release it in the US as soon as possible. However, May 2003 is still the officially announced release date, we'll see if anything changes, and of course, you'll hear about it here if it happens. Highlights of Ruby/Sapphire: 100 new Pokemon, 2-on-2 battles (1-on-1 still exists), new region, improved graphics, and for GBA only. Like Lugia representing Silver version and Ho-oh for Gold, Ruby and Sapphire also have a pair of legendary Pokemon to represent the game. Pokemon Ruby, is represented by the legendary Pokemon Latias (English name). Pokemon Sapphire is represented by Latios (English name). [Questions or Comments? Go to Message Board] |
