So how do you play cricket? It's a bat and ball game like baseball.

Anyone care to explain in simple terms...Wikipedia's article is too long and confusing.

I can only give you bits and pieces of info about cricket because I only know a little bit about it and have never played it before. Think of this as a brief intro to cricket.

- Unlike baseball, everybody on the team gets a chance to swing at the ball before switching from offense to defense.

- Instead of a bat (a long rounded club for those who don't know), cricket players use a long flat paddle (I don't know what the name of it is, but it was featured in 'Shaun of the Dead').

- When pitching, the ball has to hit the ground and then bounce back up. The pitcher aims for this metal setup that's behind the person swinging (no catcher).

That's all I know. If I got any information wrong, please correct.
