Ok i just got a milotic it is in level 42.

It knows Hydro Pump, Rain Dance, Surf and Recover any suggestion on how i can make it better and stronger.

Switch hydro pump to something like ice beam.

My battle stragety has always been 'Don't use non-effective moves'. I hate long battles, so I always just taught my mons strong attacks and a few of them know healing just in case.

Well, you can switch Rain Dance for Iron Tail or Water Pulse. Then try and switch Recover for Substitue if you have Emerald. If you don't, keep it.

It's really useful when your low on HP and there's a small chance you'll get hit again after you heal yourself with an item.

Personally, I would switch Hydro Pump with Safeguard.

Edit: PM Megumi about Milotic. She seems to know the most about water Pokemon.

Ok, lets look at its stats before we go around throwing moves on a Pokemon. Iron Tail will do damage to WHAT Pokemon? Uh, it'll hurt Rock and Ice types, and that is about it. Rock is weak to Water, and you should have 5 other Pokemon on your team to battle the Water/Ice Pokemon, since Surf is Neutral or SE to the other Ice types. On top of that, Milo's Attack stat sucks, so Iron Tail will not be doing that much damage anyway.

Water Pulse is stupid because, well, its a fun move, not a move you should be using a lot. Jirachi is about the only Pokemon I'd give it to, with Thunder as well, since Thunder would have a 60% chance to PAR and WP would have a 40% chance to Confuse. But Water Pulse on anything else is just a novelty move.

For an effective Milotic, I'd suggest Ice Beam over Rain Dance and Hypnosis over Hydro Pump. Refresh could go over Hypnosis if you don't feel like breeding.

Breed a female Feebas or Milotic with a male Poliwag that knows Hypnosis. Anyway, go with the Surf/Recover/Hypnosis/Ice Beam moveset. Iron Tail is a bad move for Milotic; seeing as how her Attack stat is just horrid.

Milotic is more of a tank or staller than an attacker, anyway. Believe me, she'll be hard to take down with that moveset.

Right now, I am trying to breed my female Milo with a male Poliwag knowing Hypnosis....I have tried with some other MIlos and Wags but the never seem to like each other....

Just something of the same egg group that knows Hypnosis.

Honestly, if you're looking to play this for in-game only, don't waste too much time on strategy. Surf will pull you through half of the time(Though honestly, I like something with more PP. Surf and other similar moves run out too fast during my training sessions), and the other half you switch. Competitively, this is in the wrong board. Ice Beam does work, and you may want Rest or something.

Heh that is SO true! if you want evidence, try beating the Beauty trainer with the Female Milotic south east of Fortree City. Her Defense is Huge but her attack is considerably low.

...Uh, no. Milotic doesn't have the Attack to pull off Iron Tail, and Sheer Cold is just worthless.

Do not take that advice. You want to teach Milotic different moves, including one or two moves of its type. Especially not Sheer Cold. =P
