Does anybody know what they are giving up for lent? I'm giving up Candy and Pop, along with making an effort to see some sort of movie about Christ. *cough*thepassionofthechrist*cough*

I know that my freind jo was giving up sweets then she said to us in geography that last night she had chocolates and with marshmellows, so when we told her that marshmellows were sweets she was arguing the fact they werent until we asked another girl in our class whose father own a swwt shop and she said marshmellows were classed as sweets then she gave in........it was funny at the time

You give up sumfin for 40 days i think because Jesus never had food or anything like that I think and SAtan was tempting him all the time

Lent is the forty days of the year when Jesus was Praying in a desert. And yes Satan tempted him three times. And Jesus said no 3 times. And Christians give up something for 40 days in remembrance of Jesus.
