View Full Version : Box Trick Backfire?

Anybody know the mechanics regarding the infamous box trick?

I'm training a pokemon with the Pokerus so i have to keep dropping it in the box when i'm done for the session. Sometimes, i only battle it's experience halfway to the next level and drop it off. I've noticed, of course, that it's stats have gone up when i take it out.

QUESTiON: Am i, in any way, screwing myself over with stat experience? Is all that stat exp stored away, which should be boosting the stats 3, 4, or 5 points when it gains a level just getting wasted on drop offs? For example, does any left over stat exp get erased when it's removed from the box or does it stay stored up to be added to the next batch it recieves? Or, is it all the same? 2 points here and there between levels as opposed to 4 or 5 all at once.

I hope i made sense... This question has be bothering me for a while.

I think the pokerus just substitutes for battle experience...but Ive only used the pokerus box trick once, so Im not incredibly familiar with it...
