Pokemon GBA Video & Screenshots!

Pokemon GBA Video was launched on June 21st. The retail price is $19.99 per pak. Each GBA Video pak comes with two episodes. Pokemon GBA Video allows you to watch the Pokemon series on your GBA or GBA SP.

 

Currently, there are two volumes:

 

Volume 1: "For Ho-Oh The Bell Toll!" and "A Hot Water Battle"
Volume 2: "Johto Photo Finish" and "Playing with Fire!"

Nintendo.com Updated With New FireRed/LeafGreen Screenshots!

Nintendo.com has been updated with some new screenshots of FireRed/LeafGreen. Nothing new really, we've seen plenty of FireRed/LeafGreen screenshots ever since it was released in Japan, and there were English version screenshots released a while ago. Pokemon Pocket Trainer's Guide

 

Pre-orders for Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen will begin on August 1st, 2004 (however, at some places, like EBGames, the pre-ordering process has already begun). At participating stores, you will receive a Pokemon Pocket Trainer's Guide as a bonus.

 

The game's retail price is $39.99. Each games comes with a Wireless Adapter (compatible with GBA and GBA SP), allowing you to do multiplayer mode without any cables.

 

There's an updated release date date for the game: Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen will be released on September 7th, 2004, two days earlier than the original release date.

Berry Program Update for Europe!

Fans in Europe will now get their chance to fix the Berry error. The "Berry Glitch" as it is commonly called nowadays, affects the Ruby/Sapphire games. After you played the game for one year, the clock will stop functioning properly, affecting things like berry tree growth. There are a few ways to this this problem:

 

Pokemon Channel

If you download Jirachi from Pokemon Channel to Ruby/Sapphire, your game will be fixed.

 

Pokemon Colosseum

When you link Ruby/Sapphire with Pokemon Coloseeum, your game will automatically be fixed.

 

Send it to Nintendo

Nintendo will fix your game for free if you send it in. When you send it in, make sure your team has less than five Pokemon and have saved the game. If the get is set up properly like that, you will receive a gift. For addresses to send to, go to the site for your country:

Wireless Adapter Can Be Bought Seperately!

On July 15th, 2004, Nintendo will begin will selling the Wireless Adapter separately in Japan. The Wireless Adapter has been bundled with three games so far: Pokemon FireRed, Pokemon LeafGreen, and Mario Golf: Advance Tour.

 

The Wireless Adapter allows multiplayer play without cables, it's compatible with GBA and GBA SP. Only GBA games labeled compatible with the Wireless Adapter can be used. The retail price is 2000 yen, which is about $18.

 

There is currently no release date for the Wireless Adapter in the US. However, as mentioned, you can get it bundled with the upcoming Pokemon games, FireRed and LeafGreen.

 

US Release of Pokemon Box Ruby and Sapphire!

Finally, Pokemon Box Ruby and Sapphire will make it's release here in the US. Pokemon Center NY is offering the game for pre-order (also available on their online website), and the game will ship July 12th, 2004. The price is set at $19.95.

 

What is Pokemon Box Ruby and Sapphire?

The game is for GameCube, and basically, is an organizer for your Ruby/Sapphire game. You need to have a GBA or GBA SP along with Ruby or Sapphire in order to use Pokemon Box. You can organize the Pokemon you captured in Ruby/Sapphire, up to 1500 Pokemon can be saved with Pokemon Box. Also, you can play Ruby/Sapphire on a TV screen.

 

Included with Pokemon Box Ruby and Sapphire is a Memory Card 59 and a Game Boy Advance link cable. A pair of Pokemon badges will also be included as a pre-order bonus. The game is practically free, as it should be (it's just a utility), with just a $19.95 price tag, it comes with Memory Card 59 and the GBA Link Cable (both items goes for about $10 each).

 

 

Only at Pokemon Center NY

It seems that Pokemon Box is will only be on sale at Pokemon Center NY. The Pokemon Center NY online store had this to say on the product page:

"This is the most exclusive Pokemon software ever offered to North American Pokemon fans - so exclusive that you can only buy it at PokemonCenter.com or the Pokemon Center NY store."

Pokemon Space Party Recap!

The Pokemon Space Party, held at Space Center Houston over the weekend, was a great success. Thousands of fans went to the special event. Lucky fans that were able to attend had a chance to view Pokemon: Jirachi Wish Maker, on the big screen at Space Center Houston. A EX Hidden Legends pre-release event was also held.

 

And fans were treated with something very special, Asuca Hayashi, performed the movie's theme song, "Make A Wish." The song is known as "Chiisaki Mono" in Japanese (literally, translates into "A Small Thing").

Seventh Movie Website Updated: Characters and Gifts!

The official website for the seventh Pokemon movie has been updated with some new stuff. Here's some images of characters that will be in the movie:

 

When the movie will be released in Japan on July 17th, 2004, moviegoers will receive some gifts, while supplies last.

In a press release by 4Kids Entertainment, Kids WB has picked up three more seasons of Pokemon. The seventh season is scheduled to begin in September 2004.

Pokemon: Jirachi Wish Maker Released!
