How do I evolve Eevee into Umbreon/espeon in the new games

I have a freind who wants an umbreon lg/fr and he thinks a moon stone will help. Does it? If not I want to know how.

in order to get umbreon/espeon in fr or lg you have to first trade the eevee to ruby/sapphire, max out its happiness,level up, then depending on the time itll evolve day-espeon

the moon stone has no effect, so in order to have umbreon/espeon in lg/fr you gotta trade to ru/sa.:doh:

Thxs I tryed to tell him that it was in R/S only but he wouldnt listen. He`s busy trying to get eevee to level 50 to use the moon stone on it.:lol:

Thats wrong. Something got messed up in the programing and its now:
Morning/day-Umbreon
Night-Espeon
Don't ask, I have know idea why its that way now.

Not in R/S. Not to sure about Emerald though cause I don't have it. You can also trade Espeon/Umbreon from PC or Eevee from XD, breed then evolve them.

I think it's random... I was working on evolving 2 Eevees, both evolved around 10pm, first go, both evolved into Espeon, so I stopped one. After a couple level ups, he evolved into Umbreon... Just a little something to ponder

it's probably because during the time you were leveling up it turned day/night

That could be true...

I tried to get Umbreon once... Kept changing into Espeon...

I tried every hour untill 2:00 am. Finally got it :P

and yes, my time is set correctly.

Moonstone or sunstone sounds logicall but it won't work that way.
