Grass Techs

Grass Pokemon are, what I believe to be, the best kind of Pokemon around. The reason for this is they are completely all around. Their first tech is they don't have high retreat costs. Practically only grass Pokemon with a 3 retreat cost are stage 2's. Venusaur and Meganium do have hefty retreat costs but they are still pretty good. A good example of a zero retreat grass basic Pokemon would be, of course, Scyther. There aren't a LOT of free retreat grass Pokemon but there are VERY few grass Pokemon that have more than 2 colorless retreat cost.

Another trio of Pokemon that are perfect for this, example, are the Jumpluff family. Every single Pokemon in that trio have a completely free retreat cost. And not only that, but they also have extremely good attacks as well. The three Pokemon require VERY little energy and they can do damage and status effects as well. If your ever making a grass deck, consider theses Pokemon to be in it.

The other tech about Grass Pokemon, is they change status more than any other type. Your probably thinking, well no duh, but that can be extremely useful. Status changes in a Pokemons attack can be one of the most useful things for a deck to have. But, having a status change AND having strong power is the best kind of deck you can possibly make.
