Here we go.
Ranger: Hyacinth "Hiccup" Uppershire
Location: Outpost 1 (Docks)
A boy was pacing back and forth in the hall, waiting for something, restlessly. He's wearing a pair of worn-out baggy torque pants, reaching down to his feet, and a slort-sleeved olive shirt with the collar unbuttoned. He looks like he's waiting for something, or someone, and quite impatiently too.
"Hyacinth, are you here?" a voice called him from a door. It opens, and a beautiful woman comes through, her long blonde hair hanging down and somehow not hampering her movements. "Oh, so you're here."
"Uh... Hello boss," he replied, a mix of nervousness and excitement in he voice.
"No need to be so formal. Here," she said as she handed him a plastic ID card. "With this, you're enabled to do field work and explore the Park with other trainers and..." she started talking, but noticed the shiny look in his eyes and stops, a smirk appearing on her face. "We have a trainer waiting already. He should be docking right now, it won't be much before he arrives here. Care to show him around?"
Christmas had come early for Hyacinth. "I... really can?"
"Sure. This will be your first job as Field Ranger, so do your best and don't let us down," she added with a friendly smile.
"Yessir!" he said, as he left the hallway and headed for the exit.
"Weird kid..."
He strode through the corridors in a rush, barely acknowledging the other rangers there, which were surprised at first, but all had a knowing smile after they knew why he was in such a rush.
Becoming a ranger- a real ranger- had been his dream ever since he stumbled by chance into the Head Ranger a couple of years prior. He basically started stalking her after that, much unlike his personality, and pestered her for a chance to prove himself.
In the end, she gave in, even though he was only fourteen years old- she was pretty unsure about it as well, but he looked enthusiast.
So, after a lot of training, now he was finally arrived where he wanted. You can bet he was excited about it.
After one set too many of doors- he almost slammed right into the entrance's sliding doors in his haste- he was finally outside. The salty smell that the breeze brought washed over his nostrils, filling him with that ocean aroma that he didn't mind- but wasn't exactly a fan ofà
Spotting a bench outside, he sat there, mumbling about his first real job as a Park Ranger. Would he do good? Would he screw up? Only time would tell...

Redino stepped off of the boat that had brough him to this mysterious Pokemon paradise and looked around.
He felt the stares of the other people on the boat as he strode toward the large facility in front of him, his cape billowing out behind him due to the crisp ocean breeze. His outfit is what many would call less than normal, being almost completely black except for his namesake red "X" across the chest and top of the head, and a mask which gave the appearance of a skull, he seemed more like an out of place Team Rocket member than a normal trainer.
Still, he enjoyed the feeling of fear that many people took while watching him walk by. It was a power that none could take away from him.
Just to get a little bit of humor for himself he took a Pokeball from a pocket on his belt and threw it in the air. The wind changed direction a little and blew the ball a few feet to his side, where it popped open and released his partner in crime, an Absol.
" 'Sol", it muttered before picking up its own Pokeball in its mouth and loping over to its trainer.
With Absol by his side, Redino walked over to a yound man he saw sitting on a bench outside the building.
Purposely making his voice as deep and gravely as possible, Redino tapped him on the shoulder and asked "Is that building where I go to get a tour around the park?"

OoC: sorry for the extreme lateness :x been sidetracked. A lot.

Hyacinth sat there, absentmindedly fidgeting with a pokeball in his hand as he wondered what kind of person Redino could be. He hoped he would be easy to handle- he knew that some trainers tended to hot-headed simpletons that hit danger head-on, hoping to get away by sheer luck or Pokemon skills. Sure, an adventorous spirit is needed when facing such a challenge as a journey with Pokemon, but the line between eager and foolish is very thin, and trainers usually tip-tap over it.
Someone tapped over his shoulder, asking in a deep voice directions.
"Yes, that's the..." he said as he turned. "Waah!" He fell down on the ground, losing himself for a moment after the "scary vision" of a man-in-black and his Absol. The Pokeball he was holding fell from his hands... and opened.
Towering the puny black-dressed human, a giant of fire stood between the trainer and his master, shielding him from harm. The red and yellow golem shifted into a protective stance, his yellow arms shifting slowly into cannon-like appendages, the flaming shoulders flaring up as he charged up heat and stored it for a possible use, a death glare was sent to the human. "Mortar..." he growled.
The Absol, however, didn't stand idle, his stance stiffening and ready to step in...
"T-that's enough, Firada," Hyacinth said as he regained composure. The Magmortar relaxed as the air around him cooled off. He then proceeded to step aside, giving his trainer free way. "Sorry for that. My Magmortar gets very protective of me..." Hyacinth took a deep breath. "Are you Redino, by any chance? They didn't tell me you were so..." Weird? Psycho? Nightmare Fuel Station Attendant? "so original. I-I take you're here to take a trip in the Park. I've been assigned to your case- I'll be accompanying you inside here. I'm Hyacinth." He held out his hand, waiting for the trainer to shake it and formally introduce himself. "You... You have to fill in a form first. Please follow me," he said as he led the way inside the Outpost.
Shortly after they entered, Hyacinth went straight for a desk- an acceptance desk- and as there was nobody at the moment, he quickly debated whether he should, then quickly sat down and rummaged for an entry form to hand to Redino.
After the trainer quickly filled it, Hyacinth took it and attached it to some kind of bullettin board, after signing it. "There, we're ready to go."
They went back outside, and Hyacinth called back Firada out. "I'm going to Teleport us to Meteor Valley, if that's okay with you. It's quicker, and besides, I can't drive yet. It would be better if you recalled Absol for the time being, as he may interfere with the travel... Dark types are resistant to psy-force." He waited for Redino to do as said. "There, ready?"
The fire golem put his giant hands on the two human, on one more than the other, and they quickly set off.
Meteor Valley is a strange place. The center of the island, the place holds a lot of interest to psychic types and similiar. It's actually under the sea level, in a conch, and flanked by the two mountains, so it's no wonder that there's a complex cave system that houses mainly Ghost Pokemon. Researchs have been done to find out just why those Pokemon like this place, but so far no real thesis has been formulated.
The flaming salamander Pokemon appeared, taking right beside himself a boy. The other one, however, wasn't in sight.
"Firada!" Hyacinth ejaculated indignated. "Where have you left him?" His Pokemon, however, simply took an innocent facade.
"I'm here..." Redino replied. Hyacinth turned to where the voice came, and saw a rustling in a tree.
"I'm sorry for that..." Hyacinth apologized as Redino got off. "I told you, he's very protective of me." He then recalled the Magmortar. "At least we're here. Where you want to go?"

Redino got down from the tree and walked back over to Hyacinth.
"I'm sorry for that..." Hyacinth apologized as Redino was getting down. "I told you, he's very protective of me." He then recalled the Magmortar. "At least we're here. Where you want to go?"
Redino, put a hand on his stomach and rubbed it a little, his voice was a little shaky, "I just need a minute, if we can wait a little, that would be prefferable. I never did enjoy Teleporting".
He thought he saw Hyacinth smirk a little, but he wasnt sure. Redino brought out Absol again, who stood in quiet vigilance by his trainer.
Redino stood up straight and cracked his back by putting both his hands behind his back and pulling his arms upwards. He reached over to his chin and began to remove his mask, then stopped, with the mask halfway up his neck.
"Hyacinth, I wear the mask for a reason, when I take it off, you may or may not recognize me as who I am, but either way, I would ask that you please not say anything"
He continued to remove his mask, then placed it in one of the many gray colored pockets on his belt. His face was young, but with wrinkles at the corners of his eyes, similar to ones that you would get from smiling or squinting often. His hair was moderately long and brown colored, his eyes were also brown. He had light stubble all around his face and he sported a patch of hair which covered from his lower lip to the bottom of his chin, roughly in the shape of a triangle.
Redino smiled and extended his hand out to Hyacinth, "I make look scary, but I dont bite. I'm Redino and its a pleasure to meet you" Absol chuckled quietly. "Now, how about we go find some Pokemon?"

The boy scracthed his head. Not supposed to recognise him? If he never met Redino before...
Weird guy.
He took a good look at Redino's face, just so he'd recognise him in case he'd come back in the future, before the man said with a soft chuckle, after calling back out his Absol. "I may look scary, but I don't bite. Now how about we go and get some Pokemon?"
"Sure thing, sir," Hyacinth replied. "Let's see..." He took a quick glance at his surrounding, as he wasn't sure where he was. That was the problem with using Teleport: you never knew where you'd land, especially if you're bringing someone with you. The more mass you have to move, the less easy it is to actually pinpoint the exact location you'll land.
There were scarce trees in the area, and the ground was mostly covered by tall grass- knee-high tall. Some patches rustled with some kind of unseen activity, but it was as likely to just be cause of the wind blowing. Far in the south, the ground got higher, making for a perfect spot to control the area, and as there were a lot of caves in the valley, chances were that some Pokemon would be residing there.
A soft chuckle attracked both humans' attention. It came from the very same tree Redino jumped off from.
Dangling itself from a branch, a maroon and gold foxy-shaped Pokemon stood, watching amused the scene. Its arms were holding the branch as the tail hung twitching. It then threw itself, pirouetted and landed on the ground, a huge grin on the face. It briefly looked at Absol, and its triangular ears twitched ever-so-slightly - excitement, maybe?
It seemed a very healthy specimen of an Abra- the maroon chestplate was very shiny, and the shoulder pieces looked sturdy, despite the, well, overrall frailness of such a Pokemon.
"Well, aren't we lucky," Hyacinth commented. "Aren't these Pokemon supposed to be very wary? I suppose there always is an exception to the rule. This guy has taken the first step, though."

Redino smiled, excited for the battle that was about to happen
"First step my ass, but I like its style" Redino said to no one in particular.
"Absol, " Redino began, and Absol crouched in a ready position to carry out whatever orders came from its master.
"I want you to use a pair of Night Slashes. Try to knowck it backwards into the tree and then chop off the branch it was hanging from. Pin it down" Redino delivered his orders in a gruff voice, articulating with his hands exactly what he wanted, Absol was quick to begin its responce, by zig zagging towards the Abra. The horn on Absol's head began to glow a pitch black that seemed to suck out the light from all around. Redino took a step back and smiled even wider, waiting to see the results.

Redino, excited to have met an Abra, quickly ordered his Absol to charge at the tree and hit Abra with a Night Slash, only to follow up but cutting away the branch of the tree... What for, it's not for us to know.
Absol didn't take much to obey, and charged a straight path to the humanshape Pokemon, the horn-like appendage shining with unreleased energy.
As for the Abra... It just stood there, grinning, while the four-legged Pokemon started swinging the blade at it...
And then, it disappeared. Just like that, after nothing more than a brief snapping of its fingers. The disaster Pokemon was taken by surprise and, unable to stop in time, BAM! Hit the tree head on. Ay, chiuauaua!
The saffron Pokemon reappeared... right on top of Redino's head, and clapped its hands at the clumsy ending of that first attack. Then, using the boy as leverage, it leapt back on the ground, gesturing as if to invite its opponent to join back.

Redino was taken aback at first, but then just threw his head back and laughed. Absol stood up and shook his head, clearing it after a self inflicted blow.
"I'm going to get along quite well with this little guy, he's got style." Redino said smiling over his shoulder to Hyacinth, then he began to call orders out at Absol again.
"I want you to get this little guy in your teeth Absol. Dont stop until you took a Bite out of the guy, and dont run into any more trees either."
Absol, this should be cake for you, just because he is moving doesnt mean you cant grab him. Redino thought inwardly to himself, waiting for Absol to make a move.

Also, I forgot, but you can choose Abra's gender... just you know, telling you.

The boy just shrugged off the sudden "attack" from Abra and laughed at it. That guy's got some guts.
"This Pokemon is very strange... but amusing," Hyacinth agreed. "I'm sorry for your Absol, but that was a good move, don't you think so, Firada?"
The Magmortar let out a heartily laugh from his ducky mouth as he watched bemused the battle.
Redino then ordered Absol to try and Bite his opponent, avoiding any tree to boot. The white-furred Pokemon complied, and charged the Psychic Pokemon, mouth agape to get a good chunk of that fleshy Abra.
Yet, again, the Abra snapped its fingers and changed place, leaving Absol to bite the dust.
Puns aside, Absol quickly scouted around to pinpoint its location, briefly givena way by a foggy shape appearing. However, there was none around, and this had Absol confused, untill...
"Wee!" the Abra said as it gripped Absol's neck from above and rode him like a Ponyta- without the severe burn risk, though.
"Well, that's funny," Hyacinth couldn't hold back saying. Honestly, Absol bucking to try and shook it off really was quite a sight.

Redino continued to smile at the whimsical Abra as it made a fool of Absol.
"Absol, stop taking his ****! I want you to stop short and fling it forward. Now!"
Absol was quick to respond. With an angry " 'Sol! " the disaster pokemon stopped jumping around and flung the small fox pokemon off of its back, sending it catapulting forward.
"Good Absol!" Redino shouted sternly, his face becoming suddenly stern. "Now, move your ass and Bite that little sucker and hang on with your claws too. When you have it in your mouth, I want an Ice Beam. GO!!"
Absol, unperterbed by his masters sudden change in attitude, charged forward as the Abra flipped around in the air like a ragdoll, then lept towards it, leaving a small cloud of dirt where its paws were. Absol had its mouth open with teeth shining, claws extended, gleaming scarily in the daylight, and a small ball of aqua blue energy was building up in his mouth. A twinkle in Absol's eyes made the attack seem even more deadly.

There. Only popcorn was needed to the show, and the craziest rodeo ever would've been perfect.
Abra looked like he was enjoying himself a great deal, what with the bucking Absol made and whatnot. "Absol, stop taking his ****! I want you to stop short and fling it forward. Now!"
The Pokemon complied, and Abra was sent flying by the sudden stop and strong bucking, and before he had a chance to came back to his senses, Redino followed up with another order. "Now, move your ass and Bite that little sucker and hang on with your claws too. When you have it in your mouth, I want an Ice Beam. GO!!"
Absol quickly pounced at its opponent, before Abra could Teleport away, and mouth agape, sank his sharp teeth in the tender flesh of the wild Pokemon.
Abra writhed in pain, held still by the strong, firm lock of Absol's Bite, the fangs sinking deeper and deeped in his flesh, until the Psychic Pokemon could take no more and fainted, just like that.
"That wasn't nice of you," ranger Hyacinth scolded Redino, as Absol tossed the fainted Pokemon aside. "It wasn't Absol's fault if Abra kept running away, you shouldn't have taken it on him just like that. Now," he said going over to the little Pokemon. "He looks in bad shape now... Abra's physique is very frail, their body can't take much beating... and Absol are known for their physical prowness... you could've chosen better than that." He then applied the contents of an Healing Potion on the Pokemon's wounds, and he instantly came back to his senses, only to instantly Teleport away, somewhere else in the valley.

"Sorry Hyacinth" Redino said, scratching the back of his head with one hand. "Sometimes I get really worked up by these battles, I'll try to use Absol's strength accordingly next time"
He called Absol over and reached down to scrathch his fur. Absol seemed a little peeved at the fact that Redino enjoyed watching it struggle with the Abra, but he soon forgot it and began to purr.
"You think we should keep movin' ?" Redino asked as he continued to pet his partner
DarkGardevoir

"It's no big deal," Hyacinth shrugged it off. "It's just that I don't like seeing this kind of... bullying, if you understand what I mean. In a battle, you either have to adjust your strenght according to your opponent, or run away if you don't feel like battling. I don't like an exaggerate unfairness... though I must admit that Abra played it quite well, for the short time he was in the fray," he added with a chuckle.
"You think we should keep movin' ?" Redino asked as he continued to pet his partner Pokemon.
"I guess it's for the best- most Pokemon should be hidden in caves, as the species here tend to be nocturnal, or just like to sleep alot. There, you see?" the Ranger pointed a cave entrance in a straight line from them, after a rather big patch of very tall grass. "It's very likely that there's something there, even more than something. Who knows, you might be lucky. Shall we head there? You're the boss."

OoC: Again, try to be more creative. It's not only in battles that you see the quality of a RPer, but mainly on how they handle different kinds of situations- I'm not saying that you're doing it bad, but... I dunno, maybe I'm just expecting a tad more?

"Allright then" said Redino, standing up. Absol rolled over on the floor, getting dirt back into his white coat after Redino had spent the time petting him and getting the dirt out.
Redino strolled forward, taking long purposeful steps, moving with a grace that almost seemed peaceful. His movements flowed, everything about it seemed natural, but there was an element of confidence and strength behind it. Redino knew he could handle anything thrown at him, and it showed in the way he moved.
Absol followed behind Redino, using the same confident strides, but it didn't seem the same, Absol's steps didn't appear graceful. Every step the Pokemon took sent a small poof of dirt into the air, showing the strength in the Pokemon's legs, but destroying any attempt at graceful movement. His stride consisted of pure power, not technique.
As Redino moved around a tree, his cape fluttered a little, revealing the shape of a sword on his back and twin knives around his waist.
He turned back to Hyacinth to see if he was following, when the grass ahead rustled loudly.

Redino started moving, confidence emanating from his stride, as he agreed to go where his Ranger had pointed.
Suddenly, behind him, a patch of tall grass started moving as if something had just made its way inside it.
The boys turned that way, interested in what could be coming out of there, and their curiosity was soon quenched as a small, grey-furred pup leapt out of that.
The Poochyena inspected the air with his nose, as if looking for something, then, as it noticed the humans, it took a step back, taking a defensive stance.
However, when it noticed Absol, its stance shifted to a more battle-oriented one, and it growled a challenge to the Disaster Pokemon.

Absol turned towards the grey dog shaped pokemon and let out a very deep angry howl, but it did not dare attack without directions from its owner. Redino took notice of the Poochyena after Absol took its stance, and stopped to take in the challenge.
"Absol, slash" Redino ordered. The lack of description gave Absol free reign over how to perform the attack. The large white disaster cat gave a full toothy grin and sprinted towards his opponent and jumped. Stepping on the Poochyena's back and springing off, and landing behind it with its gleaming claws poised to strike. The paw came down with lightning speed and Redino saw the Poochyena tense up to take action, but would it be enough time for the Bite Pokemon to avoid the claws that could spell doom for it's hind legs?
OoC: Two things: one, would you make the font into size 2 please? i need new contacts and for the time being it is very hard to read the small font

OoC: it's not that it's not allowed to make contact, you just can't decide if the move connects. If your combo requires contact to happen, taking in account you predict how the opponent might react, then it's allowed.
However, bear in mind that Absol is twice as big as a Poochyena, so it's not really that easy to visualize- or to make it happen- for Absol to do what you say it did.
***
Absol quickly reacted to the taunt of the small dog Pokemon, stepping up to take the challenge.
"Absol, slash," Redino simply ordered. No big strategy, he just left his Pokemon fully in charge of the attack.
"You know," Hyacinth commented. "If you don't want to battle, you can just leave the Pokemon alone. No use in making your Pokemon tired over some petty fight."
Well, the Ranger thought, I doubt Absol would've settled for a quick escape, he doesn't look the type.
Absol sprung forth, using the pooch's back for leverage, accidentally throwing him farther away, then as he landed he turned and went forward to hack the small Pokemon with his claw.
The Poochyena was up on its paws, but it didn't have time to notice the other Pokemon closing in as Absol raised his paw and struck, making the small pokemon fly back yeling in pain.
Rage in its doggy eyes, it stood up, growling fiercely. Too bad it didn't leave Absol as much as bothered. Even madder, Poochyena started charging forth, head first, in an attempt to seriously injure the much bigger foe.
That pokemon is totally nuts.

"Really great job Absol!" Redino praised, "Now, I want you to use Flamethrower on the ground in front of you, set up a wall of flame between you and that angry pooch. Then back up and start charging up for a weak Ice Beam and let it loose on my mark!"
Absol understood perfectly and started the flamethrower attack before Redino had given the second part of his order. Brilliant red and blue flames shot from its mouth, scorching the ground in front of him and creating a bed of flame on the floor that would stop Poochyena in its tracks. Hearing the second part of the order, Absol took a small jump backwards and opened its mouth. A small ball of icy blue energy began to build up in its mouth, ready to be released. Absol crouched down, hiding in the smoke of its own attack, an Ice Beam ready, waiting to hit the Poochyena just hard enough for Redino to catch it.
The Poochyena came charging forward, Redino kept his gaze focused on it, waiting to see whether it would charge straight through the flames or attempt to jump over.
"Be ready Absol" Redino cautioned, and as the Poochyena lept up into the air to jump over the fire, Redino screamed out, "Now Absol! He's in the air!"
Absol adjusted his head and saw the shadow in the flames. He released his attack and sent the aqua blue Ice Beam ripping through the smoke.

Absol complied, firing a stream of brilliant flames from his mouth roght on the ground. The flames singed the ground, and a wall of fire appeared between the two pokemon. Absol then took a step back, readying an Ice Beam into his mouth.
Too bad he and his trainer made the step longer than the leg. Poochyena didn't stop when it saw the flame shield, and instead sped forward, jumping right into the flames and keeping up its attack. This suprised Absol, that had no time to dodge the incoming Take Down, so Poochyena hit the fellow dark Pokemon dead on in the face, the momentum thowing the Disaster Pokemon off his paws.
Poochyena landed, a little singed by the firewall it went through and recoiling from the Take Down, but its look didn't waves as it snarled at its opponent.

OoC: You should try to guess the Pokemon's nature before trying such stunts- each nature will react differently to being faced by a wall of fire, so you can't just hope for a generic reaction to take place.

OoC: the natures completely slipped my mind, I was pretty into it lol.
Redino was shocked at the foolhardiness ofthe Poochyena to sprint right through the flames, and he watched as Absol be thrown back by the ferocios Take Down attack.
"Absol, get up we need to finish this up!" Redino cried out, seeing the damage his pokemon had taken. "Absol, I want you to stoop down a few steps and use Scratch. Come on, while he's still reeling from his atack!"
Absol shook off his pain and lept in the air once again, landing next to the Poochyena as it recovered from the recoil of its attack. Paw raised, Absol began to lower it towards the reckless pink nosed dog Pokemon.
Redino reached to his belt and took off one of the Hyper Balls he had there. The ball grew in his hand as he raised his arm and aimed at the Poochyena, planning on releasing it as soon as Absol's move made contact, a thought breezed through his mind quickly though: What if the attack doesn't hit?

"Absol, get up we need to finish this up!" Redino cried out, seeing the damage his pokemon had taken. "Absol, I want you to stoop down a few steps and use Scratch. Come on, while he's still reeling from his attack!"
The Pokemon scampered up, shaking off the blow before following his trainer's orders. The feline Pokemon closed in the distance between him and his opponent, as the little gray pup was still a little woozy from the recoil, but as it noticed the Absol coming at it, the Poochyena charged as well, mouth agape, ready to deliver a mouthful of pain.
Absol raised his paw as Poochyena aimed for his other paw, and as it sank its teeth into the fellow Dark Pokemon's leg, the paw came raining down with all the Absol's strength, causing nasty cuts in the gray pup's side.
However, it didn't let go.

"Absol! move Poochyena into the path of the ball!" Redino called, releasing the ball from his hand.
The ball went spiraling through the air towards the two grappling Pokemon.
Absol raised its paw and flung Poochyena into the air, directly in the path of the ball. Absol yelped in pain as the Poochyena's teeth ripped a gash in its leg, leaving a faint bloody trickle coming from the pooch's mouth.
The ball collided with the rear end of the Poochyena and absorbed it in a brilliant flash of red light. Absol stared at the ball, staggering in pain, waiting, as it shook on the ground.

"Absol! Move Poochyena in the path of the ParkBall!" Redino ordered as he threw the special Pokeball used only in the Park- specifically, a Hyper Ball, the best in the market.
The Pokemon obeyed and violently shook off the small Pokemon from his paw, despite its tenacious grip. In the end, Poochyena had to let go, unable to resist anymore, and was thrown away, right at the Hyper Ball, that eagerly engulfed and absorbed the snarling Pokemon.
Absol licked the wounds caused by the violent shaking off of Poochyena, as the spherical item fell on the ground, wobbling.
It stopped.
"Congratulation!" Hyacint applauded him. "You caught your first Pokemon in the Park!"

"Wow" Redino said as he walked over to the ball and grabbed it up off the ground. The ball shrunk in his hand to a size where he could easily clip it to his belt.
He wasted no time in turning his attention to Absol though. He went over and grabbed out a potion from his bag and sprayed Absol's injured leg with it. Absol purred with content and watched as the gash in his leg healed up. Redino sprayed the rest of the potion along Absol's back until it was finished. When the potion was empty, he put it back in his bag and turned to Hyacinth
"No time to celebrate, there are more Pokemon out there waiting to be caught!" Redino proclaimed. "Follow me."
He turned and began to walk towards a cliffside dotted with mutiple small caves, wondering what would come next.

After successfully capturing the Poochyena, Redino went over and emptied the contents of an healing potions over Absol's wounds, that instantly began to heal up as the disaster Pokemon murred- he had learned to like the feeling they gave, especially after the initial sting faded away.
After the deed was done, the trainer put the empty bottle inside his bag again, and then turned to the ranger. "No time to celebrate, there are more Pokemon out there waiting to be caught!" Redino proclaimed. "Follow me."
"You don't know the way," Hyacinth rather timidly said. "Don't go too far, else something might happen to you..."
His words were lost in the wind, for all the aknowledgement the trainer was giving him. With a sigh, the boy resigned himself to follow up the cocky trainer as he stepped on the nude rock, climbing a little slope to get nearer to the still rather far cave.
Then he fell.
Maybe the stone was slippery, or very friable, yet Redino fell down anyway, and, being on a slope, slipped down inside an almost invisible passage between the rocks. Luckily, the ranger had seen where he went, else it'd be rather unlikely for him to guess where the trainer went.
"Are you ok?" Hyacinth asked form above, as he and the trainer's Absol peeked from the border of the hole.
Redino seemed to be fine, if only his backside hurting a bit after the fall. "Yeah, yeah... Just what's this?" he asked as he took a look around. From the light that filtered from above, he could notice that the cave he fell in led to a deep and very big corridor- an Aggron could easily fit inside the cave, albeit maybe it'd need to crouch in order to move around as it'd be a little snug on the big steel Pokemon.
"It seems that that's an underground cave. It's not an uncommon thing around here, some entrances are very well hidden among the rocks. Do you think you can climb up?" the ranger asked.
As Redino was about to reply, he saw a movement coming from the corridor. As it neared the only light source around there, the human noticed the suine Pokemon's figure agaisnt the darkness of the cave- it wasn't easy, though.
The Pokemon stood on its hind legs, walking over to see the cause of the commotion. The upper torso was easier to recognise, being a shade of purple bordering on lavender, but the resto of the body- save its face and paws- was so very black. Even weirder, there seemed to be hollow spots on its torso, as if they sucked in the light- they weren't just black, they were darkness.
"Is something the matter?" the ranger asked as Redino seemed mesmerized by the dark spots on the Pokemon's body. "Hello?" he said again, but to no avail. Hyacinth sighed. Maybe he's being hypnotized, he thought, and so rummaged a little inside his backpack until he found what he was looking for: Poochyena's ParkBall.
He threw it at the trainer, snapping him out of his trance. "Why did you do that?"
"You seemed out of it- is there a Pokemon there?"
Redino looked again. "Yes, there's a... Grumpig?"
"Hm... I don't think Absol can fit inside this hole, you'll have to think of something else if you want to fight it."

OoC: Grumpig is awesome! I'm gonna capture it. Creativity time. Also, pig is swine, not suine.
IC:
Redino pulled himself out of the hole in the ground and sat down on the grass outside, next to Absol.
"Hm... I don't think Absol can fit inside this hole, you'll have to think of something else if you want to fight it." Hyacinth said.
Redino looked at the small opening in the rock, contemplating the different ways that Absol might try to lure out the Grumpig. After about thirty seconds an idea came to him.
"Allright Absol, here's how we should do this. I want you to use Hail, but ONLY in the cave, concentrate hard enough and you can contain it, I know you can. If the Grumpig doesn't get out of the cave, he'll freeze."
Absol turned away from the trainer and looked into the cave. The form of the Grumpig was only visible as a silouette, but it hadn't lost interest yet. Absol closed his eyes and let out a deep breath. The air temperature dropped significantly and Absol's breath was clearly visible as he breathed rythmically in and out. Then, the air temperature on the outside of the cave returned to normal and pitter pattering of hail on rock could be heard from inside the cave.
Redino smiled towards his strong and loyal partner and waited for the Grumpig to emerge.

"I don't think it's gonna work..." Hyacinth commented.
Absol focused, energy rising as the temperature fell around him. Suddenly, stormy clouds appeared in the sky, obscuring the light as they came.
A frosty aura surrounded the feline Pokemon as he tried to redirect the storm inside the cave, but to no avail.
It then started to hail. Chunks of ice fell from the sky, hitting the Pokemon and the humans alike, not even reaching the entrance of the cave.
From the inside, Grumpig watched with mild interest, wondering just what they were trying to do.
"Weather control moves- ouch!" Hyacinth said as he got it by a particularly big piece of ice, "can't be used indoors on a whim- they need to be conditions to be met. You can't make a sun appear out of nowhere, or rainy clouds if there's no humidity to work with. This stuff is tricky..." he added shielding his head.

Redino still managed to keep a calm composure as he was being struck by ice. He stood and walked toward Hyacinth, handing him an small umbrella from his bag.
"No matter" Redino said, "I can still get this to work. Absol, Blizzard into the cave. Now!"
Absol smiled a scary, wide, toothy grin and opened his mouth as big as he could. With a deep " 'SOL! ", he sent a frigidly cold blast of icy cold snow and ice out of his mouth towards the inside of the cave.
"Hopefully that cave isn't as big as it looks" Redino remarked, feeling nothing but bad vibes coming from his Ranger guide.

After the hail started falling, Redino handed the ranger an umbrella.
"Uh... T-thanks," Hyacinth said, surprised at the thoughtfullness of the boy. Maybe he had to think his evaluation of him over, for fairness sake.
"I can still get this to work," Redino said confidently. "Absol, Blizzard into the cave! Now! Hopefully that cave isn't as deep as it looks."
Absol smiled, and then drew in a big breath, getting pelted by the ice bits as they helped him creating a freezing wind rising from the depths. He then walked over to the cave, watching intently as the Grumpig stared at him back, and then huffed and puffed like the Big Bad Wolf, creating a whirling storm that rebound on the walls of the cave.
The Grumpig stood there, gaze fixed on its opponent, taking the hit as it was nothing. Its eyes darkened, becoming deeper than the three pearls on its body. It was eeire. A strange energy filled the area between the two of them, even as the Blizzard raged around the swine.
A ghastly beam flew over to the Dark Pokemon, confusing the poor Absol as it retreated from the entrance of the cave and shook around his head, his processes of thought getting cloudy, unable to think straight.
The hail hit him again.

Absol smiled dopily and teetered on its feet.
"Absol, you gotta pull yourself together! I trained you better than this", Redino coached.
Absol attempted to regain composure, but he didnt last long. With the stupid grin on his face, he sat down on the floor and sat facing Redino with his tounge sticking out of the corner of his mouth.
"OK, Fine, lets try a different aproach. Absol, use Dark Pulse into that cave, now!" Redino screamed at his partner.

"Absol, pull yourself together! I trained you better than this!" Redino coached.
Hearing his trainer's words, Absol had a brief flicker of sanity, but unfortunatly it didn't last. The confusion was too strong, he couldn't manage to snap out of it just yet.
"Fine, let's try a different approach. Absol, use Dark Pulse on the cave!"
The Dark Pokemon managed to turn in the cave's direction, but couldn't see the opening in his confused gazing. Glassy eyes peeled open, a twirling sphere of purple energy formed in Absol's mouth, black stripes traveling its surface. He then shot the purple beam, as darkness circles entwined themselves around the attack, hitting near the entrance of the cave- close, but not enough.
From the inside, Grumpig, seeing that no attack was coming, was quickly starting to lose interest- a little more, and it would've been gone.
"This battle isn't going anywhere..." Hyacinth said. "Wouldn't it be better to recall Absol, enter the cave, and then call him out inside? That way, you can battle more easily, and the confusion would go away."

Redino didn't turn to look at Hyacinth. "Good idea" He said raising a hand. "Absol. Return."
Absol tilted his head sideways, still confused as he turned into a blinding flash of red light and was absorbed into his Pokeball.
Redino jumped forward onto uneven ground and slid gracefully into the cave, scaring the Grumpig enough to make it jump backwards into the darker recesses of the cave.
Raising his hand again, Redino released Absol, who was no longer confused and came out growling.
"Absol, Night slash." Redino ordered. Absol reared his head and the horn atop it grew a midnight black, sucking the little light away from the inside of the cave.
Getsuga, Tenshou Redino thought in his head smiling at his own little joke as Absol tossed his head and sent a pitch black wave of pure dark energy hurtleing in a crescent shape towards the Grumpig.

OoC: Night Slash is a Physical Contact move, not a ranged move. No Bleach reference for you. Perhaps, though, if you tried, and I mean REALLY tried, a combo might let you do that. Plus, try to describe a little more, else I wouldn't know what would happen to the Grumpig...
***
Redino took the Ranger's advice, and recalled his Pokemon, only to enter the crevice and release Absol inside, where Grumpig, who had begun to walk away, turned, quite apathetic in truth. Absol growled as he was freed from the Pokeball. "Absol, Night Slash!" Redino ordered.
The white-furred Pokemon raised his head, swinging the blade-like horn as it grew thicker with dark energy pulsing through.
He then ran at his opponent, that carefully surveyed Absol's movements and, as he came closer the Psychic swine sidestepped, avoiding the full-power of the impact. However, Absol turned into Grumpig, and, despite having lost the momentum, still managed to deal a good deal of damage to his opponent.
Grumpig was sent on the wall, and hit it rather harshly. Shaking off the shock, the Pokemon glared at its opponent, joining arms in front of its head as the pearl shone brightly. An ethereal sphere erupted from it, and quickly flew towards the Dark Pokemon.

"Absol, knock that attack out of the way with an Ice Beam, then follow up with a strong bite attack." Redino orated.
Absol turned to see the rock hurtleing towards him and quickly opened his mouth to release a thin blue stream of glowing ice towards it, while he was jumping out of the way nimbly. The Power Gem attack was caught in the beam and diverted a little, the remainder of the ice beam hit a large stalagtite in the cave, covering it with beautiful shining ice, but Absol was not focusing on his foe's attack anymore, now jumping towards the Grumpig with an open mouth, teeth gleaming fiercely in the dark of the cave as Grumpig turned to try to escape the attack, squealing in displeasure, the pink and black pig Pokemon attempted to avoid the powerful jaws of his opponent.

OoC: well, for starter, copy/pasting parts of my post isn't gonna help- try to re-elaborate it a little in your own words. You were good in starting from the previous attack, but you have to go in deeper details when describing things. I know it doesn't come natural, but that's exactly why you have to keep trying. I went through the same process, trust me, I know what it means.
Anyway, you wanted advice? Imagine things in detail, and describe- colour, feeling they give, temperature, state of matter, feelings of the user (if he likes the attack, if he's hurting from a previous move, stuff like that), how the attack comes across, your trainer's comments on it.... You're only limited by your creativity. Next time you're making a post think twice about what you're about to write. Type it down, then say "is that really everything?". If the answer is yes, you're done.

As he saw the energy gem rocketing to his Pokemon, Redino went for the counter attack. "Absol, knock that attack out of the way with Ice Beam, then follow up with a strong Bite attack."
Absol tensed up, opening his mouth wide as he charged up. Chill energy twirled in his mouth, almost ready to be fired. And the attack was always closer.
The Dark Pokemon roared as a thin spray of teal beams left his mouth and collided with the very close Power Gem, managing to avert its course ever so slightly, getting only partially hit by the Rock-type attack as he dove left and charged forward to the Psychic swine, eager to sink his teeth in its tender flesh.
The purple and black Pokemon tried to get away from its assailant, but couldn't really find a way, only managing to duck right and avoid a full frontal impact, as Absol managed to get a good grasp on the Pokemon's arm.
Enraged, the Grumpig shot a deadly look at the Pokemon firmly attached to its arm, and then its pearls started shining again, as he prepared for another Power Gem.

OoC: Sorry for taking so long, and thanks for the advice, I do appreciate it.
Quick question: Just because an attack is physical, does that mean it can't be done from a distance?
Blood dripped from the wound on Absol's side caused by the Grumpig's last attack, but he ignored the pain and lunged forward to latch down on Grumpig's arm with a Bite attack.
Grumpig howled in pain as Absol bit his arm, but he regained his composure and began to charge up for a second Power Gem attack.
Absol heard Redino's voice from across the cave: "Absol, Bite down harder and see if you can toss that swine away from you."
Absol happily sunk his teeth deeper into the Grumpig's arm, sending warm metallic-tasting blood running into his mouth. Grumpig squealed loudly in pain and lost focus as it tried to pull away from the vicegrip that was Absol's teeth.
Absol took the Grumpig's loss of footing and used the opportunity to send it hurtleing through the air towards the other end of the cave.
Grumpig continued to squeal as it spiraled breifly through the air towards the other end of the cave, where it landed only two meters from the cave wall.
Absol straightened up and looked towards the Grumpig, eyes maniacly sparkleing in the dim light of the gave and blood flowing from the corners of his mouth. The pain from the wound on his side faded from the adrenaline coursing through his body, and Redino's vouce was distant in his ringing ears: "Absol, Will-O-Wisp"
Opening his blood stained mouth, Absol released a trio of light bluish white flickering flames, which all shot in the direction of the Grumpig with a roar.
Redino smiled and reached towards his belt to remove one of his HyperBalls

OoC: it's not a matter of physical or special, but more of contact and no contact. Barring few examples, though (like Bonemerang, Magnitude and Earthquake) Physical moves equal contact and close combat. Bullet Punch and Mach Punch are contact too, but they're so fast that you don't see them, and Shadow Punch, being a ghost move, can be used as a ranged attack too.
Better stick to the general rule though: contact moves are close range.
Also, don't "bunny" Grumpig's reaction. To bunny means take control of another person's character (such as the wild Grumpig, technically mine). You keep saying it gets scared, but I never gave any notice of Grumpig showing emotions. Well, other than being rather pissed at being hit.

Absol kept a firm grip on the swine's arm, and as it prepared its next attack Redino said its next attack.
"Absol, bite down harder and see if you can toss that swine away!"
The white-furred Pokemon complied by sinking his sharp canines deeper into the opponent's flesh, then proceeded to swing his head around to toss Grumpig away as it tried to stay still and focus the Power Gem.
The Absol threw his opponent away with one last swing, sending Grumpig towards the wall of the cave- not that it really mattered much. Sure, Grumpig dropped its previous attack, but it was simply to redirect its attention to its spring-like tail, bouncing off the wall and avoiding further damage, quickly going towards its opponent Absol to crash on him.
"Absol, Will-O-Wisp!" Redino added.
Embers of chilling fire appeared in the Pokemon's mouth, dancing aloof in the still air, lighting the cave an eeire blue, giving Absol a rather sadist look- more Ax Crazy, actually- in the mild lighting.
Grumpig was already going to crash into its opponent, so had really no chance to stray from its path, thus colliding directly with Absol- and the Will-O-Wisps. The ghastly flames seemed to explode on contact, grazing the black swine's skin and causing pain- exactly the purpose they had been made for.
Both recoiled from the Splash attack and retreated ever so slightly. Recovering from its own attack, and hurting inside from the burn, but not showing any of it, the Pig Pokemon tried again to charge up another Power Gem.
Third time's the charm I guess.

OoC: sorry 'bout the bunnying, I didnt realize I was doing it.
Redino took a fresh HyperBall from his belt and took aim at the Grumpig, releasing the green ball spinning through the air at almost a blinding speed.
Redino hoped that the Grumpig would be to busy focusing its attack at Absol and hurting from its burn to take notice of the little green ball flying towards it.
To be cautious though, Redino ordered Absol to dodge the inoming attack.
Absol's singed fur was a dirty black color on his body, but he didnt seemed affected by it as he started a pattern of zig-zagged running throughout the cave, hopefully making himself a harder target for the Grumpig and also pulling more of its attention towards him.

Redino ordered his Pokemon to divert Grumpig's attention to himself as he threw the Hyper Ball towards the black and purple swine. Grumpig was quick to follow the wildcat with its eyes, the Power Gems quickly reaching the critical mass, lighting the cave with their supernatural hue.
Hyacinth, meanwhile, was still outside, under the umbrella the trainer kindly lent him, and peeking inside the hole, but seeing next to nothing, wondered what was going on- he quickly got a little farther to let as much light as it was possible. "Good thing that the hail seems to be dying down..."
Back inside, Redino saw fit throwing the Hyper Ball as Grumpig tried to hit Absol with the Power Gem attacks, that flew behind the Dark Pokemon as he pounced on the walls and swerved, trying to shake them off.
Suddenly, Absol tripped on a speck of ice from his earlier Ice Beam, and the Power Gem were nearing quite dangerously...
But they missed, as Grumpig was sucked inside the Hyper Ball, and hit a wall instead, much to Absol's relief.
The sphere fell on the ground, wobbling, leaving the trainer with held breath...
It shook once.
Twice...
Thrice...
And then it opened with a huge flashy light, Grumpig leaving the sphere a little confused. It looked on the ground, then up to the human, and back and forth until the strange feeling from being "imprisoned" inside the ball faded away.
The Pokemon decided it didn't really like it, giving quite the glare in Redino's direction. Hurting from the burn, the swine's eyes glew an uneathly hue, as a rainbow-coloured beam prepared inside the head gem.
The Psybeam fired, targeting the human, twirling and moving in the air with an erratic path...

OoC: Anything is possible, right? (S-CRY-ED plus Bleach, in a Pokemon roleplay lol)
Redino leapt to the side, landing on his hands and springing off of them, landing three feet away on the tips of his toes. The Psybeam attack hitting the wall where he had been standing, singeing his cape. He stood to full height and drew the sword that was on his back, the view obscured behind his cape. He held it ouw directly towards the Grumpig and announced "Fire, Kyanon"
Wind erupted from Redino's body as he released his Shikai. When the wind settled, Redino's appearance had changed drastically. His right arm was gone, covered completely by golden plating, with a ruby red sphere at his elbow and three fierce curved red fins on his shoulder blade. His hand had also changed, the fingers had become covered with the blood red metal, and his palm had completely disapeared, replaced by a muzzle- like hole. His entire arm had bulked up in shape, and it looked rather unnatural, as if his right arm was much stronger than his left.
Redino smiled as he grabbed a fresh Hyper Ball from his belt with his right hand, smiling wider as the ball disapeared into the hole that was his palm. "Shocking First Bullet" Redino announced, raising his right arm and pointing it towards the Grumpig.
One of the three curved fins from his shoulder blade disolved into thin air, with a smell of sulfur as an explosion resounded from inside Redio's arm, sending the Hyper Ball flying at unparallelled speeds towards the Grumpig.

OoC: srry for the extreme lateness, been REAL busy lately x.x Also, I don't think human characters are allowed supenatural feats in the park... I'll have to ask- for now, though, I'll just put it into the "flashy pyrotechnics" stuff. Also, I hope you didn't just make up the name of the sword on the spot, as the shikai release usually has connection with the sword's name.
Yes, I read bleach.
Another note, your right arm is much bigger than your left? MAkes you wonder for what you use it so much...

Redino hastily dodged the Psybeam attack, making his ranger wonder what was happening in there. "What's going on?" he asked as he saw the psychic attack dangerously close to his trainer, although it missed- which made him breath in relief.
The boy actually peeked in further, trying to get a clear vision of what was happening- not having much luck as the cave really needed some light source.
Then, suddenly, he saw some quick movement from Redino, as he uttered the words "Fire, Kyanon." Hyacinth was blinded by the resulting flash of light that erupted from the man- he made a mental note to ask about it to the trainer later. Although Absol looked fine after the whole I'm-ooh-shiny-and-cool-now-I'll-do-my-Magical-Girl-Transformation-Sequence thingy- perhaps he learned not to stare- Grumpig was not, understandably, it just stared directly and, well, you know the rest.
Redino appeared changed after that- not that Hyacinth could see, being temporairly as blind as a mole. In fact, the boy could only hear the other man say "Shocking First Bullet" but really could not imagine what it was all about- maybe it was just a fancy name for "I'll be throwing my ball now"?
Turns out it was. Like a cannon, his right arm shot the Hyperball at the Pokemon, all the while filling the room with gunpowder and general explosion smell, counting that the Pokemon was porbably too blind to actually dodge the ball. He was completely right.
The sphere absorbed the Grumpig, but it didn't stop there- oh no. While there was some servomechanism that would prevent it from going further in normal situation, like say, a human throwing it instead of a cannon, this servomechanism broke due to the speed the sphere was launched at, and it kept ricocheting through the cave until it lost momentum and rolled harmlessly on the ground.
The sphere didn't seem to let Grumpig out- but maybe it was just because it was broken- who knows?

IC:
Redino smiled widely and looked over to Absol. "Not bad for being retired and out of practice right buddy?" Absol smiled and shook his head slowly, walking over to Redino.
Redino walked over to the other side of the cave, where the three Hyperballs were and picked them up with his left hand. He put away the empty one and the one with Poochyena in it, then examined the ball that now contained Grumpig. "Its pretty banged up, remind me to get a real ball for this guy later, okay Absol?"
Absol grunted in agreement as he lay down on the floor of the cave and put his head on his paws. Redino walked back over to Absol and stroked his back, calling up to Hyacinth "I got the Grumpig!"
While waiting for Hyacinth's reply, Redino looked at his arm. Covered in gold, with two of his red fins remaining, it was not like any of the other swords from Soul Society, which was one of many reasons he had been kicked out. Shaking his head and returning to the present, Redino stood up and walked to the lip of the cave. It felt to good to have his Shikai out, so he left it and pulled himself out of the cave. Absol followed close behind. They both emerged from the cave and blinked back the sun that was emerging from the clouds. Redino took the time to spray Absol quickly with a potion.

OoC: bad news: you can't do any supernatural stuff. Either you come with a logical explanation, and I don't think you can- especially since you never mentioned that sword in your description either.
So either we skip past this whole transformation or you have a reasonable, non-magical explanation.
Also, I believe you mixed up Shikai and a Hollow's Bankai. The Shikai changes the shape of the sword, but it does not fuse it with the user body- no sword in Bleach has done that. They also usually keep the form of a bladed weapon (if they're the physical type) or assume totally random forms if magical type (like Haneneko that becomes sand capable of cutting anything it touches)
Bankai too don't fuse with the user body- barring Ichigo's. They are the spirit of the sword that takes form, and they're usually big. Very big.
Hollow's Bankai however are different- I'm not even sure they're bankai actually.
But why am I making a conference over Bleach? You can't use it anyway.

Hyacinth was still blinded by the sudden flash- when he heard the trainer saying "I caught Grumpig!" Blinking a little, the ranger felt better at Redino's exploit.
"That's good," he said, shaking his head as his vision was still a little blurry. "Say, you want to get out of there, or you want to continue exploring the cave?"
It had now stopped hailing, and the pellets of ice were not sitting on the ground, soon to be melted when the sun would come out of the clouds' screen. The sudden downpour had frightened most Pokemon, that now that it finished, they started slowly flocking back outside- which meant it was no big deal that the patch behind the ranger was rustling. Another Pokemon, maybe?
"Unown," the Pokemon said as it floated out of the grassland. Its big eye surveyed the human interestingly as he asked the trainer what he wanted to do.
On the other side of the spectrum, through, the cave was still very dark as it went on and on- a low growl echoed through the walls, as if calling out something, or someone...

Quick question: how does Ichigo's Bankai fuse with his body?
And, I think I did mention the sword in one of my earlier posts, but breifly.
IC: Redino climbed out of the cave after gatering all three of the Park Balls that were scattered across the cave and spraying Absol with a potion. He needed desperately to work on bettering his aim. He straightened up and stood next to Hyacinth, politely taking his umbrella back from him.
"Unown" The hovering cyclops pokemon announced to the pair of them as Absol struggled out of the cave.
Redino turned to Hyacinth and said "I don't want to engage this one, Hyacinth. I do want to go that way though" He continued, pointing deeper into the sparse woods that surrounded the area.
Redino grabbed a Poffin from his bag and tossed it gently towards the Unown as he turned and strided the other way.

Redino decided he'd rather not fight Unown, and threw a small treat to the alphabetical Pokemon to distract it long enough for the two guys to get away.
Hyacinth, still a little bothered by the flash of light from earlier, squeezed his eyes in the direction the other trainer pointed at, towards a scarce couple of trees not too faraway. "Sure, let's go," Hyacinth said.
They began walking a patch of tall grass, when suddenly Redino stepped on something flat.
He really shouldn't have- not that he could've seen it.
As the trainer removed his foot, the Pokemon flew in the air, taking some distance from the two humans, an angry look in its eye.

"Why did he have to sleep on the ground!?" Redino said angrily, turning towards the Unown flying in the air. "Two in a row too dammit."
Redino looked around for something to distract the Pokemon with, finding nothing.
"Absol, I need you to use an Icy Wind attack to blind it quickly, then build a protect barrier and follow me as we run."
Absol nodded in agreement. He was in no mood to fight an Unown either. Absol opened his mouth wide and pellets of snow and hail flew out, surrounding the Unown, then he concentrated and built a barrier between the Unown and the three of them.
Redino turned and began to jog away, leaving the Unown hovering in the air. Absol followed, maintaining the barrier that protected himself and the two trainers.

Redino didn't want to fight nor this Unown nor any other that would come his way, so he quickly ordered his Absol an Icy Wind, hoping to divert its attention for long enough to allow for a tactical retreat. The Pokemon didn't feel very cool about bailing out of a battle, but he really wasn't going to upset his master over such a petty fight by ignoring his order.
The pure-white Pokemon inhaled, chilly air coating his mouth, as his fur stuck out as if hit by static while the disaster Pokemon tapped in the freezing energy. He summoned a cold whirlwing to hit the Unown with, and as some ice scraps stuck into its eye- which is a big deal when it represents more or less half of your body mass- the three of them decided it was time to get away.
Huffing and heaving, the two guys stopped when they deemed it was safe enough to do so, while the Absol didn't seem as much fatigued by the run as they were. Hyacinth actually sat down rather hastily, to feel more comfortable while he caught his breath.
A bell was then heard, even though they really couldn't fathom the source. Looking around, Absol attracted his trainer's attention to a rather big rock nearby. In fact, from said rock, one could notice something red and white peeking out. Then, after a moment, a copper-looking sphere jumped out, with little ribbons flying about as it moved, ever tingling.
"Hey there, little one," greeted it the ranger.
As it then noticed the big fluffy Absol, it leapt up with a cry of joy and wrapped itself around the Pokemon's furry neck, much to his surprise. The bell Pokemon then quickly let go, only to latch again, this time on Redino, then on the ranger boy. "Aren't you a cheerful fellow," Hyacinth said in contact with the ticklish sensation.
The bell Pokemon let then go and stood floating still, looking around at them.

The night time aproached faster than Redino had expected it to, and when he heard the ringing of the Chingling, he was taken aback.
Hyacinth laughed at Chingling as it wrapped itself around his neck quickly.
"Aren't you a cheerful fellow," he said.
Redino couldnt help but smile, the little bell Pokemon was so adorable. He sat down on the grass across from Hyacinth and reached out towards the bouncing little Pokemon.
"I would really rather not fight this one either," Redino said to Hyacinth. "As soon as you catch your breath we should keep moving. I love the nightime, but it puts us at a significant disadvantage considering we can't see."
OoC: sorry for not fighting so many of them
EDIT: Put Grumpig as Male

OoC: no big deal, I'm sure you were hoping to find something better, didn't you? I'm pretty sure you had lucked out with this Grumpig here, though. But who knows?

"I would really rather not fight this one either," Redino said to Hyacinth. "As soon as you catch your breath we should keep moving. I love the nightime, but it puts us at a significant disadvantage considering we can't see."
Chingling seemed pretty unhappy hearing that, almost tearing up. "Aww, don't be like that," Hyacinth tried to cheer it up. "I'll come over and play some other time, ok?" He then stood up, after petting the little Pokemon, and told the trainer. "I guess we're ready to go. See you later!" he waved his hand at the little Pokemon, and both groups began walking away...
Sometime later, a bush rustled to Redino's right. It first surprised him, but then a Delibird actually came out of that, franctically looking for something, and it surprised him even more. The flying Pokemon looked to the left and to the right, apparently unaware of the people around, when it hit the trainer. Surprised, it looked up first, cocking its head to the side, then as it noticed Hyacinth, it squeaked and ran to the Ranger.
"What are you doing here?" the ranger asked the Delibird. "Aren't you supposed to be working with your friends during this period?"
The christmas-themed bird waved its wings, then began searching the sack it took around, then handed the ranger a letter.
Dear Ranger or whoever else finds this letter,
I've had serious inconveniences this year, thus I believe I have to burden you people. Due to many things going on lately, my Delibirds are now visiting the Park to fill out missions on my behalf. Please lend them your assistance, if you can.
Yours truly
The rest was unintelligible writing, but Hyacinth had a clear idea on who the author was.
He folded it again, and gave it back to the Pokemon. "I guess you came looking for our help, didn't you? What do you need?"
The bird Pokemon rummaged through its sack, then took out a picture of a Chingling, two guys singing carols, and gingerbread cookies.
"What do you think it's looking for?"

The Delibird popped out of nowhere and then saw Hyacinth. It ran over and showed him a paper with singing people, a Chingling, and cookies. The bird Pokemon seemed very frantic and anxious to find what he was looking for.
"Hey there buddy" Redino said to the Delibird. "Do you think you could maybe bring us to what you want?"
Inspired suddenly by an idea, Redino turned to Hyacinth "Maybe we should go back and find that Chingling that we were just with before?"

OoC: I would've replied, if you gave me some grounds to work on -.- this post is unmanageable.

"Maybe we should go back and find that Chingling that we were just with before?" Redino asked.
"It's probably what this guy's looking for," the ranger replied. "Only, I wasn't really paying attention, plus it's likely that that Pokemon is gone by now. It's worth the try, though."
So, with Hyacinth leading and the Delibird in tow, the three of them backtracked to the earlier rock, but, as one would expect, the cheerful fellow wasn't there. "I thought so," Hyacinth muttered under his breath.
The small bush from which the bell Pokemon earlier jumped out were dead silent, like anything else around there. It was kind of eeire, truth be told.
Silence. Not even the wind was blowing, everything looked like frozen in time- and the fact that it was night didn't help things the slightest.
Suddenly, four small stones fell from the sky, surrounding the groud of people. energy cracking out o fhtme, they shot a net of light all around themselves, finally forming some kind of closed off arena. From the point where all the light gathered, a purple mist descended, green twirls restlessly moving inside it. It hovered, until it met the ground, and thenit took form, a spiraling mist of purple energy, with green beads surfacing every so often. It opened hollow eyes, and stared down at the humans, making them flinch...

"Ugh, a spiritomb" Redino said in disgust. "What vile cowardly creatures, trapping us so that it can attack us without us dodging"
Absol crouched down and growled at the floating purple orb.
"Absol, use stone edge, now"
Absol stared at the ground in concentration until a small pile of stones rose from the ground and flew straight towards the floating spiritomb
The pokemon's black empty void of a mouth opened up in a cackle as the attack started to approach

OoC: hm... you truly could've done much better.

Redino was disgusted at the Ghost' Pokemon actions- how sneaky, how dare it have some kind of strategy other than blind attacking and hoping it'll go for the best? "Absol, use Stone Edge, now!" the human ordered.
The lush Dark Pokemon focused its strength, stomping his paw on the ground, cracking it. Stones flew up, surrounding the Pokemon, and with a swing of its head blade, the Catastrophe Pokemon sent them rocketing to his opponent.
Who, being telegraphed its opponent's move, didn't waste any time setting up a counter-attack. The swirling mass of its body seemed to take a turn for the darker end of the spectrum scale, as a whirlwind of malevolent energy surrounded it. An almost tangible, oddly purplish wind started blowing, wrapping itself around the sealed, floating Pokemon to defend itself, creating an ominous tornado on which the Stone Edge bounced off harmlessly...
Or maybe not. The attack, now disrupted, was caught in the tornado, and so the rocks added to the potential danger of the Ominous Wind, slowly crumbling to smaller debris...

Due to inactivity, Redino's RP ends here. He agreed to end it, and while I do agree it's a shame, I guess this is for the better, as this way I can (maybe) pick some other trainer.
