US Release Date?

There's no official US release date available, but expect it to be months after the release in Japan. Official English Movie Title: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew!

The official English movie title for the 8th Pokemon movie has been revealed: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew.

The movie stars the new Pokemon Lucario (a new Pokemon that is beyond the current 386 Pokemon). And of course, as the title suggests, Mew will be playing a major role in the movie as well.

The movie is expected be released direct to DVD sometime this year (no exact date available yet).

The title confirms Lucario as the official English name for the new Pokemon. Of course, there's been a lot of confusion of whether it's Rukario or Lucario. While both names can be considered "correct" in the Japanese language, officially, the Japanese used the English name of "Lucario" for the Pokemon. So the use of Lucario again for the official English name is not surprising.
