The Lesky Family Pokemon TCG Story!

-03/29/05-

Troy Lesky knows his Pokemon cards, a father of a family of Pokemon TCG fans. It all started when his son Mike discovered Pokemon cards about five years ago at school. His younger sister eventually caught on and his father as well. "Mom won't play," Dad teased. "She shops."

Daniella finished in first place in her age category in the Minnesota state championships. Mike earned third place in his age category and Troy finished in at fifth in his age category.

Winning titles are nice, but for Troy, he enjoys the opportunity to spend time with the family, "That's what is most important to me," he said.

The Three New Pokemon!

-03/12/05-

New magazine scans from Japan reveal the silhouettes of three new Pokemon. Their existence was confirmed earlier in the week when a Japanese ad featured Pokemon products with three Pokemon blacked out saying: "New Pokemon A, New Pokemon B, and New Pokemon C."

The three new Pokemon are suspected to be three names that were trademarked last year: Usohachi, Manene, and Manyula.

Pokemon XD for GameCube Officially Confirmed!

-03/09/05-

IGN interviewed Nintendo of America's executive vice president of sales and marketing Reggie Fils-Aime at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco being held this week. The interview confirmed the existence of Pokemon XD for GameCube.

As you may recall from reading the news here, a title named "Pokemon Colosseum XD GC" was seen on the EBgames website (has since been removed). This was also reported by IGN. While the page was online, it stated a US release date of November 14, 2005 and a price tag of $49.99. Here's a bit from the interview:

IGNcube: Finally, what is Pokemon XD?

Reggie: Pokemon XD is a brand new Pokemon game for GameCube. It's a true RPG Pokemon. It's isn't a sequel to Collosseum. It's a brand new build. A brand new game that really plays off the RPG aspects. So think of it this way. If you loved Ruby and Sapphire, you're going to love Pokemon XD for GameCube.

So there you have it, look for Pokemon XD soon, the true Pokemon RPG game for GameCube.

Possible Screenshots for Pokemon XD?

Back in December, Japanese gaming magazine Coro Coro revealed screenshots of the next Pokemon game for GameCube, however, it didn't reveal the title of the game. The screenshots look like the story mode of Pokemon Colosseum. Which lead many to believe that it would be the next Pokemon Colosseum game. However, now that Pokemon XD is revealed as a brand new Pokemon RPG game for GameCube, these screenshots may turn out to be Pokemon XD.

Other anime also got on the list. Spirited Away got 8th, Akira at 16th, and Princess Mononoke at 21st.

I mentioned this before, I believe Castle in the Sky and Grave of the Fireflies should also have been nominated and got on the top 100.
