New Fire Red & Leaf Green Screenshots!

The official Japanese Pokemon website has been updated with some new screenshots and information about Fire Red/Leaf Green. Below are the URLs to the new screenshots:

Some New Information About the Game:

-Union Room: Using the new GBA wireless adapter, players can connect together in this Union Room, where you can chat and battle.

 

-Help Feature: This will show you how to play the game, from buying items to going places, this will help all the new beginners of the game.

 

-When you enter new a new place, for example, entering a forest, you’ll see a visual of the forest.

Pokemon Colosseum Pre-Sell Offer, Get Jirachi, Sixth Movie's Name!

First off, the Pokemon Colosseum pre-sell offer. Reserve a copy of Pokemon Colosseum and receive a Bonus Disc. This Bonus Disc will include a preview of Pokemon Colosseum, a sneak peak of the sixth Pokemon movie, and, more importantly, the ability to get Jirachi (the star of the sixth movie). Just use the GameCube Game Boy Advance cable, to transfer Jirachi to your Ruby or Sapphire game.

 

Also included in this announcement by Nintendo, the sixth movie’s name will be titled “Jirachi Wish Maker.”

 

The offer begins on February 9, 2004. Pokemon Colosseum will be released on March 22, 2004.

Fire Red/Leaf Green Box Art, and More From Coro Coro Magazine!

Above you can the box art for Pokemon Fire Red and Pokemon Leaf Green. On the bottom right of the box art for both games, you can see the wireless adapter that is bundled with the game, which supports up to 5 players to be linked to one another. Pokemon Fire Red/Leaf Green will be the first game to be bundled with the new wireless adapter, the adapter works for both GBA and GBA SP.

 

The new box art is found from the Japanese gaming magazine, Coro Coro. Below you can see the pictures from the magazine concerning Fire Red/Leaf Green. There seems to be more slight improvements in the game, such as a different look and more features for the Pokedex. You’ll also see the main trainer picture and rival, as well as the girl trainer, and Professor Oak.

Seventh Pokemon Movie for Japan in 2004!

With the year 2004 coming in less than a month, here comes news of the next Pokemon film. This newest film, the seventh film, will be released in Japan on July 17th, 2004. There is currently no US date scheduled for the seventh film.

 

As you see from the movie poster above, the main Pokemon this movie will feature is Rayquaza and Deoxys. The mini-movie features Pikachu along with Plusle and Minun. For now, check out the trailer (link below), there will be more information about the movie as it comes, and of course, will be here in the news.

US Note: Pokemon Heroes was the fifth movie (features Latios and Latias), we're still waiting for the release of the sixth Pokemon movie (features the Pokemon Jirachi). Pokemon Heroes DVD/VHS is scheduled to be released on January 20th, 2004. There is no release date yet for the sixth Pokemon movie for the US.

 

 

 

 

 

Pokemon-e TCG City Championships!

Here comes more Pokemon TCG events.

 

The City Championship Tournament will be held on February 2004, all over North America, which includes Canada, Mexico, and of course, the United States. People who wish to run the tournament, must sign up before the deadline on December 19th, 2003. There will be three age brackets for the tournament: 10 and under, 10-14, and 15 and up. First place winners from each age bracket of the tournaments will be invited to the State Championship Tournament in April 2004.
