Should I get all of the starters for D/P? I am getting both games and my sister said I can use her DS for it. Should I or shouldn't I? Please help.

Its really you choice. If you really want to and think that you'll be using all three of them a lot or for your permanet team than do it. A lot of people will do it to have them in there Pokedex or to just have em all or just 2/3 of them.

I would.

It gives you more options later on. Plus it helps u fill the pokedex faster.

I wouldn't. I would wait until later in the game to do that. :P

I think you should, because sooner or later, you are gonna have to if you wanna complete the pokedex.

It doesnt matter because he has a lot of time. Its not like there's some kind of time limit or something that tells you to do it as soon as you get the game or something. He can do it once he beats the Elite four or something. Theres no rush.

Maybe you should wait until later in the game.

I think you should get them all. Chimchar because there is a lack of fire pokemon. And Turtwig and Pilpup because they heve new type combos for there final evolution.

I think you should. I mean, I would jump at that opportunity to have all three starters! It would really make your battling much easier and much more fun. You could always deposit some starter if you don't like it.

no you do not
What do you mean 'no, you do not'. You need EVERY POKEMON to complete it.

I think (s)he's talking about the fact that in d/p you only have to see them to count in your pokedex.

Also, I think you should get the three starters becuase if nothing else you could trade them using wifi.

I think you should so you can get all 493 pokemon without trading for the 4th generation starters.

I wouldn't. But maybe I would just to complete my pokedex, I know you just have to see a pokemon for it to be counted, but You only get 6 slots and I wouldn't waste 3 on starters, I would waste 2, (Piplup, and Turtwig). But it's up to you. Oh, and later I would because, like in emerald when you get a certain amount of pokemon, you get the staters from the previous generation. In Emerald you had to have around 200, and you get one of the Johto starters.

Hellz ya you should! First you get to fill in your pokedex and you can also breed them to trade with other poeple who want them and they might trade you sumthin good for them.

Why wouldn't you? I don't get it. Is there a limit or something?

For the pokedex it's a good idea but I'm thinking about having Torterra and Infernape, not Emploion! Maybe...

thats true, but how will u get all three Pokemon if you only have 2 games/ds

Razzmatazz

thats true

Posts have to be four words long... and meaningful, unlike any of yours.

There is really no reason not to. You'll eventually do it no matter what for the PokeDex, so why not do it in the begining when you can easily restart games to trade starters.

Aren't starters quite useful ingame? Their stats are good. And to get an early variety of types is great, especially since Fire types are practically non-existent in the Sinnoh wild.
